Objective To observe the effect of cervical plexus block combined with cervical vertebra traction treatment of cervical spondylosis of nerve root type .Methods 60 cases of nerve root type cervical spondylosis were divided into two groups by coin tossing:group A(n=32) cervical plexus block combined with cervical traction thera-py, group B( n=28) treated by cervical traction therapy ,according to the severity of pain compared two groups of treatment effect.Results after treatment,20d group 10d,30d,90d pain scores were (4.61 ±0.70)%,(3.71 ± 0.57)%,(3.30 ±0.65)%,(4.44 ±1.04)%,group B respectively (5.88 ±1.47)%,(5.61 ±1.35)%,(4.83 ± 0.86)%,(5.50 ±0.87)%,the difference between two groups was statistically significant (t=5.85,1.06,1.30, 7.51,all P<0.01).Conclusion The cervical plexus block combined with cervical traction for treatment of nerve root type of cervical spondylosis is better than the routine treatment of cervical traction ,which is suitable for promotion of primary health care units .

[Summary] Diabetic nephropathy is one of the major chronic microvascular complications of diabetes ,which is the leading cause of end‐stage renal disease ,as well as the main cause of death in diabetic patients. Glomerular endothelial cell is an important component of the glomerular filtration barrier ,which is directly related to the materials of circulation ,and it can be easily damaged by glucose ,lipid and inflammatory factors. Under the hyperglycemia ,the PKC pathway ,the polyol pathway and oxidative stress were activated ,producing an excess of advanced glycation end products and reactive oxygen species ,which damage the endothelial nitric oxide synthase ,reduce the generation of nitric oxide ,while produce a large number of Ang Ⅱ. Ang Ⅱ damage the endothelial cell. In addition ,there are crosstalk between glomerular endothelial cells and endothelial cells ,which also cause endothelial cell injury. Here ,we reviewed the role of endothelial cell injury in the pathogenesis of diabetic nephropathy.

Objective To study the effect of lower limb muscle strength on balance.Methods One hun- dred eighty elderly subjects were divided into six groups by sex and muscle strength level.There were low,moderate and high muscle strength groups for males and females.The static standing balance of these subjects was performed u- sing a PH-A computerized stabilometer with their eyes open and closed.Sway index,covered area,rectangle-area, length and length/area of the destabilizing locui were assessed.Results When standing with the eyes either open or closed,sagittal and lateral sway index,covered area and rectangle-area were significantly larger in the lowest mus- cle strength groups when compared with the others.Length/area was also significantly less.There was no significant difference between the moderate muscle strength group and the highest strength group.Conclusion Lower limb strength affects balance.

OBJECTIVE: To observe the expression of discs large homolog 4 (DLG4) protein in hippocampus, amygdala and frontal cortex of rats and evaluate postsynaptic density in heroin dependence. METHODS: The rat heroin dependent model was established by increasing intraperitoneal injection of heroin. DLG4 proteins in hippocampus, amygdala and frontal cortex of heroin dependent 9, 18, 36 days rats were detected with immunohistochemical staining and compared with that in the control group. RESULTS: DLG4 proteins in hippocampus, amygdala and frontal cortex were gradually reduced with extension of heroin dependent time. CONCLUSION Heroin dependence can affect postsynaptic density of hippocampus, amygdala and frontal cortex. The changes become more apparent with extension of heroin dependence time.

AIM:To observe the efficacy of intravitreal conbercept injection for chronic central serous chorioretinopathy (CSC).METHODS: Nine eyes of 9 patients diagnosed as chronic CSC between October 2015 to May 2016 were treated with an intravitreal injection of conbercept (0.5mg/0.05mL) (six patients were given the same does of intravitreal injection again at 1mo after the first injection).Follow-up observation was at 1, 2, and 6mo after injection.Observed indicators included best-corrected visual acuity (BCVA), intraocular pressure, optical coherence tomography (OCT), fundus fluorescein angiography (FFA), choroidal indocyanine green angiography (ICGA), macular fovea thickness (CMT), subfoveal choroidal thickness (SFCT).RESULTS:Seven of the 9 patients responded significantly to the drug, while 2 patients had no response.The CMT was 373.12±72.43μm at baseline, which decreased significantly to 332.05±67.13μm, 282.24±62.30μm and 225.56±71.08μm at 1, 2 and 6mo after the intravitreal injection.The mean thickness of SFCT was 422.11±64.82μm before treatment.The choroidal thickness of non-responsive patients before treatment was below average, respectively 353μm and 365μm.The SFCT of 1, 2, and 6mo after treatment was 391.45±75.24μm, 365.53±63.07μm, 355.40±66.65μm.Before treatment and 1mo after, there was no significant difference (P=0.074), but there was statistically significant (P<0.01) between those of before and 2mo and 6mo after.The mean BCVA of the prior treatment was 0.53±0.32, the after treatment was 0.65±0.20, there was no different between the two(P>0.05).CONCLUSION: Intravitreal conbercept injection in chronic CSC may have some effect in accelerating subertinal fluid resolution and decreasing the CMT.The SFCT within 6mo after treatment was significantly lower than pretreatment.The SFCT may be an indicator of whether patients respond.

Through scale-up cultivation of Eriobotrya japonica suspension cells using WAVE bioreactor, the cell growth and ursolic acid (UA) accumulation were studied. The comparison test was carried out in the flask and the reactor with cell dry weight (DW) and UA content as evaluation indexes. The culture medium, DW and UA content were compared in 1 L and 5 L working volumes of bioreactor. The orthogonal test with main actors of inoculation amount, speed and angle of rotation was developed to find the optimal combination, in 1 L working volume of bioreactor. DW of the cell growth and the UA content in bioreactor were higher than those of the shaker by 105.5% and 27.65% respectively. In bioreactor, the dynamic changes of elements in the fluid culture, the dry weight of the cell growth and the UA content in 1 L and 5 L working volumes were similar. Inoculation of 80 g, rotational speed of 26 r · min(-1), and angle of 6 ° was the optimal combination, and the cell biomass of 19.01 g · L(-1) and the UA content of 27.750 mg · g(-1) were achieved after 100 h cultivation in 1 L working volume of bioreactor. WAVE Bioreactor is more suitable than flasks for the E. japonica cell suspension culture, and culture parameters can be achieved from 1 L to 5 L amplification.

Objective To study the susceptible factors of atherosclerotic stenosis before the coronary artery myocardial bridges.Methods The data from 88 myocardial bridge cases which received coronary angiography were statistically analyzed.Sixty-seven cages which suffered from atherosclerofic stenesis in proximal of the myocardial bridges were recruited into group A,and the other 21 cases which suffered no atherosclerotic stenosis or from atherosclerotic stenosis in distal of the myocardial bridges were mcmited into group B.Difference of the age,gender,length of myocardial bridge,systolic blood pressure (SBP),diastolic blood pressure (DBP),pulse pressure (PP),the oppression degree of myocardial bridge (Nobel classification),fasting plasma glucose (FPG),and blood fat,and so on,in two groups,were observed and statistically analyzed.Results The difference of the Nobel classification,SBP and PP in two groups showed a statistical significance (P＜0.05).While the difference of the age,gender,length of myocardial bridge,DBP,FPG,total cholesterol,low-density hpoprotein in two groups showed no statistical significance (P＞0.05).A further regression analysis suggested that Nobel classification and PP had a correlation with the comphcation of stonosis before the myocardial bridge (r=3.0569,0.9740,P＜0.05).Conclusions High blood pressure cases are liable to suffer from myocardial bridge.Myocardial bridges themselves trend to promote or accelerate the atherosclerotic stenosis of the coronary arteries before.them.The oppression degree of myocardial bridge and PP has a correlation with the complication of stenosis before the myocardial bridge,while has no correlations with age,gender,bloodfat,SBP,DBP,FPG,length of myocardial bridge,and so on.

Objective To investigate the value of two-dimensional speckle tracking imaging (STI) in assessing regional myocardial dysfunction and myocardial fibrosis in a mouse model of myocardial infarction.Methods Twenty C57/B6 mice were randomly divided into two groups:myocardial infarction (MI) group (n =10) and sham-operation (SO) group (n =10).Echocardiography was performed four weeks after surgery.High frame rate two dimensional images were recorded in the left ventricular short axis views at the papillary muscle level and analysised at EchoPac workstation.Peak radical strain (PRS) and peak radical strain rate (PRSR) of each segment were measured at systolic period.Percent segmental fibrosis (PSF) was assessed from histological left ventricular cross sections stained by Masson trichrome.Results Compared with SO group,PRS and PRSR decreased significantly in all segments of MI group (P ＜ 0.01),especially in anterosepetal,anterior and lateral segments (P ＜0.05).PSF of anterosepetal,anterior,lateral and posterior segments in MI group increased significantly than those in SO group(P ＜0.01),and were negatively correlated with PRS and PRSR of these segments(r =-0.88,P ＜0.001 ; r =-0.77,P ＜0.001).Conclusions STI could accurately quantify regional myocardial function in a mouse model of myocardial infarction.Segmental radial strain and strain rate measured by STI were significantly correlated with PSF,which can be a non-invasive tool for monitoring myocardial fibrosis after myocardial infarction.

Objective To explore the incidence of post-transplant diabetes mellitus (PTDM) by means of fasting plasma glucose (FPG) and other associated risk factors in patients surviving for more than 1 year after renal transplantation.Methods A total of 428 non-diabetic patients,who underwent kidney transplantation from 1 January,1993 to 31 December,2008,were followed up in order to ascertain the prevalence of PTDM after transplantation and other associated risk factors by means of FPG.Results Of the 428 patients,87 developed PTDM (20.3％) within a mean follow-up of (5.65 ± 3.68) years after renal transplantation.The onset of PTDM occurred in 57 patients (65.5％ of total PTDM) primarily within the first year after transplantation.Univariate analysis showed that older age,body mass index (BMI),smoking history,family history of diabetes mellitus,deceased donor transplantation,hepatitis C virus infection,cytomegalovirus infection,FPG before transplantation as well as 1 week after transplantation,total cholesterol and triglyceride before transplantation,switching from cyclosporine to tacrolimus(FK506),and peak plasma concentration of cyclosporine in the first 6 and 12 months were associated with the onset of PTDM.The prevalence of PTDM was markedly elevated in the group who has cyclosporine converted to FK506 (P＜0.05),but not in the group with cyclosporine converted to rapamycin.By multivariate analysis,FPG before transplantation,age,BMI,and deceased donor transplantation were independently associated with the onset of PTDM.Conclusions There is high incidence of PTDM in patients following renal transplantation; and early diagnosis,treatment as well as prevention are mandatory.
