Objective To explore the effect of Danggui shaoyao powder combined with Sanhuang lotion fumigation on serum TGF-β1,IL-4 and IL-10 in the treatment of chronic pelvic inflammatory disease.Methods 38 cases with chronic pelvic inflammatory disease were selected and divided into the control group (19 cases) and the experiment group(19 cases) according to the random number table.The control group were treated with Sanhuang lotion fumigation bath, the experiment group were treated on the basis of the control group with Danggui shaoyao powder, 10 days for a course of treatment, a total of two courses of treatment.The serum IL-4, IL-10, TGF-β1 and clinical efficacy were compared before and after treatmentbetweentwo groups.Results The total effective rate of the experiment group was 94.74%, which was higher than 84.21% of the control group(P<0.05).After treatment, the clinical symptom score in experiment group was lower than that in control group, the serum levels of IL-4 and TGF-β1 were lower than those in control group, the serum level of IL-10 was higher than that in control group (P<0.05).Conclusion Danggui shaoyao powder combined with Sanhuang lotion fumigation could decreases IL-4 and TGF-β1 levels, increase IL-10 level and improve the inflammatory state in the treatment of chronic pelvic inflammatory disease.

【Objective】To observe the effect of Yiyiren Gancao Tang (YGT) in preventing the recurrence of condylomaacuminatum (CA) after microwave therapy and to explore its influence on relative immunological indexes. 【Methods】Sixty-eight cases of CA were randomized into two groups: 34 cases (Group A) were treated with YGT and other 34 withplacebo decoction (Group B) after microwave therapy. The recurrence rate in the two groups were observed; seruminterleukin-2 (IL- 2) level and subtypes of T lymphocyte counting in peripheral blood were detected with double antibodysandwich immunoassay and rosette formation test before and after treatment.【Results】The recurrence rate was 20.5% inGroup A and 47.0% in Group B (P.05).【Conclusion】YGT can reduce the recurrence of CA, improve the immune function and is practical in clinics.

Objective To explore the difference between the diagnosis of osteoporosis based on the measured value of lumbar spine and hip bone mineral density in middle-aged and elder people in Chongqing .Methods Dual energy X-ray absorptiometry was used to measure of lumbar spine and hip bone mineral density to people over the age of 40 in 2 151 cases ,grouped according to age and gender .Results Both male and female lumbar spine and hip bone mineral density values decreased gradually with increasing age;the detection rate of osteoporosis of the male′s hip was higher than that of the lumbar spine among each age group ,which was of statistical significance(P<0 .05);the detection rate of osteoporosis of the female′s lumbar spine was higher than that of the hip among each age group ,which was of statistical significance (P<0 .05) .Conclusion As for elderly male ,the sensitive position for osteoporosis detection is the hip .However ,as for elderly female is the lumbar spine .In order to improve the detection rate of osteo-porosis ,joint detection of both two positions is well suggested .

Objective To observe the therapeutic effect of oral use and external application of Chinese herbal decoction for the treatment of recurrent condyloma acuminatum(RCA).Methods One hundred and twenty-eight RCA patients were divided into two groups by half randomization and single blind method.The treatment group(N=65) received oral use of Yiyiren Gancao Decoction and washing the lesion with self-made Xiaoyou Decoction once a day except the microwave radiation therapy.The control group(N=63) received microwave radiation therapy alone.One month constituted one treatment course.The recurrence of RCA in the two groups was investigated within 3 treatment courses and within 6 months of follow-up.Results In the treatment groups,there were 37(56.92%) recurrent patients during the 1st treatment course,25(38.46%) during the 2nd course,and 11(16.92%) during the 3rd course;in the control group,there were 52(82.54%) recurrent patients during the 1st treatment course,47(74.60%) during the 2nd course,and 36(57.14%) during the 3rd course.The recurrence rate in the treatment group was lower than that in the control group(P

Objective: To make an impersonal evaluation on the effect of TCM on main biochemical indexes of non-alcoholic fatty liver disease (NAFLD),including ALT,AST,GGT,TC,TG,and HDL-C.Methods: We searched all the randomized controlled trials (RCTs) of TCM for NAFLD from CBM, CNKI,and VIP (1999-2008).RevMan4.2 was used in the analysis. Results: 11 RCTs,including 1078 patients,met the inclusion criteria.All of the trials were not adequate in methodological quality. None of them was double-blinded trial.The result of analysis showed that compared with basic Western medicine,TCM could increase the content of HDL-C,reduce the content of ALT,AST,GGT,TC and TG.Conclusion: The present meta-analysis suggested that TCM was beneficial over Western medicine for NAFLD which indexes including ALT,AST,GGT,TC,TG,and HDL-C.But we can not make a final conclusion due to low quality of RCT.

Human colorectal cancer ( CRC ) presents a considerable disease burden worldwide.Besides the genetic factor, gut microbiota could be another important factor resulting in CRC and has become a hot research topic.Along with the increasing accessibility of high-throughput sequencing, the role of structure of microbiota and potential pathogens in colorectal carcinogenesis have become more and more clear.In this review, the recent insights into contributions of the microbiota and candidate CRC-potentiating species to CRC were discussed.Moreover, new findings on the role of candidate pathogens in cancer causation were highlighted.Two pathogenic models were introduced in this review.High-throughput sequencing of gut microbiota will assist us in understanding the pathogenesis of CRC, providing a theoretical basis for disease surveillance.

Enterovirus 71 (EV71) is one of the most important causes of hand-foot-mouth disease and herpangina.EV71,due to its neurotropic nature,can also cause severe complications of the central nervous system than other types of enterovirus.EV71 infection also causes devastating syndromes such as acute pulmonary edema,pulmonary hemorrhage and cardiopulmonary failure.In this review,clinical manifestations and the pathogenesis of central nervous system dysfunction after EV71 infection were described.

BackgroundOcular melanoma is a malignant tumor with a poor prognosis.To study its mode of pathogenesis and development is helpful for early diagnosis and treatment and improving prognosis. Objective This study was to analyze the location and pathological types of ocular melanoma,and explore the relationship of pathological types with prognosis of ocular malignant melanoma. Methods 110 clinical data and specimens of ocular melanoma were collected at West China Hospital,China.The specimens were examined by hematoxylin & eosin staining,immunochemistry and studying their ultrastructure.The growth location,histological classification,and their relationship with prognosis were analyzed and discussed.The clinicopathological records of the 1 l0 cases with ocular region malignant melanoma treated from January 1980 to December 2007 were analyzed.Results The primary locations of the tumors with respect to the tissue type were:66 cases in the uvea (60.00％ ),27 cases in the ocular surface tissue (24.55％),8 cases in the secondary lesion of orbit cavity (7.27％),7 cases on the eyelid skin (6.36％),and 2 cases in the lacrimal sac ( 1.82％ ).The neoplasm was classified according to pathological types:spindle-cell A type in 31 cases (28.18％ ),spindle-cell B type in 31 cases (28.18％),mixed-cell type in 25 cases (22.73％),epithelioid-cell type in 17 cases ( 15.46％ ) and other type in 6 cases (5.45％).The notability of diffusion or recurrence rate of the 5 pathological types showed statistical significance (x2 =14.463,P =0.006 ),and the rank in decending order was:other type,epithelioid-cell type,mixed-cell type,spindle-cell B type and spindle-cell A type.The clinical manifestations of ocular melanoma were dependent upon the lesion position without specificity.ConclusionsThe majority of the ocular malignant melanoma appears in the uvea and ocular surface tissue,and its common pathological types were spindle-cell type followed by mixed-cell type,epithelioid-cell type and other type.The highest recurrence rate is in other type of ocular malignant melanoma.Ophthalmologist should be aware of the clinical manifestation of ocular malignant melanoma.
