China Journal of Orthopaedics and Traumatology 2014;27(3):250-254
OBJECTIVETo investigate the type and corresponding operation methods of ulnar lateral mass in distal radial fractures.
METHODSFrom January 2004 to September 2010,32 cases of distal radial fractures with ulnar lateral mass were treated by surgical incision and relocate ulnar lateral mass, including 23 males and 9 females with an average age of (34 +/- 9) years old ranging from 28 to 65 years old. According to the classification of Melone-Doi, 2 cases with type I, 24 cases of type II, 6 cases with type III. The operative appoach involved palm-radial, palm-ulnar, radial-dorsal. Among them, 28 patients with closed fractures were fixed with plate, 4 cases (including 2 cases of open fractures) were fixed by Kirschner pin and braces.
RESULTSThirty-two patients were followed up for 8 to 18 months with an average of 12 months. All fractures were healing without complications. According to modified Gartland-Werley scoring system (GWSS), the total score was 1.12 +/- 0.45, the remain deformity was 0, subjective evaluation was 0.50 +/- 0.30, objective evaluation was 0.30 +/- 0.21, complications was 0.40 +/- 0.09; the result was excellent in 21 cases, good in 11 cases.
CONCLUSIONThe location of ulnar lateral mass in distal radial fractures is one of the important prognostic factors in wrist function and surgical treatment is an effective method of fixing ulnar lateral mass in distal radial fractures.

Journal of Practical Radiology 2001;17(4):247-249
Objective To investigate the effect of microcatheter in chemoembolization of HCC. Methods Using 4-F ~ 5-F Yashiro/Kouno and 5-F Hook catheters as guiding catheter,3-F microcatheter was put into segmental hepatic artery or tumor feeding artery and chemoembolization was carried out. Results All 35 cases had 50 times chemoembolizations totally, of them, 16 cases with small HCC had segmental TAE and 19 cases with large but localized HCC had right/left hepatic artery or anterio/posterio brtaneh of right hepatic artery embolization,1 ~2 year survial rates were 100% ,87.5% and 52.6% ,42. 1% respectively after TAE. Liver function damage after TAE was slight and no complications occurred. Conclusion Improving embolization precision by using microcatheter is valuable in the cases with small HCC or large but localized HCC with tortuous hepatic artery, hepatic artery stenosis after injury and variations.

Objective To investigate whether or not extracorporeal shock wave (ESW) treatment is safe for treating low back pain caused by lumbar facet joint degeneration by observing its effects on the lumbar segment of the spinal cord. Methods Five adult dogs were used for this study.ESWs were focused on their right L_(4~5) facet joints. The energy output was set at 40% of the maximum output, and a total of 1000 shocks were delivered at a frequency of 120/min.Before and 3 days after the treatment, the somatosensory evoked potentials (SEPs) induced by stimulating the tibial nerve were recorded from the animals' scalps, and the motor function of their hind limbs was evaluated with Tarlov's scale. The animals were then sacrificed and the L_(4~5) segments of their spinal cords were taken for histopatho- logical observation, with the T_(12) segments taken as controls. Results Three days after ESW treatment, the left and the right hind limbs scored 5 and 4 on the Tarlov scale. The amplitude of SEPs decreased and their latency increased. Histopathological observation showed mild swelling of the L_(4~5) segment of the spinal cord with congested veins on the surface.Erythrocyte and leukocyte exudation as well as myelin sheath swelling in the spinal cord were also observed un- der the microscope, but with no demyelination. Conclusion ESW had some adverse effects on the spinal cord when focused on the facet joint.Further studies of the safety range of ESW energy and distance are needed.

AlM:To compare the clinical results of different surgical methods for diabetic antipathy.
METHODS: Eighty cases ( 102 eyes ) with diabetic antipathy were selected in our hospital from January 2012 to December 2013. Thirty-eight cases (48 eyes) in group A received joint surgical treatment, 42 cases (54 eyes) in group B took staging of surgical treatment. The clinical effect was observed in both groups.
RESULTS: The vision after surgery was improved than that of before surgery in two groups, there were no significant differences ( P > 0. 05 ). A postoperative complication rate was 16. 7% in group A and 22. 2% in group B, showed no significant difference (P>0. 05).
CONCLUSlON: Surgery and staging joint surgery are both feasible for diabetic retinopathy patients, can, improve the visionr. Both of them are worthy of clinical application.

Objective To explore the clinical effects of aminophylline on bronchiolitis in children. Methods One hundred and twen-ty-eight children with bronchiolitis in our hospital were randomly divided into the experiment and treated control group,in the meantime, and divided into the severe and mild group according to their condition. The children in control group were treated with traditional methods,in experiment group were treated with aminophylline(2 mg/kg,every day one time),as well as used traditional methods. All patients in 2 groups were checked by volume (VT), inhale time and exhale time ratio (Ti/tE),time to peak expiratory flow and expiratory time ratio(tPTEF/Te),time to peak expiratory flow to total expiratory time and volume ratio(vPTEF/vE) respectively. Meanwhile pulmonary function,alkyla-denine glycosylase in trachea secretion,IL-8,cytotaxonomy in trachea secretion on time, after the third day and the 7th day.Their curative effects were evaluated. All parameters were analyzed by statistical methods. Results Cytotaxonomy of the patients in the experiment were more improved than that of control group(P

Aim To study anti-inflammatory and antibacterial effects of total flavones of oldenlandia diffusa Willd(FOD).Methods The models of dimethylbenzene-induced ear swollen in mice,turpentine-induced granuloma pouch in rats, paw edema caused by egg white in rats, increased vascular permeability by acetic acid in mice and the antibacterial activity in vitro were used to study FOD. Results FOD(15、30 and 60 mg?kg~-1 )show a marked suppressive effect on dimethylbenzene-induced ear swollen and increased vascular permeability in mice. In addition,FOD(12、24 and 48 mg?kg~-1 ) could reduce the paws edema and the granuloma pouch in rats.On the other hand,FOD had significally bacteriostatic effects against eight kinds of bacterial in vitro, in which effect on coccus is superior to that on bacillus. Conclusion FOD has anti-inflammatory and antibacterial effects.

Aim To investigate the immunomdulatory effects of total flavones of oldenlandia diffusa willd (FOD).Methods In immunosuppressed mice induced by cyclophosphamide, IgM production, proliferation of T and B lymphocytes, levels of IL-2 and INF-? in serum were used to study the specific immunity of FOD. White blood cell count of mice suppressed by cyclophosphamide and cytarabine was used to observe the non-specific immunity of FOD.Results FOD(60 (mg?kg~(-1))) enhanced IgM production in (immunosup-)pressed mice induced by Cy and white blood cell count of mice suppressed by cytarabine and cyclophosphamide ;FOD(15,30 and 60 mg?kg~(-1)) increased proliferation of T and B lymphocytes and enhanced levels of IL-2 and INF-? in serum in immunosuppressed mice induced by cyclophosphamide. Conclusion FOD enhances the specific and non-specific immunity.
