Objective To observe the behavioral and the histopathology changes and expression of NR2B subunit in spinal dorsal horn in chronic constriction injury (CCI) rats after pulsed radiofrequency (PRF). Methods Forty-eight adult Sprague-Dawley rats were randomly divided into Sham-Sham (SS), Sham-PRF (SP), CCI-Sham (CS) and CCI-PRF (CP) groups. The right sciatic nerves (SNs) of the CS and CP groups were ligated to create the CCI model. For the SS and SP groups, the right SNs were separated without ligation. The CP and SP groups accepted PRF at the ligation site 15 days after modeling, while the electrode was placed in rats in the SS and CS groups without elec-tricity. The hindpaw withdrawal threshold (HWT) was measured before and 3, 7, 11, 15 days after modeling, and 1, 3, 7, 11, 15 days after treatment. The right SNs at ligation sites were assessed with optical microscopic score 15 days after treatment, and the NR2B expression in the L4-6 spinal dorsal horn were determined with Western blotting. Results HWT was significantly shorter in the CS and CP groups than in the SS and SP groups after modeling, and was more in the CP group than in the CS group. Under the optical microscope, the axonal diame-ter and myelin sheath thickness increased in the CP group compared to those in the CS group (P<0.01), the NR2B expression was less in the CP group than in the CS group after treatment (F=10.769, P<0.05). Conclusion PRF may reduce hyperalgesia and repair damaged SNs in CCI-induced neuropathic pain, which may associate with inhibition of the NR2B subunit expression in spinal dorsal horn.

Objective To reveal the nature of the outcome evaluation reflected by event-related potentials in evaluation process. Methods 16 College students were required to make attribution about their performance during a task,event-related potentials were recorded by NeuroScan ERP and dipole source location analyzed by Curry4.6.Results ①The feedback-related potential (FRN) was elicited by the negative outcomes.②The amplitude of the FRN was larger on the condition of fail to attribute the responsibility (-6.24μV) than the contribution (-4.67μV),there was significantly statistical meaning(F(1,15)=26.42,P<0.001).③The overall FRN magnitudes were more negative-going at Fz(+7.55μV) than Fcz(-6.54μV),Cz(-5.20μV),CPz(-4.16μV) and Pz(-3.83 μV),there was significantly statistical meaning(F(2,8)=8.12,P<0.01).④Dipole source location analysis showed that the neural generator of FRN may be the anterior cingulated cortex (ACC)(Talairach coordinates:-16.3,-73.1,13.3;residual variance:1.98%).Conclusion The feedback-related potential (FRN) is sensitive to the negative outcome, and affected by the intensity levels of the expectation for the outcome.FRN may reflect a evaluation process that the actual outcome is unexpected and worse than the expectation.

Objective: To study the relationship between personality type and risky decision-making.Methods: By means of cluster sampling, 210 undergraduate students from military school were investigated with MBTI-G personality type scale and self-made decision-making scale. We randomly divided 210 undergraduate participants into two groups. The first group (N=109) received a positive format, the second (N=101) a negative format. Results:First, in positive framing, the results of analysis in dimensions of Sensing-Intuition and Thinking-Feeling revealed a significant relationship between option and personality types. In negative faming, the results of analysis in dimensions of personality types indicated that options appeared to be independent of the personality types. Second, the preferences for the risky option of the subjects scoring highly on Introversion, Sensing, Feeling and Perceiving were almost the same as that for the safe option in the positive framing, their preferences for the risky option were significantly more obvious than that for the safe option in the negative framing. Subjects scoring highly on Thinking and Judging were likely to prefer the risky option in both positive and negative framing, their preferences for the risky option were more distinct in the negative frame(?2=4.39,P=0.036;?2=10.47,P=0.001). The analyses in Extraversion and Intuition indicated that options appeared to be independent of the personality type. Conclusion: Personality type is related to decision-making behavior and is predictor of risk-taking.

AIM: To investigate the potential role of angiopoietin-2 in the rats model of lipopolysaccharide (LPS)-induced acute lung injury (ALI). METHODS: Wistar rats were randomly divided into four groups(n=10): control group; in LPS groups, rats were divided into three subgroups, treated with different dosage of LPS (2 mg/kg, 4 mg/kg and 8 mg/kg). ALI model was established by intravenous injection with LPS, while control group was with NS. The lung histopathology change was observed by HE stain. Western blot was used to measure the expression of Ang-2 in serum. RESULTS: Histologically, alveolar edema, hemorhag, and massive inflammatory cell, infiltration were observed in LPS groups, but not in control group. The pathological score in LPS groups were significantly higher than that in NS group. Compared with 2 mg/kg LPS group, the pathological score in 4 mg/kg LPS group was significantly higher. While the pathological score in 8 mg/kg LPS group was higher than those in other LPS groups. The expression of Ang-2 protein in plasma was significantly higher in LPS groups, but weak in control group. Compared with 2 mg/kg LPS group, the expression of Ang-2 protein in 4 mg/kg LPS group was significantly higher. While the expression of Ang-2 protein in 8 mg/kg LPS group was higher than those in other LPS groups. The expression of Ang-2 protein in plasma were significantly positively correlated with the pathological score (r=0.862, P<0.05). CONCLUSION: Ang-2 could participate the pathological course in the rats model of LPS-induced acute lung injury. The expression of Ang-2 protein in serum was significantly positively correlated with the extent lung injury.
