Exfoliative cell samples were collected from 545 patients in outpatient clinic of Kelamayi Centre Hospital from Sep 2009 to Dec 2010. Liquid-based cytology test ( LCT ) and high-risk human papillomavirus (HR-HPV) test were performed in exfoliative cells; and colposcopic biopsy was undertaken in all patients. With the pathological results as gold standard the diagnostic values of HR-HPV test,LCT test,HPV-LCT serial test and HPV-LCT parallel test were evaluated for cervical cancer screening. The sensitivity of HPV-LCT parallel test was 99.17% with a Youden's index of 0.81.Our results indicate that HPV-LCT parallel test can improve significantly the detection rate of cervical cancer screening.
4.Intramedullary pin versus plate for treatment of displaced mid-shaft clavicle fractures: a meta-analysis
Chinese Journal of Orthopaedic Trauma 2014;16(7):591-598
Objective To compare the clinical efficacy of intramedullary pin versus plate fixation for displaced mid-shaft clavicle fractures. Methods The databases,PubMed,CENTAL and CBM,were searched according to the standards of the Cochrane Collaboration for all the randomized controlled trials (RCTs) and clinical controlled trials (CCTs) comparing intramedullary pin with plate fixation for treatment of displaced mid-shaft clavicle fractures. In addition, hand search was also conducted in relevant journals.Time limit for search was from the beginning till December 2013.Trial quality was assessed using the modified Jadad scale and effective data were pooled for Meta analysis with software RevMan5.2.7,including wound infection, hospital stay, wound size, intraoperative blood loss, operation duration, implant irritation, implant problems, delayed union, malunion, nonunion, total complications and Constant scoring. Results Three RCTs and 7 CCTs with 697 patients were included in our study. The modified Jadad scoring showed fine quality of the 10 trials.Intramedullary fixation was significantly superior to plate fixation in wound size, intraoperative blood loss, operation duration, hospital stay, wound infection, and symptomatic hardware (P < 0.05),but led to a significantly higher rate of implant problems (P < 0.05).However,no significant differences were identified in total complication rate, delayed union, nonunion, malunion or Constant score (P > 0.05).Conclusions The superiority of intramedullary fixation for displaced mid-shaft clavicle fracture lies in its advantages of minimally invasion, such as limited incision, less intraoperative bleeding, shorter operation time and hospital stay, less wound infection and implant irritation.Ahhough intramedullary fixation may lead to a higher rate of implant problems,it shows no significant differences from plate fixation in bone healing and functional recovery.

Purpose:To study reproductive function and disease outcome in women with borderline ovarian tumors (BOT) who were treated with primary conservative surgery. Methods:From January 1990 to May 2000, the clinical data eligible according to criterions in our hospital , which had been statistically managed by SAS software package, were retrospectively reviewed and questionnaires were accepted in all cases with BOT. Results:41 of the 43 patients with a median follow up time of 63 months, finished our questionnaires. Of the 43 selected patients, 26(60.5%) were classified as serous borderline ovarian tumors (SBOT), 17(39.5%) mucous borderline ovarian tumors(MBOT) . 29 patients were free after primary conservative surgery and 14 cases with recurrence including one patient who died of tumor recurrence and the other died of intercurrent disease .The median recurrence time after conservative surgery was 39.3 months and the recurrence was more frequent in patients treated with ovarian cystectomy than in those treated with oophorectomy alone (58% compared with 22%, Fisher exact probability =0.0351). The death rate due to conservative surgery was not higher than that seen in hysterectomy and bilateral adnexectomy (Fisher exact probability=0.64)?Moreover, twelve of the 24 patients attempting pregnancy(50%) had conceived of which the median age was 25 years, with a range of 23-34 years. Conclusions: Conservative surgery remains a therapeutic option in selected patients with BOT. Although the rate of recurrence is relatively high especially in those treated with ovarian cystectomy, mortality from cancer remains about the same in patients with conservative surgery or radical operations. Many patients who desire pregnancy are able to conceive and deliver healthy offspring.

Objective To investigate related factors of gastrointestinal bleeding in elderly advanced cancer hospice inpatients , in order to facilitate better control. Methods A retrospective investigation of the clinical data of the elderly advanced cancer hospice inpatients was done , 85 cases with gastrointestinal bleeding (experimentalgroup) were compared with 294 cases with non-gastrointestinal bleeding cases (control group). Results Multivariate logistic stepwise regression analysis showed:HP infection [odds ratios (OR) = 3.241,95% confidence interval (CI) 1.792~5.863], non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (OR=3.080,95%CI 1.725~5.497), long-term heart and lung disease (OR=2.323,95%CI 1.315~4.105), stress (OR=1.858,95%CI 1.054 ~ 3.274), albumin (OR =0.760,95%CI 0.679~0.851), enteral nutrition (OR=0.499,95%CI 0.679~0.851) on gastrointestinal bleeding in elderly advanced cancer hospice inpatients were significant (P<0.05). Conclusions We should strengthen the surveillance of elderly advanced cancer hospice inpatients with gastrointestinal bleeding , to improve the quality of life, and according to the risk factors, the early diagnosis and treatment must be regarded.

Objective:To investigate the effect of fibrinogenase combined with aspirin on blood viscosity and clinical efficacy in patients with acute cerebral infarction. Methods:Senventy patients with mild to moderate acute cerebral infarction from October 2016 to June 2020 were collected from the Third People′s Hospital of Dalian. Patients were divided into control group and treatment group according to the random number table method, with 35 cases in each group. The control group was given oral aspirin plus an intravenous drip of normal saline equal to the treatment group, while the treatment group was given aspirin plus fibrinogenase by intravenous drip. Both groups were given symptomatic treatment such as management of blood glucose, blood pressure, arteriosclerosis plaque stabilization and improvement of circulation for 10 d. Blood viscosity and neurological deficit score were measured before and after treatment. Results:Compared with baseline values, WBV showed a slight decrease in all shear rates in the control group after treatment compared with that before treatment, but the difference was not statistically significant ( P>0.05). In the treatment group, all shear rates decreased compared with that before treatment ( P<0.05), and the effect of WBV was significant compared with that of the control group ( P<0.05). The improvement of neurological function in the treatment group was better than that in the control group. The significant efficiency and the total effective rate in the treatment group were significantly higher than those in the control group: 34.3% (12/35) vs. 25.7% (9/35), 88.6% (31/35) vs.71.4% (25/35). Conclusions:Fibrinogenase combined with aspirin in the treatment of acute cerebral infarction patients can safely and effectively reduce blood viscosity and improve clinical symptoms.

Chinese Acupuncture & Moxibustion 2014;34(7):663-666
OBJECTIVETo compare the efficacy differences between fire needling therapy and oxycycline tablets for the treatment of moderate to severe acne vulgaris.
METHODSSixty cases of moderate to severe acne vulgaris were randomly divided into a fire needling group and a medication group, 30 cases in each one. The pricking method of fire needling at Ashi points around damaged skin was applied in the fire needling group, once every five days for totally 4 times. The oral administration of oxycycline tablets, 100 mg, was applied in the medication group, twice daily for 20 days, also external application of adapalene gel before sleep was adopted. The fading time of skin damage, including papule, pustule, nodule and cyst in the two groups was recorded and clinical efficacy was compared. After the treatment, two-month follow-up was performed to observe the recurrence rate in the two groups.
RESULTSThe curative rate was 69.0% (20/29) in the fire needling group, which was statistically different from 40.0% (12/30) in the medication group (P < 0.05). The fading time of each type of skin damage in the fire needling group was shorter than that in the medication group [papule: (2.67 +/- 0.66) d vs (4.36 +/- 0.61) d; pustule: (2.47 +/- 0.57) d vs (4.27 +/- 0.55) d; nodule: (7.76 +/- 1.06) d vs (9.88-1.30) d; cyst: (11.81 +/- 1.54) d vs (14.79 +/- 0.89) d, all P < 0.05]. The recurrence rate was 46.4% (13/28) in the fire needling group, which was not significantly different from 44.0% (11/24) in the medication group (P > 0.05).
CONCLUSIONThe acne vulgaris could be fast and effectively treated by fire needling therapy, which has shorter fading time than oxycycline tablets. However, the preventive effect is not different between the two theraies.

Authentications of Chinese herbal medicine have a critical effect in Chinese clinical medicine. DNA molecular marker, as an important component for true or false authentication, is more and more widely used in iden-tification of Chinese medicinal materials. At the same time, many new methods for authentication of Chinese medici-nal materials are continuously emerging. But the systematically comparative analysis of these new methods is lack. The present study taking Lonicera japonica as an example, systematically compared principles, characteristics, ex-periment methods, detection time and the application scope of express sequence tag-simple sequence repeat (EST-SSR), polymerase chain reaction-restriction fragment length polymorphism (PCR-RFLP), allele-specific PCR (AS-PCR), DNA barcoding and loop-mediated isothermal amplification (LAMP), and put forward corresponding improve-ment opinions. This study can help to screen appropriate approach for rapid authentication of L. japonica and offer demonstrating to other Chinese herbal medicines.
