Objective To investigate the correlation between the glycosylated hemoglobin (HbA1c) detection data and hemo‐rheological indicators in diabetes patients to provide reference basis for its treatment and prevention .Methods One hundred and forty‐two patients with typeⅡdiabetes mellitus(T2DM ) in the hospital were selected as the research subjects and divided into the A group(69 cases ,better control) and B group(73 cases ,poor control) according to the HbA1c detection results .Contemporaneous 70 healthy individuals undergoing physical examination were selected as the control (C group) .The detection results of HbA1c ,hemo‐rheology and biochemical indexes were performed the contrastive analysis .Results Except hematocrit and erythrocyte deformation index without statistical difference among 3 groups(P>0 .05) ,the other hemorheologic indicators had statistical differences among 3 groups(P<0 .05) .No matter the HbA1c level in T2DM patients ,the hemorheological indexes ,triglyceride and total cholesterol were higher than those in the healthy people ,When the HbA1c leve was poorly controlled ,the increase degresss of various indexes were more significant .Conclusion The abnormality of hemorheology indices exist in most of the patients with diabetes mellitus .It is recommended that clinic should monitor the HbA1c level for long term and strictly observe the change of hemorheology indexes to guide the clinical treatment for reaching the effects of early vascular protection and prevention of diabetic complications .

Thyroid hormones (TH) play an imp or tant role in the development and maturity of the mammalian brain. Maternal TH de ficiency, even subclinical hypothyroidism, leads to poor neurodevelopment of the fetus. Screening of pregnant women for hypothyroidism is recommended. Identific ation of the TH-responsive genes in the developing brain and investigation on t heir functions are helpful to provide insights into the molecular mechanisms by which TH influence brain development.

Thyroid-stimulating hormone receptor(TSHR)is an important autoantigen whose cleavage and shedding can induce autoimmunity.The TSHR is the main functional receptor of the thyroid.The shedding of the ? subunit plays an important role in the forming of TSAb and balancing between TSAb and TBAb.Research on the cleavage and shedding of the TSHR extracellualar domain helps to gain a deep insight into the structure and function of TSHR,illuminate the pathogenesis of autoimmune thyroid disease and find out a new therapy.The structure of TSHR,the mechanism and the significance of its cleavage and shedding are reviewed in this article.

This paper introduces the nursing care for 36 patients with framework exposure in auricular reconstruction by temporal superficial fascia flaps combining with split skin grafts transplantation,such as pre-and post-operative behavioral in-struction,psychological care,and close observation of blood circulation of reconstructed auricular. The patients' wounds healed up well and all the split skin grafts survived successfully. No infection and stent exposure occurred once more. The appear-ance of the reconstructed auricular was pleasing too. It is suggested that high quality of pre-and post-operative nursing,care-ful health education and psychological care be beneficial for the successful repair of framework exposure after auricular recon-struction.

Many flaviviruses are emerging and reemerging pathogens, such as West Nile virus (WNV), dengue virus (DENV), yellow fever virus (YFV), and Japanese encephalitis virus. Serological assay is the dominant method for diagnosis of flavivirus infections in human. Because antibodies generated during flavivirus infections cross-react with other flavivirus members, plaque reduction neutralization test (PRNT) is the only available assay to determine the infecting flavivirus type.Since PRNT requires culturing raw viruses, it must be performed in biosafety level-3 or level-4 containment for many flaviviruses, and takes more than ten days to complete. To overcome these problems, we have developed flavivirus viral-like particles (VLPs) that could be used to replace raw viruses in the neutralization assay. The VLPs were prepared by trans packaging a luciferase-reporting replicon with viral structural proteins. This novel assay involves three simple steps: (ⅰ) VLPs from a panel of flaviviruses are incubated with flavivirus-infected sera at 37℃ for 1 h; (ⅱ)the neutralized VLPs are used to infect Vero cells; and (ⅲ) the infected cells are measured for luciferase activities at 22 h post-infection. The virus type whose VLP is most efficiently neutralized by the serum specimen (as quantified by the luciferase activities) is the etiologic agent. As a proof-of-concept, we show that a WNV-infected mouse serum neutralized the WNV VLP more efficiently and selectively than the DENV and YFV VLPs. Our results demonstrate that the VLP neutralization assay maintains the "gold standard" of the classic PRNT; importantly, it shortens the assay time from ＞10 days to ＜1 day, and can be performed in biosafety level-2 facility.

Objective:To explore the therapeutic effect of comprehensive rehabilitation nursing on patients with cere-bral infarction (CI)complicated type 2 diabetes mellitus (T2DM).Methods:According to number table,a total of 118 CI + T2DM patients were randomly and equally divided into comprehensive nursing group and routine nursing group.Comprehensive nursing group received comprehensive nursing based on routine nursing.The evaluating inde-xes included fasting blood glucose (FBG)concentration,limb muscle strength recovery and score of activity of daily living of two groups before hospitalization and discharge.Results:Compared with routine treatment group before discharge,there was significant reduction [(7.9±4.2)mmol/L vs.(5.9±2.8)mmol/L]in FBG concentration in comprehensive nursing group;limb muscle strength recovery of comprehensive nursing group was significantly better than that of routine nursing group (≥ grade III,upper limb 83.1% vs.64.4%,lower limb 76.3% vs.55.9%);percentage of patients with activity of daily living score > 60 scores (33.9%)in comprehensive nursing group was significantly higher than that of routine nursing group (15.2%),P <0.05 all. Conclusion:Comprehensive rehabili-tation nursing could promote the rehabilitation of physical function in patients with cerebral infarction complicated type 2 diabetes mellitus.

Aim To explore the role of nicotinamide adenine dinucleotide phosphate ( NADPH ) oxidase in high glucose-induced injury in H9c2 cardiac cells. Methods H9 c2 cardiac cells were exposed to differ-ent concentrations of high glucose(5. 5 mmol·L-1 ,11 mmol · L-1 ,22 mmol · L-1 ,33 mmol · L-1 ,44 mmol ·L-1 , 55 mmol · L-1 ) for 24 h and different time pints of high glucose(0 h,12 h,24 h,36 h,48 h,72 h) . Cell viability was measured by MTT colorimetry, the protein expression of Bcl-2 , Bax and NADPH oxi-dase submits such as p22 phox , p47 phox and p67 phox were determined by western blotting. Results H9c2 cardi-ac cells exposure to high glucose for 24 h showed on decrease in cell survival and the Bcl-2 expression while an increase in the Bax expression ( P<0. 05 ) . Moreo-ver, high glucose could markedly up-regulate the activ-ity of NADPH oxidase characterized by the enhanced expression of p22 phox , p47 phox and p67 phox ( P<0. 05 ) . Conclusion Activating NADPH oxidase may play an important role in high glucose-induced injury in H9 c2 cells.
