Wogonin is a kind of natural flavonoid compound. According to findings in the latest studies, wogonin shows a wide range of antitumor effects, with the characteristics of multi-pathway, multi-link and multi-target, such as promoting tumor cell apoptosis through ROS or Ca(2+)-mediated signal paths, enhancing tumor cytotoxicity by TNF-α and TRAIL, blocking tumor cell cycle, inhibiting tumor angiogenesis and resisting cancer synergistically with chemotherapeutic drugs. Moreover, Wogonin could enhance body immune function by enhancing immune cell infiltration, regulating the immune cell phenotype and promoting relevant cytokine secretion. In this paper, the authors summarized the advance in studies on wogonin's antitumor and immunomodulatory effects.

Journal of Shanghai Jiaotong University(Medical Science) 2017;37(2):230-233
Objective · To explore the effects of brisk walking on blood pressure, body mass index (BMI), and autonomic nerve activity of male elderly with hypertension in community-based health centers in Shanghai. Methods · A total of 630 elderly men received brisk walking treatment (>10000 steps/d) voluntarily, who were selected from six community-based health centers in Pudong New Area of Shanghai. Among them, 210 people stick to training for 12 weeks. According to whether suffering from hypertension, the people were assigned to hypertension intervened group (intervention group, n=110) and normal intervened group (control group 1, n=100). Blood pressure, BMI, heart rate and autonomic nerve activity before and after the training were compared. Results · After 12 weeks of training, systolic blood pressure (SBP), diastolic blood pressure (DBP) and sympathetic nerve activity of intervention group were significantly lower than those before the training (P<0.05). SBP was also significantly lower than control group 2 (P<0.05). However, heart rate, BMI, parasympathetic nerve activity and baroreceptor reflex sensitivity did not change significantly after the training (P>0.05). Conclusion · Brisk walking treatment lasting for 12 weeks can decrease blood pressure and sympathetic nerve activity in elderly men with hypertension. It is worthy to be popularized in the community.

Objective To use double clustering analysis and visualization method to analyze the research on Siraitiae Fructus in recent ten years; To know the hot spots and trend of research. Methods Relevant research about Siraitiae Fructus in CNKI from January of 2007 to December of 2016 was retrieved by computers, and the retrieval time was February 20th, 2017. BICOMB, NetDraw, gCLUTO and SPSS19.0 software were used to conduct double clustering analysis and visualization analysis for included articles. Keywords were analyzed, and social network graph, visualization matrix, peak image and multidimensional scaling analysis map were drawn. Correlation among high-frequency key words were analyzed. Results Totally 723 articles were included, among which 70 articles were issued during 2012–2016; 76 key words were obtained by key word co-occurrence network map, among which mogroside, MOG, extraction process, tissue culture, cultivation technology, varieties, growth and development were in the core position; visualization and the peak image showed that the topics in this research field could be divided into 6 categories; research hotspot dynamic evolution showed that Siraitiae Fructus flower, beverage, total flavonoids, gene expression, gene cloning, enzyme, apoptosis, and Siraitiae Fructus seed oil would be the hot spots of further study. Conclusion This study reveals that the research on Siraitiae Fructus in the recent ten years are becoming mature, and expand to deep level.

AIM:To investigate the expression and significance of thrombospondin-1(TSP-1)in left ventricular myocardium of type 2 diabetic cardiomyopathy(DCM).METHODS:The rat model of DCM was established by eating a high-fat diet together with injection of low dose streptozocin(30 mg/kg)intrapertoneally.After 12 weeks, the content of collagen was quantified by Masson staining. The mRNA level of TSP-1 was determined by quantification real-time RT-PCR,while the protein level of TSP-1 was analyzed by Western blotting and immunohistochemistry.RESULTS:Compared with the control group, the content of collagen in the DCM group was increased greatly(11.01?3.05 vs 16.92?3.18,P

Objective To investigate the changes of early and delayed washout rates of 99Tcm-methoxyisobutylisonitrile (MIBI) in ischemic heart disease (IHD), and to explore the value of 99Tcm-MIBI SPECT in evaluating impairment of ischemic myocardial cells. Methods Patients diagnosed of IHD with three-vessel stenosis ( ≥50% ) without myocardial infarction based on angiography (CAG) underwent 99Tcm-MIBI static planar and gated SPECT imaging. The early (90 min after the intravenous injection) and delayed (4 h after the intravenous injection) washout rates of 99Tcm-MIBI and left ventricular ejection fraction (LVEF) of IHD patients and normal subjects were compared using t-test. Linear correlation analysis was performed between the early, delayed washout rates and LVEF measured by gated SPECT. Results Statistically significant lower early washout rate of 99Tcm-MIBI was observed in IHD group than control group: (13.44 ± 2.87 )%vs ( 17.32 ± 4.92) %, t = 2.384, P < 0.05, but higher delayed washout rate of 99Tcm-MIBI was observed in IHD group than control group: (19.24 ±4.71)% vs (15.23 ±3.81)%, t= -2.246, P<0.05. LVEF in IHD group was significantly lower than that in control group: (55.71 ±7.97)% vs (67.75 ±5.43)%, t =-4.418, P <0.01. There were no correlations between the early/delayed washout rates and LVEF, respectively in IHD patients (r = -0.212, P > 0.05; r =0.352, P > 0.05, respectively). Conclusion 99Tcm-MIBI washout rate may reflect myocardial cell impairment due to IHD.

Objective:By calculating the efficiency of the scientific research laboratory, which reflects the level of the scientific research input and output capacity, provide reference for the evaluation and decision-making of its scientific research sustainable development capacity.Methods:20 scientific research laboratories in a hospital were selected as the research subjects, annual input data were used as the input index. Weighted quantitative scores of the performance of each laboratory in research capacity and contribution, research team construction, discipline development and personnel training, operation management, papers and monographs, patents and transfer, awards, graduate-student training, standards and norms, and academic conferences. All these factors mentioned above were used as output indicators. Then Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP) and Data Envelopment Analysis (DEA) are used to evaluate the scientific efficiency of each laboratory. Results:The performance of the laboratory is weak in the aspects of patent transfer, awards, standardization. The technical efficiency of laboratory 20 is the lowest, and the scale efficiency of laboratory 12 is the lowest. Conclusions:Scientific Research Laboratories should enhance the effectiveness through input adjustment and output enhancement, meanwhile each laboratory should pay attention to the transformation of scientific achievements and also the optimization of construction system.
