1.Treatment progress of children myopic amblyopia
International Eye Science 2015;(8):1370-1374
The treatment of myopic amblyopia and myopic anisometropic amblyopia is difficult and usually resultless and it has been the obstacle of amblyopic treatment. Corneal contact lens, corneal refractive surgery and phakic intraocular lens as new methods can significantly improve visual acuity of patients with high myopic amblopia and myopic anisometorpic ambyopia. For correcting myopia and myopic anisometropic amblyopia it provides a new method. This paper discusses the availibility and safty of above methods for the treatment of myopic amblyopia and myopic anisometropic amblyopia.
2.MedDRA and its applications in statistical analysis of adverse events.
Acta Pharmaceutica Sinica 2015;50(11):1396-1401
Safety assessment in clinical trials is dependent on an in-depth analysis of the adverse events to a great extent. However, there are difficulties in summary classification, data management and statistical analysis of the adverse events because of the different expressions on the same adverse events caused by regional, linguistic, ethnic, cultural and other differences. In order to ensure the normative expressions, it's necessary to standardize the terms in recording the adverse events. MedDRA (medical dictionary for regulatory activities) has been widely recommended and applied in the world as a powerful support for the adverse events reporting in clinical trials. In this paper, the development history, applicable scope, hierarchy structure, encoding term selection and standardized query strategies of the MedDRA is introduced. Furthermore, the practical process of adverse events encoding with MedDRA is proposed. Finally, the framework of statistical analysis about adverse events is discussed.

Journal of Peking University(Health Sciences) 2016;48(4):733-737
Objective:To establish a stable primary culture method of human gingival epithelial cells, with a higher successful rate and shorter culture time. Methods:Nine patients who received “crown-lengthening surgery”with relatively healthy periodontal conditions were selected (n =9).Gingival sam-ples were collected from the 9 donors during gingivectomy.Gingival epithelial cells were isolated and cul-tured by both an advanced enzyme digestion method and a tissue explant method. In the advanced enzyme digestion culture process,2.5 g/L DispaseⅡwas used to separate the epithelial tissue part from the con-nective tissue part, which lasted for one night. Then the epithelial tissues were digested by 0.025% tryp-sin without EDTA for 10 minutes, and centrifuged by keeping the digested epithelial tissues that re-mained.This advanced method not only decreased the concentration and digesting time of the two above-mentioned enzymes, but also simplified the centrifugel process. The tissue explant method was not changed too much compared with the original method.Growing processes of the primary cells cultured by the two methods were observed and recorded respectively, and indirect immunocytochemical staining was used to identify the type of cultured cells. At the same time, successful rates and cell culture time were also compared between the two methods. Results:Human gingival epithelial cells with typical morpholo-gy could be cultured within a shorter period by the advanced enzyme digestion method with a successful rate of 88.9%,and proliferated rapidly as sheets. After 10 -14 d cells could be passaged, gradually turned to be like fibroblasts when passaged to the third generation, and eventually went to apoptosis. The primary culture time was longer by using the tissue explant method, and approximately after 17 -22 d cells could be passaged, although the successful rate was the same as the enzyme digestion method.Cy-tokeratin staining was both positive by indirect immunocytochemical staining of cells.Conclusion:Pri-mary human gingival epithelial cells cultured by the advanced enzyme digestion method could grow faster and be passaged to the second generation successfully, which could supply a stable origin for cellular ex-periments.

Acta Anatomica Sinica 2002;0(05):-
Objective To investigate if the cell death in hippocampus can occur after single and kindled audiogenic seizure, and the pertinent mechanisms involved. Methods HE staining was used to show the distribution of the dead cells and the immunocytochemistry was used to show the expression of the apoptosis\|related proteins Bcl\|2 and Bax. Results After single audiogenic seizure, there were a few dead cells in hippocampus. After kindled seizure a lots of pyknotic, acidophilic cells were found in hippocampal CA\-1,CA\-2,CA\-4 subregions and the granular layer of dentate gyrus. The CA (corrected optic density) values of Bax immunoreactivities in CA\-2 and CA\-4 subregions were increased significantly in kindled rats, in contrast with that in control rats.Conclusions\ Audiogenic kindling can induce marked cell death in hippocampus.Apoptosis may be one of the mechanisms underling this kind of cell death.

0.05).The mRNA and protein expressions of survivin in cells transfected by 100-200nmol/L siRNA were significantly lower than those of untransfected cells(P0.05).Conclusion Silencing survivin gene by the RNAi technique can decrease effectively the expressions of survivin gene and protein, suppress significantly the growth and proliferation of A549 cells, and induce apoptosis of A549 cells. The inhibitory effect of RNAi is characterized by its specificity, high efficiency and durability. This may lay an experimental foundation for further study of gene therapy in lung cancer.

Acta Anatomica Sinica 1953;0(01):-
Objective To investigate the expression and distribution of STAT3 in the retina during the early development of postnatal hamster. Methods Immunocytochemical method and Western blot analysis were used. Results The expression of STAT3 was found in all layers of the retina in all newborn hamsters, most pronounced in the ganglion cell layer(GCL),the inner plexiform layer(IPL)and the inner area of neuroblastic layer(NBL).With the development, the STAT3 immunoreactivity was gradually restricted in the cytoplasm and the nucleus of the retinal ganglion cells. The result of the Western blot showed that the STAT3 was highly expressed in the first week of postnatal development and then reduced gradually till the lowest point in the adulthood. Conclusion The expression of STAT3 protein may be closely related to the early development of the retina in the postnatal hamster.
