2.Imaging measurement-based unilateral puncture entry point and path for vertebroplasty

A total of 45 patients with indication of vertebroplasty using unilateral approach were detected by CT scanning,2D and 3D reconstruction methods to measure the angle between vertebral pedicle and 1/3 of median horizontal plane,distance from skin needle entry point to spinous process at the horizontal plane as well as the declination angle between vertebral pedicle and sagittal plane.The three-dimensional anterior-posterior perspecitive images of vertebra were reduced to identify the entry point.The measurement results showed significant changes in introversion angle at T4-L5:T4-T8 was 23.75?-25.34?,T9-L1 was 25.74?-26.83?,and L2-L5 was 27.45?-41.57?;but minimal changes in declination angle at sagittal plane,from 19.17? to 25.24?;the open distance adjacent to the spinous process was increased from thoracic vertebra to lumbar vertebra:T4-T8 was 2.56?-2.87?,T9-L1 was 3.05?-3.61?,L2-L5 was 3.89?-8.23?.The best vertebral puncture point reduction was located at 9-11 points of the left,1-3 point of the right.Imaging-based measurements of introversion angle,declination angle,entry point and distance of spinous process at the horizontal plane are important data for percutaneous vertebroplasty.According to pedicle shape features at different stages,included angle,puncture point,path and depth,the vertebroplasty could be performed accurately and safely with reduced damage.Moreover,reliable data are provided for the design of a three-dimensional puncture-oriented device.
3.Performance Research of Gray-scale Image Registration Algorithm in Radiotherapy

Objective To introduce the key issues of image registration in radiotherapy and study the performances of the three kinds of registry ways based on gray-scale registration, included mean-square measure, normalized correlation measure and mutual information measure. Methods After analysis of elements of the matching algorithm, the different registration algorithm performance are evaluated by the use of a comprehensive registration error based on C ++ to be realized, which can compare with the evaluation results of traditional target registration error. Results All three kinds of measure can both match accurately in plesiotype model images, which registration accuracy and speed in the standard of mutual information measure is more stable, integrated registration error is only half of the other two measures. Conclusion The comprehensive evaluation result by using registration error is more objective, the mutual information measure is better registration measure in radiotherapy.
4.Effect of Antiobesity Acupuncture on Body Fat Content, Bone Mineral Content and Lean Body Mass of Simple Obese Women

Objective To observe the changes of body fat content, bone mineral content and lean body weight before and after antiobesity acupuncture. Method Thirty seven cases of simple obese women were acupunctured by syndrome differentiation. Indicators related to obesity, body fat content, bone mineral content and lean body mass were measured and statistically analyzed before and after treatment. Results Acupuncture significantly improved objective indicators of obesity (BMI, waist, hip and arm circumference), reduced body fat content (whole body, upper limbs, torso), lowered lean body mass (body, upper and lower limbs), and had no effect on bone mineral content. Conclusion Acupuncture weight loss has no side effects of reducing bone mineral density, especially fits for patients with abdominal obesity (lipid-decrease and no lean-reduction on torso).
5.A review of studies on sero-sorting among HIV positive men who have sex with men

This article reviews studies regarding "sero-sorting" among MSM living with HIV/AIDS,for the purpose of analyzing its positive impact on reducing HIV incidence and promoting HIV testing and sero-status disclosure to sex partners. Contradictive issues in terms of implementing "sero-sorting" are also discussed in this article to provide some information for further conducting MSM related interventions in China.
6.Soybean isoflavone attenuates trans fatty acids-induced atherosclerosis in rats

Objective To observe the effects of soybean isoflavone in attenuating trans fatty acids-induced athero-sclerosis in rats .Methods The rats were randomly divided into normal diet group、trans fatty acids group、soybean isoflavone group and trans fatty acids +soybean isoflavone group .Research kit was used to test the amounts of TG , HDL,LDL and IL-6,TNF-αin rats'blood.Bovine aortic endothelial cells were cultured and divided into control group,trans fatty acids group and trans fatty acids group +soybean isoflavone group .Western blot was performed to test the NF-κB phosphorylation ,as well as to determine ICAM-1 and VCAM-1 protein contents in bovine aortic endo-thelial cells.Results Compared with normal diet group ,the amounts of TG,LDL,IL-6,TNF-αincreased evidently (P<0.05), whereas the amounts of HDL decreased evidently (P<0.05) in the rats'blood of trans fatty acids group . After the soybean isoflavone intervened ,the amounts of TG,LDL,IL-6,TNF-αall decreased (P<0.01), meanwhile the amounts of HDL increased significantly (P<0.01).Soybean isoflavone inhibited NF-κB phosphorylation induced by trans fatty acids ( P<0.01) .The high expression of ICAM-1 and VCAM-1 induced by trans fatty acids was de-creased by soybean isoflavone when comparing with those in the control group ( P<0.01 ) .Conclusions Soybean isoflavone has a role in attenuating trans fatty acids trans fatty acids-induced atherosclerosis in rats .
7.Application study of optical method in measuring wall thickness of dental impression.

Dental impressions are widely used in the field of oral restoration. The materials are used for making impression in oral cavity. In order to measure the thickness of impression for reference in clinic, the real impressions are taken as the object for studying. Through optical method, charge-coupled device (CCD) is used for collecting the grey image of cutting section of the impressions which are located in the same plane with steel dividing ruler. According to convert relationship between dividing ruler and pixels collecting grey image, the thickness of impression specimens can be obtained. The results show that the optical method used for measuring thickness is feasible to the task and the precision can reach micro dimension. The experiment method and technique can also be provided for measuring thickness of similar tissue engineering materials.

8.Facial Skin Image Quality Appraisal Based on BP Neural Network

Objective To appraise facial skin's quality conveniently and correctly.Methods The quality appraisal model for facial skin image was established based on improved BP nerve network algorithm,and the model was trained with the intrinsic pattern of the training sample,then the appraisal result was output after inputting indexes on the skin.Results For 23 sets of samples,the appraisal accuracy reached 95%.Conclusion The network model,with a high accuracy and a low error rate,is applicable to facial skin image quality appraisal.
9.Analysis on the Chinese disease control and prevention institutions` laboratory testing capacity

Objective: The objective of this study is to understand the construction of laboratory testing capacity of the Chinese Disease Control and Prevention institutions at all levels and to expound the problems and puts forward the related suggestions and countermeasures which can provide the basis for scientific and corresponding improvement of laboratory construction.Methods: The whole procedures were completed through descriptive epidemiological studies using SAS 9.2 Software and Excel 2010 for conducting statistical and trend analyses.Results: There is an increasing trend in the number and proportion of inspections in the disease control institutions at all levels in China.The number of disease control and prevention institutions` special testing laboratories increased significantly in 2012 and then the growth rate undergone a slow-down.The owning rate of equipped laboratory appliance rapidly rose in 2011 and started to level off after that.The average number of equipment in eastern region is greater than that drawn in the central and western regions.According to rate of compliance with the standard of basic laboratory projects, there is a trend in the provincial, district and county level disease control and prevention institutions where the eastern region comes first, followed by the central and then the western region closes the line.However, in general, this rate of those provincial level institutions show a state that the central region holds the highest rate, the eastern region comes second, and the western last.Conclusions: The qualities of health inspection personnel still need to be further improved in disease control and prevention institutions at all levels in the country.In the aspect of laboratory equipment possession rate, the provincial-level CDCs have greater and absolute advantage than the county-level and district level institutions.The testing projects of CDCs in the central and eastern regions of China have a relatively good level, while those tracked in the western region are relatively weak.In view of this, China should strengthen the support to western region in terms of human resource, equipment and funding.The provincial-level disease control and prevention institutions` laboratory testing and diagnosis projects are the best in balance and fairness.Improving the testing capacity is an effective approach to promote the development of disease control and prevention.Hence, the state should pay much attention to the laboratory construction works and management strategies and flows.
10.Exploration on improving medical immunology teaching effect
