Objective To observe the clinical effects of arthroscopic reconstruction for anterior cruciate ligament ( ACL ) tear using tension-relieving technique and enhanced recovery after surgery ( ERAS ) . Methods Between May 2014 and June 2016, 80 patients with ACL tear were randomly di-vided into 2 equal groups. The experimental group was treated with arthroscopic reconstruction using hamstring tendon autograft and tension-relieving technique followed by ERAS; the control group was treated with arthroscopic reconstruction using hamstring tendon autograft only followed by conventional postoperative re-covery. The 2 groups were compared in terms of knee flexion angles at postoperative 2nd, 4th and 8th weeks, and the IKDC ( International Knee Documentation Committee ) , HSS ( Hospital for Special Surgery ) , and Lysholm scores at postoperative 3rd, 6th and 12th months. Results The 80 patients obtained an average follow-up of 12. 3 ± 1. 7 months. Arthroscopy one year postoperation revealed fine ACL growth without laxity or other complications in the experimental group. Joint stiffness appeared in one case at 2 months postoperation and ACL laxity was observed in 3 cases by arthroscopy at 12 months postoperation in the control group. The knee flexion angles at postoperative 2nd, 4th and 8th weeks, and the IKDC, HSS and Lysholm scores at postoperative 3rd, 6th and 12th months in the experimental group were significantly better than those in the control group ( P <0. 05 ) . In both groups, the IKDC, HSS and Lysholm scores at postoperative 3rd, 6th and 12th months and the knee flexion angles at postoperative 2nd, 4th and 8th weeks were all significantly im-proved than the preoperative values ( P <0. 05 ) . Conclusion In arthroscopic reconstruction for ACL tear, tension-relieving technique combined with ERAS can promote functional recovery of the knee and reduce postoperative complications, facilitating early recovery of sports function.

OBJECTIVETo investigate the protein expression profiles of the major food-borne pathogen Campylobacter jejuni NCTC11168.

METHODSMembrane and soluble cellular proteins were extracted from the genome-sequenced C. jejuni strain NCTC11168. Protein expression profiles were determined using two-dimensional gel electrophoresis (2-DE). All the detected spots on the 2-DE map were subjected to matrix-assisted laser desorption/ionization time-of-flight mass spectrometry (MALDI-TOF/TOF) analysis.

RESULTSA total of 537 and 333 spots were detected from the whole cell and membrane-associated proteins of C. jejuni NCTC11168 cultured on Columbia agar medium at 42 °C by 2-DE and Coomassie Brilliant Blue staining, respectively. Analyses of whole cell and membrane-associated proteins included 399 and 133 spots, respectively, which included 182 and 53 functional proteins identified by MALDI-TOF/TOF analysis.

CONCLUSIONThe comprehensive expression protein profiles of C. jeuni NCTC11168 obtained in this study will be useful for elucidating the roles of these proteins in further pathogenesis investigation.

Depression is a common emotional disease，causing a heavy burden of disease on patients' families and society.Its pathogenesis is not yet fully understood，andmay be related to inflammation，neurotransmitters，neurotrophicfactors，hippocampal neuronal synaptic plasticity，oxidative stress，etc.Clinical application of Western medicine to treat depression has serious side effects，poor patient compliance，the effective rate is not high，rebound after withdrawal，etc.Traditional Chinese medicine treatment of depression has the characteristics of low side effects and high patient compliance. Depression belongs to the category of depression syndromein traditional Chinese medicine.Traditional Chinese medicine believes that the main symptoms of depression include depressed liver Qi，stagnated Qi transforming into fire，deficiency in heart and spleen，deficiency in heart and lung，stagnation of phlegm and Qi，deficiency of liver and kidney，etc. Banxia Houpu Tang is a classic recipe contained in"Synopsis of the Golden Chamber" by Zhang Zhongjing in the Han Dynasty， it has the effect of treating depression syndrome of stagnation of phlegm and Qi.By searching the literatures of Banxia Houpu Tang in the treatment of depression in Chinese knowledge network database （CNKI），Chinese biomedical literature database （CBM）， Wanfang Data， Pubmed， Embase， Web of Science and other databases，we found that both clinical application and experimental research suggest that Banxia Houpu Tang has a significant antidepressant effect. Clinical studies have shown that Banxia Houpu Tang can improve the scores of anxiety scales and depression scales of patients with depression. The antidepressant effect is significant， and the advantages are prominent. Experimental research shows that the antidepressant effect of Banxia Houpu Tang and its effective components may be related to the factors such as intervention of inflammatory response， influence of neurotransmitters， regulation of neurotrophic factors， improvement of synaptic plasticity of hippocampal neurons and reduce oxidative stress，etc. Therefore，this paper reviews several types of depression in the clinical treatment of Banxia Houpu Tang and the related experimental studies of Banxia Houpu Tang.

Data mining is an important method to obtain the key information from a large amount of data, and it is widely applied in the research on the modernization of traditional Chinese medicine(TCM). The compatibility law of herbs is a key issue in the research of TCM prescriptions. This reflects the flexibility and effectiveness of TCM prescriptions, and it is also a crucial link to the development of TCM modernization. Therefore, it is the core purpose of the research on TCM prescriptions to find the compatibility law of herbs and clarify the scientific connotation. Data mining, as an effective method and an important approach, has formed a standardized system in the research of compatibility law of herbs, which can reveal the relationship between different Chinese herbs and summarize the internal rules in compatibility. Two hundred and twenty two effective papers were sorted out and categorized in this article. The results showed that data mining was mainly applied in finding the core Chinese herb pairs, summarizing the utility and attributes of TCM prescriptions, revealing the relationship between prescriptions, Chinese herbs and syndromes, finding the optimal dose of Chinese herbs, and producing the new prescriptions. The problems of data mining in research of herbs compatibility rules were summarized, and its development and trend in current researches were discussed in this article to provide useful references for the in-depth study of data mining in the compatibility law of Chinese herbs.

OBJECTIVEIn mid-July 2005, five patients presented with septic shock to a hospital in Ziyang city in Sichuan, China, to identify the etiology of the unknown reason disease, an epidemiological, clinical, and laboratory study were conducted.

METHODSAn enhanced surveillance program were established in Sichuan, the following activities were introduced: active case finding in Sichuan of (a) laboratory diagnosed Streptococcus suis infection and (b) clinically diagnosed probable cases with exposure history; supplemented by (c) monitoring reports on meningococcal meningitis. Streptococcus suis serotype 2 infection was confirmed by culture and biochemical reactions, followed by sequencing for specific genes for serotype and virulence factors.

RESULTSFrom June 10 to August 21, 2005, 68 laboratory confirmed cases of human Streptococcus suis infections were reported. All were villagers who gave a history of direct exposure to deceased or sick pigs in their backyards where slaughtering was performed. Twenty six (38%) presented with toxic shock syndrome of which 15 (58%) died. Other presentations were septicaemia or meningitis. All isolates were tested positive for genes for tuf, species-specific 16S rRNA, cps2J, mrp, ef and sly. There were 136 clinically diagnosed probable cases with similar exposure history but incomplete laboratory investigations.

CONCLUSIONAn outbreak of human Streptococcus suis serotype 2 infections occurred in villagers after direct exposure to deceased or sick pigs in Sichuan. Prohibition of slaughtering in backyards brought the outbreak to a halt. A virulent strain of the bacteria is speculated to be in circulation, and is responsible for the unusual presentation of toxic shock syndrome with high case fatality.

Objective:To systematically evaluate the efficacy of oral Chinese herbal prescriptions combined with transcatheter arterial chemoembolization （TACE） against primary hepatic carcinoma （PHC） and screen the basic Chinese herbs，in order to provide certain reference for clinical medication. Method:The randomized controlled trials concerning the treatment of PHC with oral Chinese herbal prescriptions plus TACE were retrieved from CBM，China National Knowledge Infrastructure （CNKI），Chongqing Weipu Database for Chinese Technical Periodicals （VIP），and Wanfang Data Knowledge Service Platform.The quality of the included trials was evaluated by Cochrane handbook，and the Meta-analysis was performed using RevMan 5.3.The enumeration data were expressed by odds ratio （OR），the measurement data by mean difference （MD） or standardized mean difference （SMD），and the effect size by 95% confidence interval （CI）.The data of oral Chinese herbal prescriptions involved in trials were sorted out and subjected to association rule analysis and frequency analysis based on the Traditional Chinese Medicine Inheritance Support System （TCMISS），for exploring the basic Chinese herbs and their dosages against PHC. Result:A total of 75 randomized controlled trials were included，involving 7 406 cases. As revealed by the Meta-analysis，oral Chinese herbal prescriptions combined with TACE was significantly better than TACE alone in improving the short-term curative effect ［OR=2.05，95%CI（1.83，2.29）］，decreasing alpha fetoprotein （AFP） ［MD=-59.02，95%CI（-79.03，-39.01）］，ameliorating liver function ［SMD=-1.23，95%CI（-1.58，-0.88）］，boosting immunity ［SMD=1.08，95%CI（0.84，1.32）］，adjusting Karnofsky Performance Status （KPS） scale score ［OR=2.7，95%CI（1.11，11.02）］，elevating survival rate ［OR=2.31，95%CI（1.96，2.71）］，and reducing adverse reactions ［OR=0.38，95%CI（0.34，0.43）］.Data mining results showed that the basic Chinese herbs against PHC were Bupleuri Radix，Paeoniae Alba Radix，Atractylodis Macrocephalae Rhizoma，Poria，and Glycyrrhizae Radix et Rhizoma，with their clinical dosages listed as follows：6-15 g for Bupleuri Radix，10-15 g for Paeoniae Alba Radix，9-15 g for Atractylodis Macrocephalae Rhizoma，10-15 g for Poria，and 3-10 g for Glycyrrhizae Radix et Rhizoma. Conclusion:The oral Chinese herbal prescriptions combined with TACE produce better effects in treatment of PHC as compared with TACE alone.These five basic Chinese herbs have anti-cancer effect，and their dosages are within the ranges stipulated in 2020 edition of Chinese Pharmacopoeia.This Meta-analysis has provided certain reference for clinical medication.

Objective:To observe the effect of Zuoguiwan on bone metabolism and Wnt/β-catenin signaling pathway in ovariectomized osteoporotic rats model， and to explore the molecular biological mechanism of Zuoguiwan in the prevention and treatment of osteoporosis. Method:The rat model of postmenopausal osteoporosis was established by bilateral ovariectomy， 60 female SD rats were randomly divided into sham operation group， model group， positive group （estradiol valerate tablet 0.05 mg·kg^-1·d^-1） and low， middle and high dose groups of Zuoguiwan （5.5，11，22 g·kg^-1·d^-1）.After successful establishment of the model in the 13^th week， intragastric administration （ig） was given once a day for a total of 12 weeks. After administration， the histomorphological changes of femur in rats were observed by hematoxylin-eosin （HE） staining， the bone mineral density （BMD） and bone mineral content（BMC） of femur were measured by dual energy X-ray apparatus， and the biomechanical properties of bone were measured by MTS Acumen3 biomechanical testing system. The contents of bone alkaline phosphatase （BALP）， bone glaprotein（BGP），estradiol （E₂） ，and tartrate-resistant acid phosphatase （TRAP）， type Ⅰ procollagen N-terminal propeptide （PINP） in serum were detected by enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay （ELISA）. Western blot was used to detect the protein level of Wnt2，β-catenin，low density lipoprotein related receptor protein 5 （LRP5） and the phosphorylation level of glycogen synthase kinase-3β（GSK-3β） in rat tibia. Result:Compared with sham operation group， the maximum load and stiffness of BMD，BMC， in the model group decreased significantly（P<0.01）， the contents of E₂ and PINP in serum decreased significantly（P<0.01）， the content of BALP，BGP，TRAP increased significantly（P<0.01）， the expression levels of Wnt2，p-GSK-3β Ser9，LRP5 and β-catenin protein in bone tissue decreased significantly（P<0.01）， the trabecula of femur became thinner and thinner， the number of bone trabeculae decreased. Compared with model group， the maximum load and stiffness of BMD，BMC， in estradiol group and Zuoguiwan group were significantly increased （P<0.05，P<0.01）， the contents of serum E₂ and PINP were significantly increased （P<0.05，P<0.01）， the content of BALP，BGP，TRAP was significantly decreased （P<0.01）， and the expression level of Wnt2，p-GSK-3β Ser9，LRP5， β-catenin protein in bone tissue was significantly increased （P<0.05，P<0.01） ， the trabeculae of femur became thicker， the number increased， the structure was basically clear. Conclusion:Zuoguiwan has a certain preventive and therapeutic effect on osteoporosis in ovariectomized rats， and its mechanism may be related to increasing the level of estrogen， activating Wnt/β-catenin signaling pathway， up-regulating the expression of Wnt2 and LRP5 protein， inhibiting the activity of GSK-3β， reducing the degradation of β-catenin， coordinating the dynamic coupling balance between bone formation and bone resorption， correcting the disorder of bone metabolism and improving bone morphology.
