Along with the ongoing updates and diversity in ventilator design and application, new standards of classification are proposed.Overview and technical analysis are given in illustrations focusing on the working principles of ventilators,in particular the three key components of conduit system(mixer, flow valve and exhalation valve),to provide helpful information for engineers or clinicians in relation to the design, maintenance and usage.

Objective To synthetically evaluate medical treatment outcomes of two operative methods on benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH),and to provide evidence for therapeutic regimen selection. Methods Prospective cohort study was applied.BPH patients were treated by two operative methods randomly,follow-up observations were carried out at 3 months,6 months, and 48 months after the treatment.IPSS and BPHQLS were adopted to evaluate prostate and quality of life of patients at different time. The weight coefficients of IPSS score, quality of life score and general hospitalization expense in the comprehensive evaluation were defined by the Delphi Method. Results The synthetic score of both groups showed ascending trend, comprehend evaluation of scores got after treatment for 3 months (OP group was 7.6±0.7,TURP group was 7.4±0.8),6 months(OP group was 6.9 ± 0.9,TURP group was 6.9 ± 1.1) showed no significant differences between two groups(P>0.05),curative effect of OP group was better than TURP group at 48 moths(OP group was 8.3±0.9 score,TURP group was 7.6± 0.8 score) (P<0.05).Conclusions The curative effect of OP group was better than TURP group at 48 months.

Objective To discuss the clinical features and related factors for the patients of lupus nephritis (LN) com-plicated with infection, and summarize relevant nursing intervention. Methods A retrospective analysis of clinical data for 231 hospitalized LN patients from June 2011 to June 2012 was completed and analyzed clinical features and related factors of 35 patients complicated with infection. Results The infection rate of LN patients was 15.2%. The most com-mon infections position was respiratory tract, followed by skin soft tissue and urinary system. Bacteria, viruses and fun-gi was the major pathogenic bacteria. The infection was associated with pathology classification, therapy and activity index. Conclusion LN patients are high-risk groups of infection, and strengthen the concept of sterile, strengthen en-vironmental management and health education can reduce the infection of LN patients in or out hospital.

Objective:To explore the application value of scenario simulation teaching combined with two-way evaluation in standardized training of pediatric nursing. Methods:A total of 34 trainees who received standardized training of pediatric nursing in The First Affiliated Hospital of Air Force Medical University from March 2018 to March 2019 were selected as the control group, and another 42 trainees from April 2019 to July 2020 were selected as the study group. The control group used traditional teaching, and the study group used scenario simulation teaching combined with two-way evaluation. Theoretical examination and scenario simulation exercise examination were used to assess the theoretical knowledge and clinical practice ability of the trainees, and questionnaire survey was used to evaluate the satisfaction of the trainees with the teaching effect. SPSS 22.0 was used for t-test. Results:The scores of theoretical examination[(95.12±6.24) vs. (91.05±5.12)] and scenario simulation exercise examination (nursing practice skill operation ability, ability to combine theory and practice, clinical thinking and judgment ability, emergency handling ability, communication ability, humanistic care and professional learning ability, and work attitude) of the trainees in the study group were higher than those in the control group, and the differences were statistically significant ( P<0.05). The satisfaction evaluation of the trainees in the study group with the teaching effect was higher than that in the control group, and the difference was statistically significant ( P<0.001). Conclusion:Scenario simulation teaching combined with two-way evaluation can improve the theoretical knowledge, clinical practice ability, and teaching satisfaction of pediatric nursing trainees.

Objective:To investigate the efficacy of endoscopic histoacryl injection in cirrhotic patients with newly-developed esophagogastric varices (EGV) who have previously undergone splenectomy combined with pericardial devascularization. Methods:From January 2015 to January 2020, 125 cirrhotic patients with EGV treated with endoscopic histoacryl injection at the Department of Gastroenterology, Jinling Hospital, Medical School of Nanjing University, were included in the retrospective analysis. There were 45 patients in the group of splenectomy combined with pericardial devascularization (splenectomy group for short) and 80 patients in the non-splenectomy group. The efficacy of endoscopic treatment, postoperative variceal improvement, rebleeding rate, and complications were analyzed between the two groups. Results:Endoscopic histoacryl injection was successfully completed in all 125 patients, and the median volume of histoacryl was 4.5 mL. The overall effective rate in splenectomy and non-splenectomy group was 80.0% (36/45) and 57.5% (46/80), respectively. The difference in the number of significantly effective, effective, and ineffective cases between the two groups was statistically significant (16, 20, 9 cases, and 20, 26, 34 cases, respectively, χ 2=6.469, P=0.039). Two and 14 patients developed rebleeding in the splenectomy group and non-splenectomy group, respectively; and the difference in the rebleeding rate between the two groups was statistically significant (4.4% VS 17.5%, Log-rank P=0.039). No patient died within 1 year in either group, and no serious complications such as ectopic embolism occurred. Conclusion:After splenectomy combined with pericardial devascularization in cirrhotic patients with EGV and hypersplenism, the application of histoacryl has better short-term efficacy and can significantly reduce the rebleeding rate compared with the non-splenectomy group.
