Purpose To explore the expression and clinical significance of CD47 in triple negative breast carcinoma (TNBC),and to analyze the relationship between CD47 expression and clinicopathologic features. Methods Immunohistochemical of Bond Polymer Refine Detection staining was performed on tissue array. It contains 185 cases of TNBC and 35 cases of non triple negative breast carcinoma (NTNBC).Then we observed the expression of CD47 in TNBC,and analyzed the relationship between the expression of CD47 and various clinical pathological characteristics. Results The expression of CD47 in tumor cells of TNBC was higher than that in NTNBC,and the difference was statistically significant (P < 0.05).The CD47 expression rate in TNBC tumors was 52.3%.It was closely related to clinical stage (P < 0.05),lymph node metastasis and distant metastasis (P < 0.05) and vascular invasion (P < 0.05).Conclusion The expression of CD47 is correlated with the clinical stage, lymph node metastasis, distant metastasis and vascular invasion of TNBC.CD47 can be used as a prognostic indicator and a potential target for immune therapy.

AIM To investigate the effect of fenofibrate and simvastatin on the serum free fatty acids of alcoholic fatty liver in rats. METHODS The rat model of alcoholic fatty liver was reproduced by chronic ethanol ingestion plus olive oil diet. The model rats were divided into three groups as follows: finofibrate treatment group(finofibrate 80 mg?kg -1 po, once a day),simvastatin treatment group (simvastatin 4 mg?kg -1 po, once a day)and control group without either above-mentioned treatment. Experimental rats were treated for four weeks and then sacrificed for blood sampling. Serum free fatty acids were analyzed by gas chromatography. RESULTS Fenofibrate significantly ameliorated the decrease in polyunsaturated fatty acids induced by ethanol [oleic acid:(38.212?7.788) ?g?L -1 vs (31.620?6.142) ?g?L -1,linoleic acid:(37.269?8.065) ?g?L -1 vs (30.254?9.063) ?g?L -1,arachidonic acid:(11.646?2.601) ?g?L -1 vs (9.012?1.236) ?g?L -1] accompanied by the improvement of the fat infiltration of the liver, but demonstrated no effect on the increase in serum saturated fatty acids by ethanol. In the contrast, simvastatin can aggravate the decrease in polyunsatrurated fatty acids and significantly increase the levels of satrurated fatty acids in serum induced by ethanol along with the pathological aggravation of alcoholic fatty liver. CONCLUSION The results of present study revealed that fenofibrate and simvastatin exerted different effect on the serum free fatty acids of alcoholic fatty liver. Polyunsatrurated fatty acids in the serum play an important role in the pathogenesis and treatment response of alcoholic fatty liver.

OBJECTIVETo compare the initial penetration depth of nickel-titanium (NiTi) and stainless-steel (SS) spreader during lateral compaction and the quality of the seal in curved canals.
METHODSForty extracted mandibular premolars with a single curved canal were divided into two groups: no more than 20 degrees and more than 20 degrees based on degree of curvature. All canals were instrumented using a rotary instrumentation technique. NiTi and SS spreaders were used to obturate the canals containing a master cone while the penetration depths were measured. Horizontal sections were cut in 2 and 4 mm from the apex and photographed under stereomicroscope. The percentage of gutta-percha-filled are (PGP) of cross-sections was measured using an image analysis program.
RESULTSIn canals of more than 20 degrees, the penetration depths and PGP of 2 mm from the apex of NiTi spreaders were higher than SS spreader. In canals of no more than 20 degrees, there were no significant difference between them (P > 0.05). At 4 mm from the apex, there was no significant difference between two groups.
CONCLUSIONNiTi spreaders has a higher penetrated depth and obturation density than SS spreaders in severed curved canals.

Objective To report a case of foot hyalohyphomycosis due to Fusarium subglutinans. Methods Medical history was collected and physical examination performed for this patient.Biopsy samples were obtained from the inner side of right ankle of this patient and subjected to pathological examination. Discharge was collected from the lesions for direct microscopic examination and culture. Results A 72-year-old woman presented with an ulcer on the right foot for 3 years.Physical examination disclosed an ulcer, measuring 3 cm x 1.5 cm,with a moist surface and obvious tenderness,at the inner side of the right ankle.Proliferation of dusky-red granulomatous tissue was observed at the base of the ulcer.Pathological examination revealed necrotic granulomatous tissue and slender, septate and hyaline hypha-like structure in the superficial dermis with scattered infiltration of inflammatory cells.PAS staining showed sausage-like hypha and scattered orbicular-ovate spores.Microscopic examination of lesional discharge exhibited septate, branching and hyaline hypha. The isolated fungus was identified as Fusarium subglutinans by culture, and appeared to be highly sensitive to terbinafine, nystatin and amphotericin B.The lesion completely healed after 2 months of treatment with oral terbinafine (0.25 g,twice a day). Conclusions This is a case of foot hyalohyphomycosis due to Fusarium subglutinans, and terbinafine is effective for this condition.

In this study, the ITS2 sequence was used to identify Pinelliae Rhizoma and its adulterants to ensure its market circulation, clinical effect and safety. All genomic DNA from 59 samples were extracted successfully. The Kimura 2-Parameter (K2P) distances and NJ tree were calculated using software MEGA 6.0. The length of the ITS2 sequence of Pinelliae Rhizoma was 251 bp. The intraspecific genetic distance was smaller than the interspecific ones; The NJ tree indicated that Pinelliae Rhizoma distinguished from its adulterants obviously. The results showed that the ITS2 sequence can be used to distinguish Pinelliae Rhizoma from its adulterants accurately and stably.
