Objective To observe the effect of Jiaotai Pills ( JP) on hypothalamic neurotransmitters of Orexin A and gamma-aminobutyric acid ( GABA) in rapid eye movement ( REM) sleep deprivation rats. Methods Rat model of REM-sleep deprivation was established by water small platform method. The rats were randomized into 6 groups, namely normal control group, model group, Diazepam group (3 mg/kg), and high-, medium-and low-dose JP groups ( JP in the dosage of 18.6, 9.3 and 4.6 g/kg respectively) . Enzyme-labeled instrument was used to detect the absorbance ratio of rat hypothalamic Orexin A content, and high performance liquid phase electrochemical detection method was adopted for the detection of hypothalamic GABA content. Results Compared with the normal control group, all of the rats in the model group suffered from insomnia, and the Orexin A content was increased ( P<0.05) . Compared with the model group, insomnia in rats of high-, medium- and low-dose JP groups was markedly relieved, and Orexin A was decreased (P<0.05) . The difference of GABA was insignificant between model group and JP groups (P>0.05) . Conclusion The sedative and hypnic mechanism of JP is probably related with the inhibition of hypothalamic Orexin A.

Objective To explore the expression plasma heat shock protein HSP90αand its clinical signifi-cance for lung cancer patients . Methods Plasma levels of HSP90α protein of 60 patients with lung cancer and 24 healthy individuals are detected by ELISA analysis . Results The average plasma levels of HSP90αprotein [(190.338 ± 105.861) ng/mL] in patients with lung cancer were significantly higher than in healthy con-trols [(41.020 ± 19.736) ng/mL, t = 10.480, P < 0.001]. The sensitivity of HSP90α is higher than CEA, NSE, CYFRA21-1. The sensitivity of HSP90α, CEA, NSE, CYFRA21-1 and STK1 is 100%. HSP90α is correlated with STK1 and metastasis (χ2 = 4.656, P = 0.031). Conclusions This study demonstrates that the plasma level of HSP90αprotein is a useful diagnostic biomarker in lung cancer. The sensitivity is much higher when HSP90αcom-bined with CEA, NSE, CYFRA21-1 and STK1.

Objective:To analyze the influence of midwifeled accompanyon the psychological status and delivery outcomes of gestational diabetes patients, and to provide reference for the implementation of clinical intervention programs for gestational diabetes patients. Methods:A semi-randomized controlled trial was adopted.Convenience sampling method was used to select 120 gestational diabetes patients admitted to Langfang People′s Hospital from March 2021 to September 2023, and they were divided into control group and experimental group according to the admission order. Both groups were given intraspinal delivery analgesia, while the control group was combined with routine midwifery management, and the experimental group was combined with a midwife led accompany. Intervention lasted until 2 h postpartum in both groups, and follow-up for 1 month. The delivery indicators, psychological status, delivery outcome and satisfaction of the two groups were compared. Results:Finally, 120 gestational diabetes patients were included, 60 patients in the control group, aged (28.73 ± 2.79) years, and 60 patients in the experimental group, aged (27.98 ± 1.09) years. The first and second stages of labor in the experimental group were (416.35 ± 29.87) and (60.95 ± 7.44) min, respectively, which were shorter than (501.33 ± 37.59) and (80.28 ± 8.95) min in the control group, and the differences were statistically significant ( t = 13.71, 12.87, both P<0.05). The blood glucose during delivery and 2 h postpartum hemorrhage was (6.81 ± 0.10) mmol/L and (236.18 ± 37.58) ml, respectively, lower than (7.48 ± 0.45) mmol/L and (325.70 ± 59.88) ml in the control group, the differences were statistically significant ( t = 11.26, 9.81, both P<0.05). After 1 month of follow-up, the scores of Self-rating Anxiety Scale and Self-rating Depression Scale of the experimental group were (30.86 ± 2.55) and (21.45 ± 2.67) points, which were lower than (42.19 ± 3.86) and (42.97 ± 3.15) points in the control group, and the scores of Psychological Resilience Scale were (71.22 ± 6.54) points, which was higher than that of the control group (55.38 ± 6.06) points, the differences were statistically significant ( t = 18.97, 40.37, 13.76, all P<0.05). After intervention, the incidence rates of lateral resection and postpartum hemorrhage in the experimental group were 28.3%(17/60) and 5.0%(3/60), respectively, lower than 48.3%(29/60) and 18.3%(11/60) in the control group, and the total satisfaction rate of the experimental group was 93.3%(56/60), higher than 80.0% (48/60) of the control group. The differences were statistically significant ( χ2 = 5.08, 5.18, 4.62, all P<0.05). Conclusions:The midwife led accompany could shorten the labor process of gestational diabetes patients, reduce their blood glucose during delivery and the amount of blood 2 h postpartum, and improve their psychological status and delivery outcomes, which was conducive to improving patient satisfaction.

OBJECTIVE: To investigate the morphological changes of coronary chronic total occlusion (CTO) as determined by coronary computed tomography angiography (CCTA) follow-up using semi-automated quantitative analysis. MATERIALS AND METHODS: Thirty patients with 31 CTO lesions confirmed by invasive coronary angiography and baseline/follow-up CCTA were retrospectively included. CTOs were quantitatively analyzed by a semi-automated coronary plaque analysis software (Coronary Plaque Analysis, version 2.0, Siemens) after manually determining the lesion border. Recanalized lumen was defined as the linear-like enhanced opacity traversing the non-opacified occluded segment. Other parameters, such as total occlusion length, total occlusion volume, volume with low attenuation component (< 30 Hounsfield unit [HU]), volume with middle to high attenuation component (30–190 HU) as well as the calcification volume, were also recorded. RESULTS: Recanalized lumen was found within 48.4% (15/31) occlusions on the follow-up CCTA, compared to 45.2% (14/31) occlusions on the baseline CCTA. Eleven of 14 lesions (78.6%) with CT-visible recanalized lumen within CTOs had a shorter occlusion length on follow-up compared to only 3 of 17 lesions (17.6%) without CT-visible recanalized lumen (odds ratio, 17.1, p < 0.001). The percentage of low attenuation component of occlusions was smaller on follow-up CCTA compared to baseline value (18.1 ± 20.1% vs. 22.6 ± 19.6%, p = 0.033). CONCLUSION: Coronary computed tomography angiography enables non-invasive characterization of natural progression of untreated CTO lesions. Recanalized lumen within CTOs observed at baseline CCTA was associated with shortening of occlusion length on follow-up. Compared to their earlier stage, occlusions of later stage were presented with higher density of non-calcified components.
