1.Reconsidering the use of neoadjuvant chemotherapy in breast cancer
Chinese Journal of Clinical Oncology 2016;43(15):643-645
With the intense development of neoadjuvant chemotherapy for breast cancer research in recent years, this approach has been used widely in clinical treatment. Neoadjuvant chemotherapy can increase the chance of operation for patients with local y advanced breast cancer. Moreover, it can improve breast-conserving rate in larger-tumor patients, thereby improving the quality of life of these patients. However, some controversies regarding the use of neoadjuvant chemotherapy for breast cancer patients remain to be resolved. This review focuses on clinical studies and re-recognition of neoadjuvant chemotherapy as a viable treatment for breast cancer.

3.Effect and Mechanism of Immobilization on Skeletal Muscle (review)
Chinese Journal of Rehabilitation Theory and Practice 2006;12(12):1024-1025
Immobilization is a usual method to treat the injury of skeletal muscle system and plays an important role in rehabilitation of diseases. But immobilization also displays some negative effects, of all, muscle system is affected significantly. The mechanism is explored in the article from immobilization-induced skeletal muscle atrophy, the dropping of muscle power, reduction of vessels density in muscle and metabolic disturbance of muscle. The authors of the article advances that shortening the period of immobilization as possible and performing early rehabilitation are important to remove the negative influence of immobilization, but all treatments should obey the medical rules.

Objective To investigate the efficacy of electromyographic biofeedback therapy (EMGBFT) in treating dysphagia after stroke. Methods Patients diagnosed with dysphagia after stroke were recruited and randomly divided into a control group (n =22),an electrostimulation group (ES,n =25) and an EMGBFT group (n =23).The control group received conventional treatment, while the patients in the other groups additionally received Vitalstim ES or EMGBFT 5 times per week for 3 weeks. Before and after the trial, deglutition function was evaluated through surface electromyography (sEMG) and using a standardized swallowing assessment (SSA).Results After 3 weeks of treatment, the mean sEMG amplitude, deglutition duration and SSA score and improved significantly in comparison to the baseline in all three groups. All were also significantly better in the two treatment groups than in the control group.Importantly, the mean sEMG amplitude, deglutition duration and SSA score were all significantly better in the EMGBFT group than in the ES group. Conclusion EMGBFT can promote better deglutition among patients with dysphagia after stroke more effectively than ES or conventional treatment.

Journal of Clinical Otorhinolaryngology Head and Neck Surgery 2018;32(2):148-152
Since Fujita first described uvulopalatopharyngoplasty(UPPP)in 1981,UPPP and its modified procedures have been widely used to treat obstructive sleep apnea and hyponea syndrome(OSAHS).However, despite of its wide application, the success rates was uncertain, ranging from 20% to 80%,with patients of varing Friedman stages. It is well known that the principle of UPPP is to remove the redundant tissue of palate, elongated uvula and hypertrophic tonsils in order to widen the anteroposterior space at the level of palate. But recently, surgeons have found that not only the collapse of soft palate but also the collapse of lateral wall at the palate level can contribute to the obstruction of upper airway at the level of palate. As a result, many surgeries which can widen the lateral velopharyneal space have sprung up in these years. This review focuses on the development of techniques that emphasize the enlargement of lateral velopharyneal space in patients with OSAHS.

Journal of Applied Clinical Pediatrics 2006;0(13):-
Objective To explore mechanism of action of rhubarb on intrahepatic cholestasis in infantile rats. Methods Ninety Sprague-Dawley(SD)infantile rats were randomly divided into 5 groups:treatment group of rhubarb, untreated group, treatment control group 1 of ursodeoxychlic acid(UDCA),treatment control group 2 of UDCA and deltasone, and control group not treated with ?-naphthyl isothiocyanate(ANIT)and any other treatments.Jaundice model of intrahepatic cholestasis was established in infantile rats by ANIT.At the time of the 2nd,3rd,and 4th week, the concentrations of serum total bilirubin(TB),direct bilirubin(DB),ALT,alkaline phosphatase(ALP),total bile acid(TBA)and TBA were assessed by automatic biochemical analyzer. The concentrations of nitrogen monoxide(NO),maleic dialdehyde(MDA)and the ability of total antioxidation(T-AOC)in liver tissues were measured. Results It was demonstrated that the animal model of hepatic jaundice with cholestasis was successfully established. The levels of serum DB,TB,ALP,ALT and TBA were significantly lower in the treatment group of rhubarb compared with those in the untreated group(Pa
7. Pharmacodynamics of sulfadiazine silver-dyclonine composite film for the treatment of superficial II degree burn
Chinese Pharmaceutical Journal 2013;48(15):1271-1274
OBJECTIVE: To explore the pharmacodynamics of silver sulfadiazine-dyclonine composite film for the treatment of superficial TJ degree burn in rats. METHODS: Thirty SD rats were randomly divided into normal saline group, silver sulfadiazine film group and silver sulfadiazine-dyclonine composite film group(n = 10 in each group). The hair removal area of rats was scalded in 85°C water bath for 15s, producing superficial II degree burn model. The heart rates before and after the medication, changes of pain threshold, wound healing and cure rate were observed. RESULTS: Silver sulfadiazine-dyclonine composite film had little influence on the heart rate in the early period, however, the heart rate decreased slightly soon afterwards. Silver sulfadiazine-dyclonine composite film increased the pain threshold significantly. Compared to silver sulfadiazine film, silver sulfadiazine-dyclonine composite film had a little advantage on the average time for wound healing which were (19.5 ± 1.02) d for the composite film and (21 ± 1.18) d for the other one. On the 20th day, the cure rate of silver sulfadiazine-dyclonine composite film was 90%. CONCLUSION: Silver sulfadiazine-dyclonine composite film also has skin burn repair action as silver sulfadiazine film, and it has analgesis effect and can promote wound healing.

Currently, as an important raw material of Chinese traditional patent medicines, Paridis Rhizome is in great demand, which led to its price increases. In order to protect the wild resources and satisfy market demand of Paridis rhizome, the researches in various directions were conducted, involved its chemical composition, pharmacological action, clinical application, resource investigation, artificial cultivation, etc. Herein, the chemical studies of genus Paridis Rhizome, aerial parts of Paridis Rhizome gummy and starchy Paridis Rhizome, and the studies of endophyte in Paridis Rhizome were reviewed and analyzed in order to explore the substitutes of Paridis Rhizome, and provide the reference for the enlargement of medicinal resources of Paridis Rhizome. It manifests that the steroidal saponins, the important chemical compositions in Paridis Rhizome were tested in genus Paridis Rhizome, aerial parts of Paridis Rhizome, gummy Paridis Rhizome and the endophyte in Paridis Rhizome. However, the further experimental studies and clinical verification works should be carried out to confirm the final substitute.

Acta Pharmaceutica Sinica 2014;49(7):971-976
Cyclophosphamide (CPA) is the most common alkylating antineoplastic agent, as well as a strong immunosuppressant that is frequently applied to autoimmune diseases and organ transplantation. It is metabolized by cytochrome P450 oxidases (CYPs) to its active metabolite which played a critical role in therapy. CPA has serious and even fatal side effects, and its efficacy and adverse reactions are significantly varied among individuals. In this review, the association of the genetic polymorphisms in the metabolic enzymes and transporters involved in the disposition of CPA with the efficacy and adverse effects of CPA were summarized, thereby providing fundamental reference for further pharmacogenomic study of CPA.
