3.Building and application of the public welfare evaluation index system for public hospitals
Chinese Journal of Hospital Administration 2013;29(11):816-819
Building a systematic public welfare evaluation index system for public hospitals is key to scientific evaluation of the public welfare positioning of public hospitals and enhancing their public benefit orientation, along with references for government decision making on macro health policies. The indexes were screened and pinpointed in two rounds of Delphi expert consultations, and index weights were determined with the variation coefficient method, initially building a public welfare performance evaluation index system for such hospitals, including eight class-1 indexes and 20 class-2 indexes.Outcomes of the system prove that the public welfare performance indexes of the two hospitals evaluated rise year by year from 2008 to 2010.
4.Effects of terlipressin in the management of ascites after hepatectomy: a prospective trial
Chinese Journal of Digestive Surgery 2012;(6):518-521
Objective To investigate the efficacy of terlipressin in the management of ascites after hepatectomy. Methods Fifty-four patients with hepatic cancer who were admitted to the Union Hospital of Tongji Medical College from January 2010 to January 2011 were randomly divided into the research group (28 patients) and control group (26 patients) according to the random number table.Patients in the research group were treated by the terlipressin and albumin, and patients in the control group were treated by furosemide and albumin. The volume of ascites, urine output, renal function, electrolyte balance, recovery after hepatectomy and complications of the 2 groups were investigated. All data were analyzed by the t test,chi-square test or Fisher exact probability. Results The volume of postoperative maximum drainage was (351 ± 174) ml in the research group, which was significantly lesser than (551 ±233)ml in the control group (t =3.604,P < 0.05).The total urine output of the research group was significantly higher than that of the control group at postoperative day 1 and day 3 (t =5.816,2.722,P < 0.05).All patients had normal renal function except 1 patient was complicated by hepatorenal syndrome in the control group.Electrolyte imbalance was observed in 3 patients (11%) in the research group and 9 patients (35%) in the control group, with a significant difference (x2 =4.456,P < 0.05).The postoperative time of intensive care unit stay and the anal exsufflation time of the research group were (22 ± 12)hours and (68 ±24)hours,which were similar to (23 ± 10)hours and (76 ±28)hours of the control group (t =0.331,1.130,P >0.05).The abdominal drainage tube removal time and hospital stay of the research group were (102 ± 42)hours and (15 ±4)days,which were significantly shorter than (140 ±50) hours and (18 ±5)days (t =3.032,2.443,P < 0.05).There were 1 patient in the research group complicated with high blood pressure and 1 patient in the control group with cardiac arrhythmia. The incidences of adverse reaction were 4% (1/28) in the research group and 4% (1/26) in the control group, with no significant difference (P > 0.05).Conclusion Terlipressin is effective in the management of ascites after hepatectomy, has less effect on electrolyte balance and is beneficial to quick recovery.
5.Analysis of bacteriology of drug sensitivity in the inactive stage of chronic suppurative otitis media.
Journal of Clinical Otorhinolaryngology Head and Neck Surgery 2014;28(13):932-934
OBJECTIVE:
Detecting the sensitivities of bacterium in the inactive stage of chronic suppurative otitis media, to guide a clinical rational drug use after the type I tympanoplasty.
METHOD:
Collecting 148 hospitalized patients from Guangdong General Hospital diagnosed as inactive stage of chronic suppurative otitis media, who had been dry ear for more than 1 months. Analyse the results of drug sensitivity on the mucosa surfaces of the middle ear.
RESULT:
There are 16 species of bacterium, including Staphylococcus aureus, Pseudomonas aeruginosa, Enterobacter cloacae etc. Total positive rate of bacteria was 33.1%, the detectable rate of gram-positive bacteria was 69.4%, gram-negative bacteria was 30.6%. Drug sensitive test demonstrated that vancomycin, linezolid, teicoplanin, rifampicin etc were effective in gram positive bacteria, piperacillin/tazobactam, cefoperazone/sulbactam etc were effective in gram-negative bacteria.
CONCLUSION
Patients with dry ears, who were going to take type I tympanoplasty, still had potential pathogens. Bacterial cultivation and drug sensitive test before operation can guide the clinical medication and prevent infection.

6.Mental therapy of women perimenopausal period syndrome
Chinese Journal of Rehabilitation Theory and Practice 2004;10(7):430-431
Objective To observe curative effect of mental therapy on women perimenopausal period syndrome. Methods 100 patients with perimenopausal period syndrome were randomly divided into the treatment group and control group with 50 cases in each group. Patients of the treatment group were treated by Cryzanolam, Surazepam, etc,and mental therapy was given simultaneously twice one week. Patients of the control group were treated only by drugs. The period of treatment was four weeks. The curative effect was assessed by SCL-90 symptom self evaluation scales. Results Several factors and total average points of two groups' SCL-90 all dropped, and there was significant difference between two groups after therapy (P<0.01). For patients of the treatment group, clinic symptoms were markedly abated after treatment (P<0.05), and average scores of several factors were not significantly different from normal adults (P>0.05). Conclusion The mental therapy can remit symptoms of women perimenopausal period syndrome effectively and improve their healthy.
