2.Superior Mesenteric Artery Syndrome following Corrective Spinal Surgery for Scoliosis
The Singapore Family Physician 2017;43(1):53-57
Superior Mesenteric Artery (SMA) syndrome is a well-known but rare complication following corrective surgery for scoliosis. It can be easily missed if not thought of in patients presenting with abdominal pain and vomiting post-scoliosis surgery. SMA syndrome is most commonly associated with conditions resulting in significant weight loss but can also occur as a result of biomechanical changes following scoliosis surgery. We present a case of a 13 year-old girl who developed SMA syndrome following scoliosis surgery. A high index of suspicion and early surgical referral are paramount for the successful management of SMA syndrome.
3.Investigation of Rehabilitation in Rural Community Health Service after Earthquake in Sichuan
Chinese Journal of Rehabilitation Theory and Practice 2009;15(9):887-888
Objective To study the condition of rehabilitation in Community Health Service (CHS) in rural areas after earthquake. Methods 274 medical personnels of CHS were invistigated with the questionnaire. Results There was no rehabilitation therapist in those medical personnel, and no difference of requirement, referral will and acquaintance of therapy between rehabilitation and acupuncture in CHS (P=0.056,P=0.293,P=0.654). There was a significant difference in acquaintance of rehabilitation among different ages of medical personnel (P<0.01), but there wasn't of acupuncture (P=0.104). Conclusion It still lack rehabilitation therapist in CHS. Techniques and resources were the key points in the development of community-based rehabilitation.
5.Value of morphologic parameters with optical coherence tomography in predicting the surgery outcome for idiopathic macular hole
International Eye Science 2017;17(8):1473-1476
Accompanying with the development of technological level, optical coherence tomography plays a more and more important role in predicting the surgical outcome for idiopathic macular hole.Preoperative morphologic parameters like minimum diameter, base diameter, maximum height, macular hole index, hole form factor, tractional hole index, macular hole closure index, photoreceptor inner-outer segment junction, cone outer segment tips line, central subfield retinal thickness and macular hole inner opening diameter were proved correlated to postoperative visual acuity and anatomical results. It has important application value to know these predictors to judge the surgical outcome and deepen understanding of idiopathic macular hole.

Objective: To observe the endothelial-dependent vasodilatation and expressions of cyclophilin A (CyPA), phosphorylated extracellular signal regulated kinase1/2 (p-ERK1/2) in experimental rats with obesity combining atherosclerosis.
Methods: A total of 30 male Wistar rats were randomly divided into 3 groups:Control group, the rats received basic diet followed by intraperitoneal injection of normal saline;Atherosclerosis (AS) group, the rats received basic diet for 8 weeks followed by high cholesterol diet with intraperitoneal injection of a single dose vitamin D3 600,000 IU/kg; Obesity+AS group, the rats received high cholesterol diet for 8 weeks (which made their body weights at 20%higher than the other 2 groups) followed by intraperitoneal injection of a single dose vitamin D3 600,000 IU/kg. n=10 in each group. 16 weeks later, the endothelial-dependent vasodilatation was examined in all rats, expressions of CyPA and p-ERK1/2 in arterial wall were detected by HE staining and immunohistochemistry.
Results: Compared with Control group, both AS group and Obesity+AS group had reduced endothelial-dependent vasodilatation (72.49 ± 3.27)%and (42.28 ± 2.62)%vs (96.63 ± 3.85)%, such reduction was even more in Obesity+AS group (42.28 ± 2.62)%vs (72.49 ± 3.27)%, all P<0.05. HE staining displayed that in Control group, AS group and Obesity+AS group had normal vessel structure, the endothelial cell damage, vessel smooth muscle cell proliferation, atherosclerosis and calcification plaques at different degrees;immunohistochemistry indicated that the expressions of CyPA and p-ERK1/2 in endothelial and smooth muscle cells were increased accordingly in above 3 groups, all P<0.05 between any 2 groups.
Conclusion: The rats with obesity and AS had decreased endothelial-dependent vasodilatation, severe atherosclerosis and calciifcation plaques, increased expressions of CyPA and p-ERK1/2, which speculated that obesity might be an independent risk factor for atherosclerosis.

Journal of Practical Radiology 2015;(6):974-977
Objective To estimate the diagnostic value of dual-energy CT in gouty arthritis. Methods English and Chinese litera-tures publicated before May 2014 were searched in PubMed,Embase,Cochrane and Wanfang database.Available literatures were selected according to the inclusion and exclusion criterias.Sensitivity, specificity with 95% confidence interval (95% CI)was pooled with bivariate random-effects model.Hierarchical weighted symmetric summary receiver-operating curve (HSROC)was also used in estimating.Meta-regression and sensitivity analysis were used to explore the potential sources of heterogeneity. Results Nine studies were included in the analysis. The pooled sensitivity, specificity and 95% CI were 92%(84-96%)and 88%(83-92%)respectively, area under the HSROC curve was 0.91 (0.88-0.93).There was substantial heterogeneity between studies(I 2 =85%).Conclusion Dual-energy CT is accuracy in diagnosing gouty arthritis. The sources of heterogeneity was not been explored.

Chinese Pharmacological Bulletin 2003;0(09):-
Aim This was to study the effects of hydroxysafflor yellow A(HYSA)on iNOS expression in rats following focal cerebral ischemia. Methods Rat cerebral ischemia-reperfusion injury was induced by middle cerebral artery occlusion. The expression levels of iNOS were examined using immunohistochemical method. The neurological outcome and the cerebral infarct area were evaluated. Results The expression levels of iNOS in HYSA groups were significantly lower than those in ischemic model group. Treatment with HYSA also decreased the cerebral infarct area and the neurological deficit score. Conclusion HYSA induced down regulation of iNOS expression, which may mediate the protective effect of HYSA on cerebral ischemia.
