Objective To analyze the physical agent detection ability of occupational health technical service institutions in Methods Guangdong Province. A total of 92 institutions in Guangdong Province that participated in the inter laboratory comparison of physical agents organized in 2020 were taken as the research subjects using purposive sampling method. The ， Results certified physical factor items number of measuring instruments and measurement standards were investigated. The ， ， certification and accreditation project on physical agents in 92 institutions with certification and accreditation rate >80.0% ， ， ， - were noise high temperature ultraviolet radiation hand transmitted vibration and illumination. The certification approval rates ， ， ， ， of power frequency magnetic field 1 Hz to 100 kHz electric field 1 Hz to 100 kHz magnetic field laser radiation physical ， - < （ ） labor intensity and whole body vibration were 60.0%. The certification and accreditation rate of noise 98.9% was the ， （ ） （P< ） ， highest and that of the physical labor intensity 3.3% was the lowest 0.01 . As for the number of measuring instruments （ ） the number of noise measuring instruments accounted for the highest proportion 52.6% in 92 institutions. Among the physical agents the certification and accreditation ， rate of noise is the highest and the number of noise related measuring instruments is the largest. The qualified institutions and private institutions have greater number of certification and accreditation projects on physical agents and measuring instruments.

OBJECTIVETo summarize the clinical application result of the selective nerve root blocks in limited operation of the lumbar spine.

METHODSFrom January 2008 to October 2012,68 patients with lumbar spinal canal stenosis with multiple levels were underwent the selective nerve root blocks in limited operation of the lumbar spine,including 47 males and 21 females with an average age of 56 years old ranging from 45 to 80. After never roots blocks,64 cases were positive for limited operation of the lumbar spine; the other 4 cases were negative and abort the operation.

RESULTSThe nerve roots block operation smoothly and no complications related to the nerve roots block occurred. There was no neurologic injury complication in this study. Follow-up period ranged from 16 to 45 months postoperatively (means, 32 months). The recovery effect was calculated with Macnab scores, the result was excellent in 44 cases, good in 18 cases, poor in 1.

CONCLUSIONOperative treatment for lumbar spinal canal stenosis with multiple levels is focused on the areas causing symptomate neural compression rather than prophylactic decompression at areas of nonsymptomatic disease. Application of selective nerve root blocks can accurately judge the responsible vertebral body and pain source and improve the curative effect of limited operation of the lumbar spine

OBJECTIVETo summarize the clinical application results of the repair soft tissue defect in contralateral leg with a cross-leg soleus muscle flap pedicle transplantation.

METHODSFrom January 2008 to January 2013, 8 patients with soft-tissue defect in lower leg underwent reconstruction with a cross-leg soleus muscle flap pedicle transplantation (without microvascular anastomoses). There were 7 males and 1 female, aged from 20 to 49 years old with an average of 31.8 years. The operative time after injury was from 2 to 8 weeks with the mean of 46 days. The soleus muscle flap was transposed across to the contralateral leg defect area, then immediate to perform the coverage of the muscle flaps by a meshed split-thickness skin graft. The donor site was closed directly.

RESULTSAll the muscle flaps had survived completely. In one case, recipient area edge had a less exudate from drainage hole everyday, the incision spontaneously was healed after 2 week's changing dressing. Follow-up period ranged form 1.5 to 4 years with an average of 2.5 years postoperatively. The tibia and fibula fractures were healed well. A good contour was achieved at the recipient area. According to LEM standard, 2 cases got excellent results, 5 good and 1 fair.

CONCLUSIONSoleus flap pedicle transplantation is very suitable to repair the soft tissue defect of the injuried leg only one main blood vessel, and can reduce the damage of donor area.

OBJECTIVETo analyze the outcome and prognosis of autologous hematopoietic stem cell transplantation (AHSCT) combined with high dose radiotherapy/chemotherapy in 22 patients with nasal NK/T cell lymphoma.

METHODSFrom July 1992 to December 2005, 22 patients with nasal NK/T cell lymphoma were diagnosed pathologically. Immunophenotyping was performed in 13 cases. The patients were classified by Ann Arbor staging system and international prognosis index (IPI). The patients received cycles of chemotherapy every other two weeks or combined with radiotherapy for remission induction, followed high dose radiotherapy/chemotherapy, combined with autologous peripheral blood stem cell transplantation (APBSCT), or autologous bone-marrow transplantation (ABMT). Patients were given complementary radiotherapy after transplantation if they did not have it before. Twelve patients of IPI 3 -4 received consolidation chemotherapy, and one of them received the second transplantation.

RESULTSThe median follow-up duration was 64 (12 - 168) months. The 5 and 8-year overall survivals (OS) were 79.3% and 64.1%, and disease free survivals (DFS) were 36.4% and 27.3%, respectively. The 5-year OS were as follows: for stage I - II and III - IV disease were 90.0% and 70.0% (P = 0. 041); for patients without and with B symptom were 100.0% and 70.7% (P = 0.045); and for IPI 1 - 2 and 3 - 4 were 100.0% and 60.0% (P = 0.035), respectively. Multivariate analysis by COX regression revealed that disease stage, B symptom and IPI were independent prognostic factors.

CONCLUSIONAHSCT combined with high dose radiotherapy/chemotherapy is an effective treatment for patients with poor prognosis nasal NK/T cell lymphoma.

OBJECTIVEWith the objective of discovering novel putative chromosomal regions and special genes involved in the carcinogenesis, progression and metastasis of laryngeal squamous cell cancer (LSCC).

METHODSDNA copy profile of LSCC were obtained and analyzed by comparative genomic hybridization (CGH) and a computerized digital image analysis system. cDNA microarray of LSCC was performed and the profile was analyzed by Hierarchical clustering.

RESULTSCGH analysis showed average-12.9 gains and losses of chromosomes in LSCC. Relatively high frequencies of gains were found at 3q15-21 (14/18), 5p12-13 (11/18), 8q22-24 (6/18), 11q12-13 (8/18), 15q21-23 (7/18) and 18p11 (8/18), while those of losses at 1p13-21 (8/18), 3p21-23 (14/18), 5q21-22 (14/18), 9p12-pter (11/18) and 13q21-31 (8/18). Hierarchical clustering analysis showed that the differentially expressed genes were segregated into three groups. Three genes differentially expressed in process I (normal tissue to cancer) and process II (cancer to lymph node metastasis), and the Cy5/Cy3 ratios of twelve genes were either higher than 5.0 or lower than 0.2 in process I or process II. The fifteen special genes were first reported possibly to be the relationships with LSCC. In particular, 4 genes of them, which were cytochrome C oxidase Va, PPBP, EPHX2 and PON1, were first reported to correlate with tumorigenesis. SH3GL2, which was one of the 15 special genes, was located at one of the special chromosome regions, 9p12-pter.

CONCLUSIONThe important genes and special chromosomal aberrances might provide us a clue for further investigation of carcinogenesis, progression and metastasis in LSCC.

OBJECTIVETo study the role of Ca2+ overload and energy metabolism in mitochondria in masticatory muscle dysfunctional induced by occlusal trauma.

METHODSMitochondrial Ca2+ contents were measured with atomic emission spectrophotometer. Mitochondrial ATP and ADP contents were measured with high performance liquid chromatography.

RESULTS(1) Mitochondrial Ca2+ contents of masseter muscle ipsilateral to metal splint in ten and twenty days' experimental groups and that contralateral to metal splint in twenty days' experimental group increased significantly (P < 0.05). (2) Mitochondrial ATP contents of masseter muscle ipsilateral to metal splint in experimental groups were higher than that in control groups and contralateral to metal splint after twenty days. (3) Mitochondrial Ca2+ contents of masseter muscle ipsilateral to metal splint were significantly negatively correlated to the mitochondrial ATP contents (r = -0.780, P < 0.05).

CONCLUSIONCa2+ overload in mitochondria depresses ATP production, which results in energy metabolism disorder in masticatory muscle cells. It may play an important role in the mechanism that occlusal trauma results in masticatory muscle dysfunction.

OBJECTIVETo investigate the role of STK15 gene amplification and overexpression to genesis and development of laryngeal squamous cell carcinoma (LSCC).

METHODSSTK15 gene amplification in 40 cases carcinoma tissues and normal tissues as control was detected by differential PCR approach. STK15 mRNA and protein levels were evaluated by reverse transcription-polymerase chain reaction (RT-PCR) and immunohistochemistry method.

RESULTSIn 40 LSCC cases, STK15 gene amplification was found in 14 tumor tissues(35%), mRNA overexpression in 27 tumor tissues(67.5%), and protein upregulated in 29 tumor tissues(72.5%). Statistics analysis showed that STK15 gene amplification and mRNA overexpression were obviously associated to differentiation degree of LSCC, and protein overexpression was closely associated with both differentiation degree and pathological grades of LSCC.

CONCLUSIONThis research results suggest that STK15 gene amplification contributes to its mRNA and protein overexpression through affecting the exact replication of centrosome and separation of chromosomes. STK15 gene thus plays a role in LSCC oncogenesis and malignant progression.
