In this study, we aim to investigate the protective effects of astragaloside on ultraviolet A (UVA)-induced photoaging in human fibroblasts and its possible mechanisms.

Objective To investigate the pharmacologic action of the Magnolia biondii Pamp volatile oil nanometer bangosome. MethodsThe pharmacologic action of the Magnolia biondii Pamp volatile oil nanometer bangosome was evaluated by observing its effect on Jimpy mice with swelling ear,capillary permeability and rats with allergic symptoms. Results The Magnolia biondii Pamp volatile oil nanometer bangosome could significantly relieve the degree of swelling in Jimpy mice extended by p-xylene,inhibit the increased capillary permeability in Jimpy mice extended by HAC,and combat the symptoms of rhinocnesmus,sneezing,nasal discharge with a better effect than the Magnolia biondii Pamp volatile oil. Conclusion The Magnolia biondii Pamp Volatile oil nanometer bangosome has a good anti-inflammation and anti-hypersensitiveness effect,which upgrades the effect of the Magnolia biondii Pamp volatile oil.

Objective To investigate the correlation between Gab2 expression and platinum drugs chemotherapy resistance by detecting the expression of Gab2 in ovarian cancer.Methods Immunohistochemical and Western blotting techniques were used to detect the expression of Gab2 in 107 specimens of serous ovarian tumor tissue and 12 specimens of normal ovarian tissues resected during bladder cancer radical operation in the department of gynaecology of our hospital from January 2011 to June 2015.The correlation between Gab2 expression with clinical stage and effect of combined chemotherapy based on platinum drugs was analyzed.Results The Gab2 expression level in ovarian cancer tissue was significantly higher than that in normal ovarian tissue,moreover had a relation with the FIGO clinical stage,the expression level of Gab2 increased with the increase of clinical stage,the difference was statistically significant (P<0.05);61 cases were sensitive to chemotherapy,46 cases were resistant to chemotherapy,the Gab2 expression level in the patients with chemotherapy resistance was significantly higher than that in the patients with chemotherapy sensitivity,the difference was statistically significant (P<0.05).Conclusion Gab2 may become one of effective indexes for predicting platinum drugs chemotherapy sensitivity.

BACKGROUND: Tissue engineering plays an important role in treating rotator cuff injury. Promoting the healing of injured rotator cuff and preventing adhesion by regulating growth factor expression are main functions. OBJECTIVE:To compare the effects of corticosteroids and hyaluronic acid on the expressions of epidermal growth factor (EGF),platelet-derived growth factor (PDGF),transforming growth factor ? (TGF-?) and basic fibroblast growth factor (bFGF) in injured rotator cuff. DESIGN,TIME AND SETTING: The randomized controlled animal experiment was performed at the Animal Experimental Center,School of Medicine,Shanghai Jiao Tong University from July to September 2007. MATERIALS: Totally thirty-six Sprague-Dawley (SD) rats were randomly assigned into four groups: normal group (n=6),rotator cuff injury group (n=6),hyaluronic acid group (n=12) and corticosteroids group (n=12). METHODS: Full-thickness defects across 50% of the total width (5 mm) of the bilateral infraspinatus tendon were excised. Models of rotator cuff injury were created at the synovium. 0.05 mL hyaluronic acid was injected into the subacromial bursa mucosa in the hyaluronic acid group,whereas 0.05 mL corticosteroids in the corticosteroids group. MAIN OUTCOME MEASURES: At three and six weeks after injury,the infraspinatus were harvested to detect EGF,PDGF,TGF-? and BFGF by reverse transcription-polymerase chain reaction (RT-PCR).
