Chinese Traditional Patent Medicine 1992;0(09):-
AIM: To establish a specific method for identifying Bailing Capsule(Synnematum sinense,Yin et shen sp.now).METHODS: Using fermented cordyceps powder(C_S-C-Q80),adenosine and uridine as reference standards,a HPLC fingerprint at 260 nm has been established for identification of Bailing Capsule, using Alltima C_(18)(250 mm?4.6 mm,5 ?m) column and acetonitrile-0.04 mol/L KH_2PO_4 in gradient elution as a mobile phase. The flow rate was 0.8 ml/min. RESULTS: The relative standard deviations of stability, precision and reproducibility was less than 3% respectively. The relative standard deviation of relative retention time was less than 5% compared with other HPLC apparatuses and different colunms. CONCLUSION: The method established in this paper has the exclusivity and can be used to identify the Bailing Capsule.
2.Various theories on cosmology and its evolution in western medicine and Chinese medicine
China Journal of Traditional Chinese Medicine and Pharmacy 2006;0(09):-
Philosophy has exerted greatly influences on both western medicine and Chinese medicine, both medicines have quite distinctive and interesting recognitions on illness and human being which reflect their own cosmology and its evolutionary progress.A renown scholar ZHU Xi in the Song dynasty of China has reached the peak of neo-Confucianism and elaborated a lot of theories on Chinese cosmology by summarizing scientific achievements at that time;while Immanuel Kant has done very similar to the western world of cosmology. However, their theories make obvious different. As far as the evolution of humankind is concerned,Karl Popper has contributed his distinguished idea that the brain is the center for evolution. To this point, the theory of Chinese medicine, regarding the human-brain as the Ni Wan,ocean of the marrow.Furthermore, the system that the Ren Meridian and the Du Meridian corresponding to human upright vertebrae column in traditional Chinese medicine, makes an in-depth sense, too.

5.Research Progress in Traditional Chinese Medicines for the Therapy of Epilepsy
China Pharmacist 2017;20(9):1583-1588
Epilepsy is a chronic disorder of brain, whose pathogenesis is closely related to ion channel, heredity, neurotransmit-ters, cytokine, immunity and neuroglia cells, etc. Traditional Chinese medicines ( TCMs) have made achievements in the treatment of epilepsy in recent years. The paper systematically reviewed the research situations of TCM and the combination of TCM and western medicines for the prevention and therapy of epilepsy in recent ten years. The results indicated that TCMs showed notable curative effect on epilepsy, and the pathogenesis was closely related to neuroprotection, neurotransmitters, ion channel, and relevant gene regulation, etc. The combination of TCM and western medicines can enhance the efficacy and reduce the toxicity in the treatment of epilepsy.
6.Effect of Mingjing decoction with argon laser on plasma VEGF in patients with diabetic retinopathy
International Eye Science 2016;16(7):1249-1252
AIM: To investigate the effect and mechanism of Mingjing decoction combining with argon laser on the levels of plasma vascular endothelial growth factor (VEGF) in patients with diabetic retinopathy(DR).
METHODS:The 66 patients(118 eyes)with DR at Ⅲ ~ Ⅴstage were randomly divided into two groups (treatment group and control group). The control group (33 patients with 56 eyes ) was treated with argon laser, and the treatment group (33 patients with 62 eyes) was treated with mingjing decoction combining with argon laser, and a blank group(30 eyes) was set up. The levels of plasma VEGF were detected by enzyme linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). The results of best corrected visual acuity and fundus fluorescein angiography(FFA) were analyzed, as well as detected glycosylated hemoglobin ( HbA1c), blood coagulation function and the function of liver and kidney.
RESULTS: Patients with DR had significantly risen plasma VEGF before treatment when compared with blank control group ( P < 0. 05 ). After 3mo of combined treatment, the levels of plasma VEGF significantly reduced and HbA1c decreased in patients treated with mingjing decoction and argon laser, there were statistically significant difference compared to control group ( P < 0. 05 ). In the treatment group, the best corrected visual acuity and FFA were significantly improved in patients treated with mingjing decoction combining with argon laser compared to patients treated with argon laser alone after 3mo of combined treatment. CONCLUSION: Mingjing decoction combining with argon laser for DR can effectively reduce the level of plasma VEGF, stabilize blood sugar levels, improve the function of retina, and delay DR progresses.
7.Briefly on China Ancient Female Physicians and Their Mode of Becoming a Useful Person
Tingxiu LIN ; Ming ZHU ;
China Journal of Traditional Chinese Medicine and Pharmacy 2005;0(04):-
Throughout history, there are less female physicians in the society of ancient China. Why? How to interpret this phenomenon? However, the research concerned in this field is rather limited. Thus the purpose of this research was aimed at paraphrasing the doubtful phenomenon above.Based upon this idea,we had originally selected some representative female physicians to make analyses and investigation. The results indicated that the tradition concept-which man is dominating in the society may be the main reason to account for this social phenomenon. It was related as well to the education, the social consensus, the value judgment and the vocationally characteristic towards women. These may lead to numerous barriers for women to become real doctors. It seems that the finding in this research could provide more background information for the occupation of female. It may also stimulate the women to be more independent in the modern China.
8.DETERMINATION OF EMODIN CONTENT IN QINGNINGWAN BY HPLC
Traditional Chinese Drug Research & Clinical Pharmacology 1993;0(04):-
An accurate method for measuring Emodin content in a Chinese patent drug Qingningwan was developed by HPLC with external standard of Emodin. Calibration curve was linear in the range of 14.8-148?g /ml and mean recovery rate of Emodin was 98.93%. Coefficient of variation was 1.20%(n=5). These indicate that HPLC is an advanced, accurate and feasible method in quality control of Qingningwan.
9.Human peripheral blood lymphocytes causing destruction of sheep erythrocytes
Chinese Journal of Pathophysiology 1986;0(01):-
Human peripheral blood lymphocytes and sheep red blood cells(SRBC)were incubated together in Hanks solution containing Ca~(2+) and Mg~(2+) ion, causing SRBC destruction and release of hemoglobin, 500%hemolysis value was found to 6.1921?0.06. The destruction of SRBC by lymphocytes was inhibited by trypsinase, its 50% hemolysis value became 0.0348?0.03 (P
10.Effects of Traditional Chinese Herbs, Wen Yang Huo Xue Decoction and Salvia Miltiorrhiza, on Animal Model of Sclerotic Skin
Chinese Journal of Dermatology 2003;0(07):-
Objectives To study the effects of traditional Chinese herbs, Wen Yang Huo Xue Decoction (herbs of removing blood-stasis and warming the kidney-yang) and Salvia miltiorrhiza, on the animal model of sclerotic skin. Methods A mouse model for sclerotic skin was established in C3H/He mice by repeated local injections of bleomycin for 3 weeks. Wen Yang Huo Xue Decoction was given orally, and Salvia miltiorrhiza orally or intravenously, to the mouse model. The administrations started either simultaneously or after 3 weeks' injections of bleomycin. Mouse skins and lungs were examined histopathogically, and sera were tested for autoantibodies. Results The administrations of herbs, started either at the beginning or at the time sclerosis was induced, caused no significant alleviation of dermal sclerosis by the end of 5 weeks' treatment. After 8 weeks' administrations of herbs, the dermal thickness reduced and collagen histochemical index decreased significantly, especially in group Wen Yang Huo Xue Decoction was given orally and in group Salvia miltiorrhiza was given intravenously at early stage (P
