Objective: To observe the effects of taurine (Tau) on photoreceptor apoptosis and investigate the mechanism. Method: Seventy rats were randomly divided into control group (Cont) and 4% taurine supplementation group (Tau). The subjects were exposed to the cool white light (3000?200 lx)for 0, 1, 3, 6, 9, 12 or 24 h . The apoptotic index (AI) of photoreceptor was evaluated by TUNEL method. Objective To investigate the Shenmai injection for the inhibition of hepatic and renal toxicity and leukocyte disorder during chemoradiotherapy in the women with advanced breast cancer. Methods 58 cases of female breast cancer patients with stage Ⅳ were selected and randomly divided into 2 groups, 29 cases of each group, and patients were treated with 5-hydroxytryptamine (5-HT3) receptor antagonists and white blood cell growth hormone and other conventional therapy, the control group received gemcitabine plus cisplatin chemotherapy, 28d for 1 cycles, the treatment group received more with Shenmai injection, interval was 15d, 2 groups were treated for 3 cycles. Levels of peripheral blood T lymphocyte subsets, cytokine levels and liver and kidney function, quality of life and clinical efficacy were compared. Results Compared with before treatment, levels of CD3+, CD4+ and CD4+/CD8+ in control group decreased (P<0.05), levels of CD3+, CD4+ and CD4+/CD8+ in treatment group increased (P<0.05), levels of CD8+ decreased(P<0.05), levels of IFN-γ, IL-2 and TNF-α increased(P<0.05), levels of IL-6 decreased(P<0.05), scores of KPS increased(P<0.05), scores of FACT-B decreased(P<0.05), levels of ALT, AST, BUN increased(P<0.05), and levels of CCr, WBC counts decreased(P<0.05), and compared with the control group, levels of CD3+ , CD4+ and CD4+/CD8+ in the treatment group were higher(P<0.05), levels of CD8+ were lower(P<0.05), levels of IFN-γ, IL-2 and TNF-α were higher(P<0.05), levels of IL-6 were lower(P<0.05), and the total efficiency was higher(P<0.05), levels of ALT, AST, BUN were lower (P<0.05), and levels of CCr, WBC counts were higher (P<0.05). After treatment, the efficacy of treatment group was higher than that of control group(Z=-2.142,P=0.032<0.05). Conclusion Shenmai injection can improve the efficacy of radiotherapy and chemotherapy in patients with advanced breast cancer, and it can effectively inhibit the liver and kidney damage and leukocyte disorder.

Objective To establish the animal model of photochemical damage and investigate the protective effects and mechanism of taurine on the retina photochemical damage in rats. Methods Fifty rats were randomly divided into normal control group, light damage group and 4% taurine supplementation group. After 15 day cyclic light and 24-hour dark adaptation, the last two groups were exposed to (3000?200) lx transmitted by six cold white lights. After 24-hour exposure, the rats were stayed in darkness. The retinal morphology was detected through light and electron microscope and the retinal function was detected by Scot-ERG. The concentration of MDA and the activity level of SOD/GSH-px were measured. Results In light damage group, the a and b amplitude (Aa/Ab) were significantly decreased, but in taurine group, except the decreased Aa, others were of no significant changes. The retina inner and outer segments were swollen and in disorder after exposure, the outer nuclear layer got thinner than that of control. The mitochondria in light damage group was swollen, but in taurine group changes were less significant. After exposure, the concentration of MDA in retina was markedly increased in light damage group and the activity level of SOD/GSH-px were decreased, but in taurine group MDA slightly increased and SOD/GSH-px was up-regulated but of no significance. Conclusion Dietary supplementation with 4% taurine partially protected photoreceptor from degeneration, which might correlate with the antioxidation and inhibition of free radical character of taurine.

Objective To Investigate the value of HPV genotyping in diagnosis of cervical intraepithelial neoplasia(CIN).Methods From July 2012 to February 2013,200 women from Tianjin Medical University General Hospital and 244 women from Affiliated Hospital of the Chinese People's Armed Forces Logistics College were selected to be HPV genotyping test and thin liqid-based cytology test.Consequently,132 samples were performed colposcopy test and cervical biopsy.Results HPV prevalence was 26.4％ (117/444) in this study.The infection of one type HPV was more common.The top 5 of HPV types were HPV16,58,33,18,and 52.The top 5 of the risk for CIN Ⅱ and above followed HPV16,33,39,52 and 18.There was no significant difference between age and HPV positive rate (x2 =0.948,P ＞ 0.05).Multiple infection and cervical lesions rank correlation analysis(r =0.132,P ＞0.05).For CIN Ⅱ and above disease,cytology positive rate was 90％ (44/49),and HPV positive rate was 96％ (47/49) cytology combine HPV positive rate was 98％ (48/49,x2 =0.063,P ＞ 0.05).Conclusions HPV infection should increasing trends with age.Cytology test and HPV genotyping test had good consistency.The combination of them can improve the sensitivity for high-grade lesions.

OBJECTIVE To analyze resistance and detect plasmid-mediated AmpC genes in Klebsiella pneumoniae.METHODS The susceptibility of the K.pneumoniae to 13 antibiotics was tested by K-B method.Modified three-dimensional extract test was adopted to detect AmpC lactamases in K.pneumoniae.The genotypes of AmpC lactamases were determined by polymerase chain reaction and sequencing.RESULTS Among the 105 isolates,the rate of extended spectrum ?-lactamases(ESBLs) was 41.90%,the rate of AmpC ?-lactamases was 0.95% strains,and the rate of ESBLs and AmpC ?-lactamases was 2.86%.DNA sequence analysis conformed that AmpC lactamases positive isolates were DHA AmpC gene.The resistance rate to penicillins,cephalosporins,?-lactam/?-lactam inhibitors,monobactams,and fluoroquinolones was very high.The susceptibility rate to imipenem was 100.00%.CONCLUSIONS The plasmid-mediated AmpC gene is present in clinically isolated K.pneumoniae.The resistance can be transferred to homologous or different genera of bacteria.

OBJECTIVE To investigate the ?-lactamase genes in 4 kinds of nonfermenting Gram-negative bacilli isolated from the 98th Hospital of PLA. METHODS Sixty strains of Acinetobacter baumannii,30 strains of Pseudomonas aeruginosa,19 strains of Stenotrophomonas maltophilia,and 15 strains of Flavobacterium were isolated from hospitalized patients.Nine kinds of ?-lactamases genes of TEM,SHV,OXA,CTX-M,PER,VEB,IMP,VIM and GES were analyzed by PCR and verified by DNA sequencing. RESULTS In A.baumannii and(P.aeruginosa),the positive rates of gene of TEM were 100.0% and 66.7%,respectively.SHV gene was positive in 18 of 60 strains of A.baumannii tested,17 of which were SHV-12 subtype ESBLs.The other was a new SHV type ?-lactamase nominated SHV-48.OXA gene was positive in 1 of 30 strains of P.aeruginosa tested,it was an OXA-10 subtype ESBLs.But the rest of genes were all negative. CONCLUSIONS There exist 4 kinds of(?-lactamase) genes at least in nonfermenting Gram-negative bacilli including TEM-1,SHV-12,SHV-48,and(OXA-10.)

Objective To investigate the status quo and influencing factors of compassion fatigue among nurses in psychiatric hospitals. Methods The self-designed demographic questionnaire,compassion fatigue scale,occupation-al identity assessment scale and social support rating scale were employed to investigate 480 nurses in five psychi-atric hospitals from two provinces. Results The scores for each dimension in compassion fatigue scale were as fol-lows:compassion satisfaction(32.26±5.34),occupational burnout(27.67±4.34),and secondary traumatic stress(23.72± 4.41).Age,position,individual monthly income,health status,job satisfaction and occupational identity had significant influence on compassion satisfaction(F=19.351,P<0.001). Individual monthly income,health status,job satisfaction and occupational identity had significant influence on occupation burnout (F=35.705,P<0.001). Individual monthly income, personality and social support had significant influence on secondary traumatic stress(F=17.203,P<0.001). Conclusion Nurses in psychiatric hospitals had severe compassion fatigue and this status was influenced by multiple reasons. Nursing managers should pay great attention to nurses with low monthly income,poor health,low job satisfaction, weak social support and low occupational identity,and take effective measures to decrease compassion fatigue of nurses.

OBJECTIVE To investigate the antimicrobial-resistant genes and consanguinity in multi-resistant Pseudomonas aeruginosa(MRPA) isolated from the 98th Hospital of PLA,Huzhou,Zhejiang Province,China.METHODS Thirty strains of MRPA were isolated from hospitalized patients between Sep 2003 and Oct 2004.Twenty four kinds of genes of blaTEM,blaSHV,blaOXA-10 group,blaPER,blaVEB,blaIMP,blaVIM,blaGES,blaCARB,blaDHA,blaMIR,aac(3)-Ⅰ,aac(3)-Ⅱ,aac(3)-Ⅲ,aac(3)-Ⅳ,aac(6′)-Ⅰ,aac(6′)-Ⅱ,ant(3″)-Ⅰ,ant(2″)-Ⅰ,aph(3′)-Ⅵ,oprD,qacE△1-sul1,catB,and cml1 were analyzed by PCR and verified by DNA sequencing.Resistant-genes cluster analysis was performed by Average.RESULTS In 30 strains of MRPA the positive rate of genes of blaTEM,blaOXA-10 group,blaCARB,aac(3)-Ⅱ,aac(6′)-Ⅰ,aac(6′)-Ⅱ,ant(3″)-Ⅰ,ant(2″)-Ⅰ,qacE△1-sul1,and cml1 were 66.7%,3.3%,3.3%,76.7%,3.3%,33.3%,53.3%,26.7%,83.3%,and 3.3%,respectively,and the deficiency rate of oprD gene was 90.0%.The gene of blaOXA-10 group was sequenced and determined to be blaOXA-10 subtype ESBL gene.But the rest of genes were all negative.According to the cluster analysis of resistant-gene,30 strains of MRPA isolated could be classified into four subgroups,which were caused by the infection in hospital.CONCLUSIONS At least 10 kinds of antimicrobial-resistant genes exist in MRPA isolates,and the deficiency rate of oprD gene is very high.MRPA can induce clone transmitted hospital infection and it has fulminant prevalence.

OBJECTIVE To discuss the clinical traits and pathogenesis of uremic pneumonia for early diagnosis to avoid misdiagnosis and give effective treatment. METHODS The clinical manifestation,chest X-ray characteristics and treatment in 33 cases of uremic pneumonia patients were retrospectively analyzed. RESULTS In 33 cases of uremic pneumonia patients,27 cases had main respiratory symptoms such as cough,much phlegm and respiratory difficulties. The main signs of chest X-ray were pulmonary hemostasis,pulmonary interstitial edema,pulmonary alveolar edema and pleuritis. In 20 cases of receiving hemodialysis treatment,1 case was dead (5.00%). OBJECTIVE To investigate the antibiotics-resistant genes in enterococci isolated from the 98th Hospital of PLA,Huzhou,Zhejiang Province,China.METHODS The antibiotics-resistant genes of TEM,aac(6′)/aph(2″),aph(3′)-Ⅲ,ant(2″)-Ⅰ,ant(4′,4″),ant(6)-Ⅰ,ermB,mefA,tetM,vanA,and vanB were analyzed by polymerase chain reaction(PCR) and verified by DNA sequencing in the 15 isolates of Enterococcus faecalis and 9 isolates of E.faecium.RESULTS The positive rate of the resistance genes of TEM,aac(6′)/aph(2″),aph(3′)-Ⅲ,ant(2″)-Ⅰ,ant(4′,4″),ant(6)-Ⅰ,(ermB,) mefA,tetM,vanA,and vanB in the 24 strains of enterococci tested were 37.5%,70.8%,25.0%,0.0%,0.0%,41.7%,75.0%,0.0%,41.7%,4.2%,and 4.2%,(respectively.) CONCLUSIONS The multidrug resistance of enterococci was a serious issue,and harbored antibiotics-resistance genes were the very important reasons of resistance to antibiotics in enterococci.
