2.Update on bordetella pertussis epidemiology
International Journal of Pediatrics 2014;(4):361-364
Pertussis or whooping cough is an acute infectious disease of the respiratory system, which is mainly caused by Bordetella pertussis and Bordetella parapertussis. It can occur at any age,but is most serious in young infants. Despite widespread use of vaccination, pertussis has not been eliminated. On the contrary, increased incidence rates have been reported worldwide during the last two decades, also called reemergence of pertussis. So it is necessary to evaluate current state on pertussis research,in order to better provide basis for mo-nitoring and control pertussis. This paper reviews the pertussis epidemiological changes and the related cause analysis and immunization strategy.
3.Effective scoring function for protein structure prediction
Journal of Shanghai Jiaotong University(Medical Science) 2006;0(01):-
Objective To design a good scoring function for predicting the tertiary structures of proteins. Methods A scoring function, which was composed of simple sum of pairwise distance-dependent potentials of C?-C?,N-N,C′-C′ and backbone dihedral angle-dependent potentials, was proposed in this paper. Results The performance of the scoring function was verified with experiment to be improved. Conclusion The proposed scoring function is effective and valid in predicting the tertiary structures of proteins.

Acta Universitatis Medicinalis Anhui 2015;(7):991-995
Objective To discuss the expression of tumor necrosis factor-like weak inducer of apoptosis ( TWEAK) in serum, urine and renal tissue in lupus nephritis( LN) . Methods The serum and urine levels of TWEAK were assessed by ELISA in LN patients and normal controls. Immunohistochemistry was used to detect the expressions of TWEAK in the kidney of patients and healthy controls. Results The serum and urine concentrations of TWEAK and MCP-1 were significantly higher in LN patients than those in healthy controls(P<0. 01). In addition, the level of serum TWEAK showed positive correlation with SLEDAI and negative correlation with serum C3 level ( P <0. 01),the expression of urine TWEAK showed positive correlation with SLEDAI (P<0. 05). In healthy renal tis-sues TWEAK was distributed mainly in renal tubules and rarely seen in glomerular while the expressions of TWEAK increased in renal tubular and glomeruli stainings were found in LN paitients. TWEAK could induce increased mac-rophage migration, may be involved in the pathological progression of lupus nephritis. Conclusion TWEAK may play key roles in the pathogenesis of LN. Meanwhile, TWEAK in serum and urine may be useful as markers of dis-ease activity. The change of TWEAK maybe associated with the pathology category of LN.

Chinese Journal of Cancer Biotherapy 1995;0(02):-
This is the first report on gene therapy of mice melanoma by HSV - tk/ACV system. The sensitivity to ACV of genetically modified B16 cells (B16LNTK) was much higher than that of the parental cells. The sensitivity to ACV of B16 cells was increased when they were co - cultured with B16LNTK cells with various ratios. which showed the exist of the by stander effects. The tumor volume of B16LNTK (0.25cm3) is 94% less than that of B16 in C57BL/6 mice after 20-days ACV treatment. (P

The classic treatise on febrile disease is one of the four great classics of traditional Chinese medicine,is the bridge of TCM theory and clinical courses. We think there are the following three aspects to cultivate the students' clinical thinking through this classic, teaching:the first is case teaching method throughout the class; the second is the application of multiple teaching methods to improve the teaching effect; and the third is the reform of examination way and improving the students' clinical interest.

Journal of Clinical Surgery 2001;0(02):-
Objective This work aimed at study the rel ationship between the pathologicomorphological change of gastrocneminus muscle cells and deep venous insufficiency (DVI).Methods Patients with DVI in three different stage of developing process are grouped into early t eam?middle team and late team group ,each group consists of 9 cases.HE stain , special ATPase histoenzymic methds was quantitatively employed to study histo chemical cytomorphology of gastrocneminus and musculus sartorius specimens in th ose subjects. Results There is no significant difference of the pathologicomorphological change, either between early-stage group and mid-sta ge group or between early-stage group & mid-stage and control group. But there is significant difference comparing advanced stage group and early-stage group & m id-stage group or between advanced-stage and control group. Conclusion As the process of DVI develops, marked morphological degeneration can be found in gastrocneminus muscle cells. It could be regarded as the pathogenic fundament of impairment of calf muscle pump and development of DVI.

Journal of Shanghai Jiaotong University(Medical Science) 2006;0(04):-
Objective To investigate the pharmacologic action of the Magnolia biondii Pamp volatile oil nanometer bangosome. MethodsThe pharmacologic action of the Magnolia biondii Pamp volatile oil nanometer bangosome was evaluated by observing its effect on Jimpy mice with swelling ear, capillary permeability and rats with allergic symptoms. Results The Magnolia biondii Pamp volatile oil nanometer bangosome could significantly relieve the degree of swelling in Jimpy mice extended by p-xylene,inhibit the increased capillary permeability in Jimpy mice extended by HAC,and combat the symptoms of rhinocnesmus, sneezing, nasal discharge with a better effect than the Magnolia biondii Pamp volatile oil. Conclusion The Magnolia biondii Pamp Volatile oil nanometer bangosome has a good anti-inflammation and anti-hypersensitiveness effect, which upgrades the effect of the Magnolia biondii Pamp volatile oil.

Journal of Huazhong University of Science and Technology (Medical Sciences) 2002;22(4):367-8, 374
The features of the symptoms, laboratory tests and pathological characteristics of adrenal cortical and medullary hyperplasia were studied. In 6 cases of hypercatecholaminenia, plasma norepinephrine (NE), epinephrine (E), catecholamine (CA) and 24-h urinary vanillylmandelic acid (VMA), 17-hydroxycorticosteroid (OHCS) and 17-ketosteroid (KS) were determined. Adrenal glands were examined by CT scan and 131I-MIBG imaging. Pathological examination was performed after operation. The results showed that in 6 cases of hypercatecholaminenia (3 men and 3 women) aged from 34-50 years, the clinical features were just like "pheochromocytoma", for example, episodic headache, perspiration, palpitation, pallor, apprehension, nausea, tremor, anxiety and so on. Plasma levels of CA, NE and E were elevated in all 6 cases. 24-h urinary samples obtained at the onset revealed elevated VMA in 1 case. 24-h urinary cortisol was obviously elevated in all 6 cases. 24-h urinary 17-OHCS, 17-KS was normal. B-type ultrasound, CT, MRI and 131I-MIBG revealed 9 lateral adrenal gland diffuse or nodular enlargement in 6 cases. Pathologic examination showed adrenal cortical and medullary hyperplasia. Clinically, adrenal cortical and medullary hyperplasia resembled "pheochromocytoma". The most significant feature of this disease was both elevated plasma CA and 24-h urinary cortisol obviously. Pathologic examination showed adrenal cortex nodular hyperplasia and medullar diffuse or limit hyperplasia. Whether it is an independent disease or symptoms of the other disease has not final conclusion up till now.
