China Pharmacy 2016;27(18):2494-2496
OBJECTIVE:To observe the efficacy of capecitabine combined with cisplatin in the treatment of advanced gastric cancer and its effect on invasion and metastasis of gastric cancer. METHODS:94 patients with advanced gastric cancer were ran-domly divided into control group(47 cases)and observation group(47 cases). Control group received 65-75 mg/m2 Docetaxel injec-tion,d1,continuous intravenous infusion of 2 h+15-20 mg/m2 Cisplatin for injection,d1-5,continuous intravenous infusion of 2 h in the dark. Observation group received 1 000 mg/m2 Capecitabine tablet, orally, twice a day+Cisplatin for injection(the same us-age and dosage with control group). 3-week was regarded as a treatment course, and it lasted 3 courses. Clinical efficacy, matrix metalloproteinase-2(MMP-2)and MMP-9 levels were observed,6 and 12 months survival rate and incidence of adverse reactions were followed-up. RESULTS:There was no significant difference in the total effective rate in 2 groups(P>0.05). Grade 1-2 liver dysfunction, thrombocytopenia, and the incidence of nausea and vomiting in observation group were significantly lower than con-trol group,6 and 12 months survival rates were significantly higher than control group, the differences were statistically significant (P<0.05). Before treatment,There was no significant difference in MMP-2 and MMP-9 levels in 2 groups(P>0.05). After treat-ment,MMP-2 and MMP-9 levels in 2 groups were significantly lower than before, and observation group was lower than control group, the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05). CONCLUSIONS:The efficacy of capecitabine combined with cispla-tin is similar to docetaxel combined with cisplatin in the treatment of advanced gastric cancer, but docetaxel combined with cisplat-in is superior in terms of reducing MMP-2 and MMP-9 and safety.

5.Lupus nephritis patients complicated with infection during the therapy
Chinese Journal of Practical Internal Medicine 2001;0(06):-
Infection is a major complication in lupus nephritis patients, and also remains a major cause of morbidity and mortality in LN.The most common infected sites are respiratory tract, skin soft tissue, urinary system,et al.Immunological abnormity, use of glucocorticoid and immunosuppressive agents, renal insufficiency and hypoproteinemia are involved in the susceptibility of LN patients' infections.A wide variety of infectious pathogens are recognized in LN and bacterial infection is the most.Virus, fungi and tubercle bacillus also can be identified. The clinical manifestations of the infections are atypical, including fever, cough, headache, twitch, abnormity of spirit and action,et al and often confused with the multiplicity clinical manifestations of SLE activity. It is necessary to carry out clinical observation and pathogeny examination for diagnosis. All patients must receive effective anti-infective therapy in time, and adjust their glucocorticoid and immunosuppressive dosage. In order to avoid infection,it is necessary to strictly control the indication and dosage of glucocorticoid and immunosuppressers.

ObjectiveTo compare the therapeutic efficacies and adverse reactions of micro-invasive thread embedding with two types of materials in treating chronic facial paralysis.MethodTotally 186 patients with chronic facial paralysis were randomized into a catgut group and a PDS group, 93 cases in each group. For the two groups, Cuanzhu (BL2), Yuyao (EX-HN4), Taiyang (EX-HN5), Dicang (ST4), Jiache (ST6), Quanliao (SI18), Yingxiang (LI20), Qianzheng (Extra), Xiaguan (ST7), Fengchi(GB20), and bilateral Hegu (LI4) and Zusanli (ST36) were selected. The thread embedding treatment was given once every 10 d, 3 timesas a treatment course, successively for 2 courses. The therapeutic efficacy and adverse reactions were analyzed after 2 treatment courses. ResultThe Sunnybrook Facial Grading System scores were significantly increased after intervention in the two groups (P<0.05), while there was no significant difference in comparing the therapeutic efficacy between the two groups (P>0.05). There were no significant differences in comparing the adverse reactions including tenderness, nodules, and swelling right after thread embedding between the two types of materials (P>0.05); 10 d after thread embedding, the adverse reactions happened inthe catgut group were significantly more than that in the PDS group (P<0.05); 30 d after thread embedding treatment, the tenderness occurred more frequently in the catgut group compared to that in the PDS group; although the occurred frequency of nodules and swelling was comparatively low, the total frequency in the catgut group was significantly higher than that in the PDS group (P<0.01). There were no significant differences in comparing the adverse reactions between the two groups 60 d after treatment (P>0.05).Conclusion Acupoint thread embedding with PDS can help recover facial nerve function in chronic facial paralysis; as a thread embedding material, PDS thread produces a lower occurrence rate of adverse reactions, and thus it’s a kind excellent thread embedding material.
