1.Development of TCM Science Depends on Re-understanding of relation between Diseases and Syndromes
Journal of Traditional Chinese Medicine 1992;0(12):-
The present paper puts forward that the relationship between differentiation of syndromes and differentiation of diseases ought to be the relation between methods and results. Differentiation of syndromes must presuppose differentiation of diseases. Syndrome has own specificity only when existence of diseases. However, this disease is not the traditional "disease" named by symptoms, but must be a "new" disease with developing law, specific syndromes and syndromes of corresponding stages.
2.Study on Regular Combination of Drugs and Significance in Pharmacology of Traditional Chinese Medicine
Journal of Traditional Chinese Medicine 1993;0(04):-
The theoretical problems about compatibility and composition of medicines in a prescription are an essential one for pharmacology of traditional Chinese medical formulae, but at present development of the theory of the compatibility delays, therefore practical further development is influenced. The author raises that the essence of a prescription is the relationship among the medicines, and regular combination of medicines is the minimal functional unit of this relationship. The combined models include both combination of medicines and combination of thinking.Prescription is composed of one to several combined units. The combination is determined by requirement of diseases, syndromes, medicines and other aspects. At the present stage, the combination should be attained by analysis of many same prescriptions and needs re-test by repeatedly practice.
3.Surgical treatment of the severely displaced supracondylar fracture of the humerus in children
Chinese Journal of Orthopaedic Trauma 2008;10(3):234-237
Objective To study the curative effects of surgical treatment of the severelv displaced supracondylar fracture of the humerus in children. Methods A retrospective investigation was conducted on 316 children with severely displaced supracondylar fracture of the humerus who had been treated with operation in our hospital from June 2001 to June 2006.There were 215 boys and 101 girls, with an average age of 7 years old(range,1 to 14).All were treated with open reduction and internal fixation by Kirschner wire, plaster external fixation after operation, and functional training 2 to 4 weeks postoperatively. Results All the 316 cases were followed up for over 6 months to 5 years, with an average of 2 yearS and 10 months. The functional recovery of the postoperative elbow joint was evaluated by Flynn's criteria.Of them,253 cases were rated as excellent,34 as good,25 as satisfactory, and 4 as poor.Cubitus varus deformity was found in 27 cases. Conclusions Although closed reduction and external fixation is the frst choice for the pediatric supracondylar fracture of the humerus, open reduction and Kirschner wire fixation is necessary for the severely displaced supracondylar fracture of the humerus, including those suffering from failed manipulative reduction, open fracture, vascular and neural injuries and limited function of the elbow joint. Anatomic reduction of broken ends,Kirschner wire internal fixation and early functional training are significant in the therapeutic efficacy of operation, and in the prevention or reduction of postoperative complications.
4.A Study on Help-seeking Hropensity of Chinese Undergraduates
Chinese Journal of Clinical Psychology 2001;0(03):-
Objective: To examine the help-seeking tendency of Chinese undergraduates in a normal university when they suffering from mental problems, and the reasons that prevented them from seeking professional help. Methods: A questionnaire was administered to 292 undergraduates. Results and Conclusions: ①The subjects preferred solving problems themselves to seeking others, and prefered to go to those who were closed to them when they had to ask for help. The professional counseling service was chosen only when the problem became severe and emotionally disturbed.②Male university students preferred to solve problems themselvesmrre than female ones, and students from the city preferred to solve problems themselves more than those from the countryside.③3 Some factors or categories were identified from the total 9 reasons that responsible for not asking for professional help, in which the more important two were "self efficacy relevant factor" and "saving face relevant factor".
5.Survey of Status Quo of Hospital Pharmaceutical Services and Clinical Pharmacy in China (Part 1): General Situation of Hospital Pharmaceutical Services

OBJECTIVE: To comprehend the general situation of pharmaceutical services in hospitals in China.METHOD: The general situation of pharmaceutical services was investigated by questionnaire survey through mailing among a total of 600 hospitals including third-level grade A and B and second-level grade A and B hospitals and 42 pilot sites hospitals of clinical pharmacist work system selected by stratified random sampling. And the results were given a statistical analysis.RESULTS & CONCLUSIONS: A total of 281 questionnaires(46.8%) were sent back from sample hospitals and 29(69.0%) from pilot hospitals.37.1% of the hospitals developed the service of mixed dispensing for intravenous drugs,61.7% set up drug information consultation department,32.9% had monitoring software or system for rational drug use, indicating a great evolvement has been achieved in Chinese hospital pharmaceutical services. But there is still great difference in pharmaceutical care between different level and grade of hospitals.
6.Survey on Hospital Pharmaceutical Care in China and the Status Quo of Clinical Pharmacy Practice(Part 2):Survey on Status Quo of Clinical Pharmacy Practice
China Pharmacy 2005;0(13):-
OBJECTIVE: To probe into the status quo of the practice of clinical pharmacy in hospitals of China.METHODS: A mailed questionnaire survey was conducted among 600 sample hospitals and 42 clinical pharmacist work system pilot hospitals based on stratified sampling regarding the status quo of the clinical pharmacy practice in China. And the results were subjected to statistical analysis.RESULTS & CONCLUSIONS: A total of 310 questionnaires were sent back, which revealed that the proportions of developing clinical pharmaceutical services including prescription evaluation,ADR monitoring, drug information consultation in hospitals at different level were high, but the proportions of developing such pharmaceutical services as medication orders' writing and drug-food interaction monitoring were low.The pilot hospitals had better clinical pharmacy services as compared with common hospitals, much as in drug therapy monitoring and individualized medication therapy. The clinical pharmacists were characterized by low quality and scanty numbers. The financial support to clinical pharmacy and the role of the clinical pharmacists remain to be intensified.

9.Clinical study on Shutiao Decoction based on psycho-cardiacology model in treating coronary heart disease with anxiety and depression
International Journal of Traditional Chinese Medicine 2021;43(1):32-36
Objective:To observe the clinical effect of Shutiao Decoction on patients with coronary heart disease and anxiety and depression. Methods:Sixty patients with stable coronary artery disease and anxiety and depression from January 2019 to December 2019 in Kunming Municipal Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine were selected. They were divided into a treatment group of 30 cases and a control group of 30 cases according to random number table method. The control group recieved Western medicine routine treatment combined with psychological intervention, the treatment group was treated with Shutiao Decoction on the basis of the control group, and the treatment course of both groups was 4 weeks. Before and after treatment, TCM syndrome score, Seattle Angina Scale (SAQ), Hamilton Anxiety Scale (HAMA) and Hamilton Depression Scale (HAMD) were evaluated. The adverse events were recorded during treatment and clinical efficacy was evaluated. Results:After treatment, the total effective rate in the treatment group was 90.0% (27/30), the control group was 73.3% (22/30), where the difference between the two groups was statistically significant ( Z=-2.515, P=0.012). After treatment, the TCM syndrome score (9.37 ± 6.47 vs. 18.37 ± 6.58; t=-5.341, P<0.01) of the treatment group was significantly lower than that of the control group. Among SAQ domains’ scores, the physical activity limitation, and the stable state of angina pectoris, angina attack in the treatment group were significantly higher than those of the control group ( t values were 2.294, 7.698, 4.677, 3.215, respectively, P<0.05 or P<0.01). The HAMA score of the treatment group was significantly lower than that of the control group (9.20 ± 5.26 vs. 12.17 ± 4.88; t=-2.266, P=0.027). The HAMD score in the treatment group was significantly lower than that of the control group (11.27 ± 5.83 vs. 15.03 ± 6.16; t=-2.433, P=0.018). During the treatment period, the incidence of adverse reactions was 3.33% (1/30) in the treatment group and 6.67% (2/30) in the control group. There was no statistically significant difference between the two groups ( χ2=0.351, P=0.554). Conclusion:Shutiao Decoction combined with western medicine routine treatment can improve patients’ TCM syndromes, relief angina pectoris, anxiety and depression.
10.cDNA-AFLP Reveals Variation of Sequence Region trnF-ndhJ in Cytoplasmic Male Sterile Chinese Cabbage-pak-choi
Progress in Biochemistry and Biophysics 2006;0(05):-
By means of cDNA amplified fragment length polymorphism(cDNA-AFLP) technique, a fragment P1708 was amplified from Polima cytoplasmic male sterile Chinese cabbage-pak-choi (Brassica campestris L. ssp. chinenesis Makino, syn, B. rapa L. ssp. chinenesis) 'Bpol97-05A'. RT-PCR showed that this fragment was specifically expressed in male sterile material. Sequencing and BLAST search in GenBank database indicated that P1708 had 100% homolog with chloroplast ndhJ-trnF gene region except a 54 bp insertion. Gene specific primer pairs were synthesized according to ndhJ-trnF gene region and two fragments about 1 900 bp were amplified respectively using genomic DNA templates of Polima cabbage and male fertile oilseed rape. The sequencing results showed that the gene region ndhJ-trnF of Polima cabbage contained two 54 bp repeats and some variation sites. The repeat part shared the same sequence as trnF gene except three bases at 5′ ends. For the insertion of 108 bp sequence, a new open reading frame was created.
