Korean Journal of Pathology 1994;28(5):514-521
Aqueductal forking was first described by Russell (l949) as a cause of aqueductal obstruction and a form of congenital malformation with simple stenosis, it is a relatively common cause of congenital hydrocephalus not associated with spina bifida or meningomyelocele. Pathologically it is characterized by two distinct channels separated by non-gliotic brain tissue. We describe variable clinicopathologic findings of 3 autopsy cases showing hydrocephaly due to aqueductal atresia with forking case 1 was a 35-week-old female showing Potter's syndrome, dextrocardia, and skeletal anomaly. case 2 was a 29-week-old male abortus with micrognathia, simian crease, club feet, and minor defects of visceral organs. Case 3 was a 32-week-old female abortus with associated anomalies such as a low-set ear, ectopic thymus and thyroid, and Meckel's diverticulum. On serial sections of brain stems of all 3 cases, were seen variably shaped and atretic lumina of aqueducts with distinct two channe1s and intervening brain tissues of normal cellularity.

Journal of the Korean Pediatric Society 1993;36(4):537-542
Although the incidence of tuberculosis in Korea in general has declined in recent years, it remains an importat health problem, especially in children. Inspite of the recent controversy over the necessity of tuberculin skin test prior to measles vaccination, this brief report shows 13.8% of positive skin test at 9 and 15 months of age at the time of measles vaccination. We feel, in Korea, practicing tuberculin skin test prior to measles vaccination is good way of detecting asymptomatic infection in young age who needs preventive therapy.

7.Heart failure with preserved ejection fraction: insights from recent clinical researches
The Korean Journal of Internal Medicine 2020;35(3):514-534
Heart failure (HF) with preserved ejection fraction (HFpEF) accounts for nearly half of the cases of HF and its incidence might be increasing with the aging society. Patients with HFpEF present with significant symptoms, including exercise intolerance, impaired quality of life, and have a poor prognosis as well as frequent hospitalization and increased mortality compared with HF with reduced ejection fraction. The concept of HFpEF is still evolving and may be a virtual complex rather than a real systemic disorder. Thus, beyond solely targeting cardiac abnormalities management strategies need to be extended, such as left ventricular diastolic dysfunction. In this review, we examine new diagnostic algorithms, pathophysiology, current management status, and ongoing trials based on heterogeneous pathophysiology and etiology in HFpEF.

Journal of the Korean Pediatric Society 1995;38(1):27-35
Since Dongboo City Hospital cares patients with medicaid and poor socio-economic status in large percentage, we analized all the newborns delivered at the hospital from 1984 to 1992 by their birth weights, gender, gestational age and their Medical Care System. We found our babies?mean birth weight was lower than National standard mean birth weight of 1975 and 1985 (published by KPA) and also lower than other reported studies. But the fact than mean birth weight has been increasing since 1990 is encouraging.

10.Hibernoma: A case report.

Korean Journal of Pathology 1988;22(3):353-355
Hibernoma is very rarely encountered and is expressed in the various names including "lipoma of brown fat", "fetal lipoma", and "lipoma of embryonic fat". In our knowledge, only about 50 cases have been reported in the literature of the Western world, and no case reports have been published in Korea. In May 1986, we experienced a case of hibernoma occuring in a 16 old years boy. On physical examination, a relatively well defined nodule was noted on the right scapular region. A total removal of the lesion was done under the clinical diagnosis of epidermal inclusion cyst. On gross examination, the specimen consists of three irregularly shaped portions of yellowish brown soft tissue, measuring up to 0.8 cm in greatest dimension. Microscopically, the tumor showed distinct lobular pattern separated by fibrovascular bands. The lobules were composed of multivacuolated or eosinophilic granular cells showing centrally located small unclei. A brief review of the literature was done.
