Objective To investigate the bid gene expression and cell death in brain after cerebral hypoxia-ischemia in neonatal rats and the effects of dexamethasone(DEX)on bid gene expression,so as to elucidate the possible mechanism of the neuroprotective effect of DEX pretreatment on rats following cerebral hypoxia-ischemia.Methods Twenty-four SD neonatal rats were divided randomly into hypoxia-ischemia brain damage(HIBD),normal,dexamethasone-pretreated and 9 g/L NaCl(NS)control group.The animal models of HIBD were made.Total RNA from ipsilateral cerebral hemisphere was extracted.Reverse transcription polymerase chain reaction(RT-PCR)was used to evaluate the level of bid gene expression after hypoxia-ischemia.Cerebral apoptosis was determined by terminal-deoxynucleotidy transferase mediated d-UTP nick end labeling(TUNEL).Results The levels of bid mRNA were higher in HIBD rats than those in normal rats.The number of positive apoptosis cells significantly increased in HIBD group(P

Objective To measure the temperature sensation threshold of trunk skin in healthy adults. Methods The threshold of cold sensation, warm sensation, cold pain sensation and heat pain sensation of trunk skin key points (T3, T7 and T11) were measured with Thermal Sensory Analyzer in 123 healthy adults. Results The thresholds of cold, warm, cold pain and heat pain sensations were obtained. The standard deviation of cold and warm threshold was less than that of heat pain. The range of cold sensation threshold was the largest. The heat pain sensation threshold increased with segmental declining and the sensation threshold increased with age. Conclusion Normal reference value should be established variously with the segment and age. The threshold of cold, warm varies less, while the threshold of cold pain and heat pain varies too much.

Objective To compare the efficacy after conventional radiotherapy and late course accelerated fractionation radiotherapy for nasopharyngeal carcinoma (NPC).Methods A total of 200 NPC patients were enrolled and randomly assigned to conventional radiotherapy (CF) group with 99 cases or late course accelerated fractionation radiotherapy (LCAF) group with 101 cases,who received irradiation to 60Co γ or 6 MV X-rays.In the CF group,the total dose of nasopharynx was 70 Gy/35 fractions at 2 Gy daily.In the LCAF group,for the first two-thirds of the treatment,two daily fractions of 1.2 Gy were given to the primary lesion and the total dose was 48 Gy/40 fractions.For the last one third of the treatment,the dose per fraction was increased to 1.5 Gy and the total dose was 30 Gy/20 fractions.Results There were 25,16,25 in CF group and 16,13,18 patients in LCAF group who had recurrence of nasophaynx,cervical lymph nodes,and distant metastasis,respectively.The 5-year nasopharyngeal control and overall survival rates was 75.9％ and 87.6％ in CFgroup (x2 =4.066,P＜0.05),58.0％ and 74.1％(x2 =5.076,P ＜ 0.05) in LCAF group,respectively.Cervical lymph nodes local rates and distant metastasesfree rates at 5 years were 8 1.5％ and 90.0％ in CF group (P ＞ 0.05),74.1％ and 83.3％ (P ＞ 0.05) in LCAF group,respectively.Conclusions Compared with CF,LCAF can improve nasopharyngeal control and overall survival rates,but there are no significant difference in the recurrence rates of cervical lymph nodes and distant metastasis.

Objective：To study the toxicity mechanism(s) of ifosfamide(Ifo) in suspending cultured rat hepatocytes.Methods：Hepatocytes of adult rat were isolated using two-step perfusion method and cultured suspendingly. Cell viability,intracellular enzyme leakage, contents of sulfhydryl groups and MDA contents of hepatocytes were examined 3 hours after ifosfamide was administered at 5,10,20 mmol/L. Surface and ultrastructure of hepatocytes were also observed. Results：Cell viability and TSH,NPSH,PSH contents of hepatocytes significantly declined, and LDH,AST activities in media increased due to the leakage of intracellular enzymes. The decrease in PSH content was ascribed to depletion of TSH. The higher the dose was, the more serious these changes became. However, MDA contents of the hepatocytes were not found increased at any ifo dose groups. In pathological examination, “bulla" formation was found on the surface of the hepatocytes, deformation，swelling even vacuolation of mitochondria and dilation of rough，smooth endoplasmic reticulum were also observed. Conclusions：Ifo has toxic effect on suspending cultured rat hepatocytes. The decrease in sulfhydryl groups contributes to the hepatotoxicity induced by Ifo.

Objective To analyze the physical agent detection ability of occupational health technical service institutions in Methods Guangdong Province. A total of 92 institutions in Guangdong Province that participated in the inter laboratory comparison of physical agents organized in 2020 were taken as the research subjects using purposive sampling method. The ， Results certified physical factor items number of measuring instruments and measurement standards were investigated. The ， ， certification and accreditation project on physical agents in 92 institutions with certification and accreditation rate >80.0% ， ， ， - were noise high temperature ultraviolet radiation hand transmitted vibration and illumination. Objective In order to study the epidemiology of Borna disease virus (BDV) in Zunyi region and its surrounding regions in Guizhou province. Methods p24 fragment of BDV fragments in peripheral blood mononuclear cells (PBMC) from 43 patients with viral encephalitis (VE), 9 cases with multiple sclerosis (MS), 7 cases with Guillain-Barre syndrome (GBS), 5 cases with Parkinson disease (PD), 98 healthy donors and 300 goats were examined by quantitative fluorescence nested reverse transcriptase polymerase chain reaction (PCR). Gene sequence and amino acid sequence were analyzed for positive products. Results The positive rate of BDV p24 fragment in PBMC from VE (13.95 %) and MS (22.22 %) were significantly higher than in healthy donors (0 %, P<0.05). The positive rate of BDV p24 fragment in PBMC from goats was 0.67 %, without statistical difference when compared with healthy donors (P>0.05). Guillain-Barre syndrome and Parkinson disease( PD)were tested negative. The sequence of the BDV p24 fragment from the patients with VE was in conformity with that of the MS. Results presented that 3 situs consistency silent mutation when compared with strain V and its homogeneity was 96.51%. 2 situs consistency silent mutation compared with BDV/MDCK and its homogeneity was 97.67%. 2 situs consistency silent mutation when compared with C6BV and its homogeneity was 97.67 %. Sequences of the BDV p24 fragment from the goats presented 3 situs consistency silent mutation when compared with strain V and its homogeneity was 96.51%. 3 situs consistency silent mutation when compared with BDV/MDCK and its homogeneity was 96.51%. 3 situs consistency silent mutation when compared with C6BV and its homogeneity was 96.51%. However, there were no changes of encoding amino acids in all BDV p24 fragments from neuropsychiatric disorders. Conclusion Our data indicated that the BDV infection was presented in patients with VE, MS and goats from Zunyi region and its surrounding regions of Guizhou province. BDV might play a potential role in the development of VE, MS as well as having correlations with animals.
