Familial non-medullary thyroid carcinoma (FNMTC) is de fi ned as the presence of two or more affected fi rst-degree relatives with non-medullary thyroid cancers without other known familial syndromes. FNMTC is one of the most inheritable forms of all cancers, with a high risk of a first-degree relative developing the disease. Compared with sporadic non-medullary thyroid carcinoma (NMTC), FNMTC presents at a younger age and is associated with a higher incidence of multifocal disease and metastasis. This in-creased aggressiveness has been hypothesized to translate into higher recurrence rates and decreased survival of patients with FNMTC. The genes involved in the pathogenesis of FNMTC are yet to be elucidated, although some recent studies identified several predisposi-tion loci with a high degree of genetic heterogeneity. Since 2005, next-generation sequencing (NGS) technologies have been developing as rapid, high-throughput, and cost-effective approaches to fulfill medical sciences and research demands. With the use of NGS, the un-derlying causative genes can be directly distinguished via systematic filtering, through which the identified gene variants are verified for novelty and functionality.

Objective To explore the change rule and clinical application value of hemorheologic indexes in patients with acute intracerebral hemorrhage ( ICH) . Methods The hemorheology indexes of 100 acute ICH patients ( ICH group) were detected within 24 h, and compared with 30 normal controls ( normal control group) . The effect of hemorheology index on history of hypertension, hemorrhage quantity and the hemorrhage location were analyzed. Results Compared with those in normal control group, the indexes of whole blood viscosity, plasma viscosity and erythrocyte sedimentation rate were significantly increased and erythrocyte aggregation index, erythrocyte deformability index and hematocrit were significantly decreased in acute stage ( all P< 0. 01 ) . Blood rheology indexes were changed significantly in hypertensive cerebral hemorrhage group (all P<0. 01), the whole blood viscosity (200 s-1 and 50 s-1 ) , erythrocyte aggregation index, hematocrit and erythrocyte sedimentation rate in non-hypertensive cerebral hemorrhage group were changed significantly ( P< 0. 05 - 0. 01 ). Compared with normal the non-hypertensive cerebral hemorrhage group, the whole blood rheology indexes except erythroate sedicmnt ation rate significantly erythrocyte sedimentation rate were significantly changed ( P< 0. 05 ) . As the hemorrhage quantity increased in each groups, the whole blood viscosity ( 200 s-1 and 50 s-1 ) and plasma viscosity of cerebral hemorrhage patients were significantly increased, otherwise the erythrocyte aggregation index was significantly decreased (P<0. 05-0. 01). There were statistical differences compared the indexes of whole blood viscosity (200 s-1 and 1 s-1 ) , plasma viscosity, erythrocyte aggregation index and erythrocyte sedimentation rate among each groups of different hemorrhage locations in acute ICH patients (all P<0. 05). Conclusions The blood of acute ICH patients shows a state of concentrated, sticky, aggregation and coagulation that severely affects the prognosis. The patients with hypertension and greater hematoma changed obviously, different hemorrhage location affected differently.

Objective To explore the protective effect and the mechanism of fastigial nucleus electric stimulation on brain of rats with hypoxic-ischemic brain damage(HIBD).Methods Ninety rats were randomly divided into 3 groups:sham operated group(n=30),model group(n=30)and electric stimulation group(n=30),every group was divided into group A(n=10),group B(n=10)and group C(n=10)again.The models of perinatal HIBD rats were prepared by ligation of left common carotid artery with a temporary systemic hypoxia(N2O2 was 928)for 2 hours.Electric stimulation group was used electric stimulation for 20 minutes,2 times everyday after surgery.The sham operated group and model group was not used electric stimulation but catched to fix in corresponding period.All of the group A would be injected bromodeoxyuridine(BrdU)to enterocoelia before 8 hours when the rats would be killed and the group B would be not injected it.The rats of the group A and B would be killed and got the brain tissue after cardiac perfusion 7 days later,then,consecutively coronal slice.The changes of BrdU and nestin levels in brain were observed by immunohistochemistry staining assay.And the study and memory ability of all the group C would be tested by maze test after 28 days.The brain tissue would be tested by hematoxylin and eosin stain at the same time.All of the data would be described and analyzed by SPSS 13.0.More than a few means would be compared by One-Way analysis of variance and the t-test between 2 groups would be used.Results The BrdU and nestin levels of the model group were lower than the sham operated group(Pa

Recent years, chemical constituents from spice volatile oils have gained worldwide concern owing to its multiple pharmacological effects and safety for using as the natural antibacterial agents. However, their poor dissolution, strong volatility, serious irritation, weak stability, easy oxidation and low bioavailability characteristics are the major obstacle in the preparation of effective oral formulation and practical application. Therefore, there is an urgent need to select a novel carrier system that can delivery the chemical constituents from spice volatile oils more efficiently with improving their stability as well as alleviating the irritation, and develop the functional food, health products and even medicine for exerting their pharmacological effects, which also is the focus and nodus of the research on their application. This review presents recent systematic studies on their novel carrier systems, including cyclodextrin inclusion complex, liposomes, nanoemulsions, nanoparticles, solid dispersion and so on, and summarizes the characteristics, application range and problems of each novel carrier systems, in order to provide some beneficial thoughts in further developing new products of chemical constituents from spice volatile oils.

Objective To explore the effect of iron chelators on labile iron pool and expression of apoptosis associated genes in cells of K562, an erythroleukemia cell line.Methods K562 cells were incubated at 37 ℃ in RPMI 1640 containing 10% heat-inactived fetal bovine serum in an saturated humidity and 5% CO_2 incubator. K562 cells were incubated with different concentrations of desferro-(xamine(DFO)). The study groups were divided as following: DFO group, iron+DFO group and the control group. Objective To study the expression of KAI1 and CD40 in gastric cancer and their correlation with clinicopathologic features and prognosis.Methods The expression of KAI1 and CD40 of 64 gastric cancer tissues was examinated by S-P immunohistochemieal methods.Results The overall positive rate of KAI1 was 22% in gastric cancer.Expression of KAI1 was positively related to the degree of tumor differentiation,it was negatively related to invasion depth and lymph node metastasis and the tumor clinical stage.The 5-year survival rate of cases with positive expression of KAII was significantly higher than that of cases with negative expression(X~2=42.426,P=0.000).The expression rate of CD40 in gastric cancer tissue was 34%.The expression of CD40 was significantly correlated with metastasis and clinical stage of gastric cancer.The 5-year survival rate of cases with positive expression of CD40 was significantly lower than that of cases with negative expression(X~2=4.841,P=0.028).There is no relationship between KAI1 and CD40 expression in gastric cancer.Conclusion KAI1 is associated with gastric cancer differentiation,invasion and metastasis.CD40 status helps to evaluate metastasis,and predict prognosis of gastric cancer.
