The acute phase of ischemic stroke patients are often treated with both Chinese patent medicine:and western medicine therapies in clinical practice. This research included 27,678 cases of the acute phase of ischemic stroke came from 14 3A level hospitals. We collected data from patients with ischemic stroke who used both Chinese patent medicine and western medicine and were hopitalized within 14 days from hospital information system (HIS). Constructing complex network of Chinese patent medicine and western medicine were found to show scale-free network. Hierarchical structure of the core algorithm was used to analyze the characteristics of combined core Chinese patent medicine and western medicine in admission condition of "acute", "critically", and "general" of ischemic stroke acute phase patient within one day, 2-3 days, 4-7 days and 8-14 days. We found that the core Chinese patent medicine mainly used for activate blood and resolve stasis medicine, and phlegm eliminating brain refreshing medicine in all kinds of patients, but the phlegm eliminating brain refreshing medicine were used to reduce with time elapsing. The core western medicine mainly used for anti-platelet medicine, improve circulation medicine, neuroprotective medicine, anticoagulants medicine and dehydration medicine. The dehydration medicine as the core western medicine for critically patients within 14 days, but the patients for general admission as core western medicine within 3 days. The neuroprotective medicine was used to decreases after 7 days in hospital. Combination of Chinese patent medicine and western medicine were mainly for neuroprotective medicine + activate blood and resolve stasis medicine, and anti-platelet medicine + activate blood and resolve stasis medicine, and improve circulation medicine + activate blood and resolve stasis medicine. The phlegm eliminating brain refreshing medicine was mainly combined with neuroprotective medicine by urgent and general admission condition patients, and it was more combined with dehydration medicine by critically admission condition patients. This research found that the dynamic characteristics for the combination of Chinese patent medicine and western medicine of acute phase of ischemic stroke patients by big data analytics and complex networks modeling, and provide basis for acute phase of ischemic stroke patients, it provide basis for ischemic stroke treatment strategy making.

Objective To study the risk factors related to recurrence of gastrointestinal stromal tumor (GIST) after discontinuing postoperative adjuvant imatinib mesylate (IM) treatment. Methods We retrospectively analyzed our clinical database of 138 GIST patients who received radical resection and subsequent IM adjuvant treatment at the Renji Hospital,Shanghai Jiaotong University School of Medicine between January 2006 and January 2014.Results For the entire Multivariate analysis study group, the overall 5-year recurrent free survival (RFS) rate was 54.5%.There were two tumor characteristics which were independent prognostic factors of GIST treated by postoperative IM:Ki67 index (P =0.005),and serosal invasion (P =0.026).The accuracy of comprehensive evaluation based on the two weighted variables was better than NIH staging criteria(AUC:0.714 vs.0.631).Furthermore,two risk groups were created according to the risk model with 5-year RFS of 81.3% and 31.1% as low-risk and high-risk groups, respectively (P <0.05).Conclusions For patients with intermediate or high risk in NIH classification,if there was tumor serosal invasion,or if there was no local invasion but Ki67 index > 8%,extended continuous IM adjuvant treatment should be recommended after the primary tumor was radically resected.

Objective To evaluate the effect of digital subtraction angiography and transcatheter embolization for gastrointestinal hemorrhage. Methods Twenty patients with gastrointestinal hemorrhage received celiac arteries, superior mesenteric arteries and inferior mesenteric arteries angiography. Superselective angiography were performed when the arteries were suspicious by clinic or angiogrraphy.Ten patients with definite diagnosis and manifestation of hemorrhagic arteries by angiography were embolized after superseleetive catheterization with gelfoam particles, gelfoam particles and coils, polyvinyl alcohol particles. Results The positive signs were observed in 13 cases. The DSA features including contrast medium accumulation in the gastrointestinal tract outside vascular, aneurysm, tumorous vascularization and staining, artery affect and local vasospasm. The bleedings were stopped immediately in 8 patients. No rebleeding and intestinal ischaemia or necrosis were observed in 30 days. One patient died in the second day after embolization from multiple organ failure.Rebleeding occurred 3 days after embolization in another patient, and was recovered after surgical operation. Conclusion DSA is more effective for the diagnosis of gastrointestinal vascular malformation and tumors complicating acute bleeding.Transcatheter embolization is effective and safe to control the hemorrhage.
