AlM: To observe the differences of central cornea thickness, anterior chamber depth, corneal anterior curvature and corneal posterior curvature between the Kazak and the Han nationality college emmetropia students, and analyze the relationship of corneal thickness and corneal curvature.?METHODS: More than 500 students in grade one in Xinjiang Medical University for screening, selected 55 emmetropia eyes in Han nationality students and 51 in Kazak students. Sirius corneal topography was applied to the measurement.? RESULTS: Kazak and the Han nationality college emmetropia students' central cornea thickness ( Kazak:0. 52± 0. 03mm, Han:0. 54 ± 0. 03mm), anterior chamber depth (Kazak:2. 97 ± 0. 31mm, Han: 3. 14 ± 0. 25mm) had significant difference (P<0. 05). Corneal anterior curvature and corneal posterior curvature were no significant difference (P>0. 05). Han had no significant relationship in corneal thickness and corneal anterior curvature (r<0), or in corneal posterior curvature ( r < 0. 1 ) . Kazak had no significant relationship in corneal thickness and corneal anterior curvature (r<0), or in corneal posterior curvature(r<0. 1).? CONCLUSlON: There are significant differences between the Kazak and the Han nationality college emmetropia students in cornea thickness, anterior chamber depth. There is no significant relationship between corneal thickness and corneal curvature (K1, K2) in Kazak and the Han nationality college emmetropia students.

Objective To discuss the protective effect of doxofylline on radical surgery for esophageal cancer.Methods Under elective general anesthesia, 60 cases, 35 males and 25 females, aged 45-70 years, BMI 20-30 kg/m2, ASA physical status Ⅰ or Ⅱ, FEV1%>50%, underwent radical surgery for esophageal cancer at middle and distal parts.Random number table was employed to divide these patients into two groups: doxofylline group (group D) and control group (group C) with 30 cases in each.After a routing intravenous induction in the two groups, mechanical ventilation was conducted after bronchial intubation with double channel catheter on the right side.The intravenous injection of doxofylline 4 mg/kg in group D was administrated 30 min after bronchial intubation with double channel catheter.Equal normal saline was instilled to the patients in group C.Blood samples were taken from radial artery to detect the levels of TNF-α, IL-6, IL-10, MDA and SOD at four time points: 10 min (T0) before the one-lung ventilation, 60 min after OLV (T1), after two-lung ventilation (T2) and the end of the operation (T3).Meanwhile, the blood and breath at these time points were tested.The occurrence of OLV, blood loss volumes, fluid input quantities, urine volumes, postoperative hyoxemia and pulmonary inflammation were observed.Results Compared with T0, the activity of SOD in serum and PaO2 in the two groups at T1-T3 decreased (P＜0.05).The concentrations of TNF-α, IL-6, IL-10 and MDA increased significantly (P＜0.05).Compared with group C, the activity of SOD activities and PaO2 in group D at T1-T3 increased while concentrations of TNF-α, IL-6, IL-10 and MDA decreased significantly (P＜0.05).The occurrence rates of postoperative hyoxemia and pulmonary inflammation in group D were obviously lower than those in group C (P＜0.05).Conclusion Doxofylline can suppress patients' inflammatory response and oxidative stress response after OLV and reduce the incidence rates of postoperative hyoxemia and pulmonary inflammation as well as alleviate lung injury triggered by radical surgery for esophageal cancer.

Objective To investigate the effects of antioxidant response element (ARE) activator- 5,6-dihydrocyclopenta[ C ]-1,2-dithiole-3-thione (CPDT) on organotypic spinal cord cultures and to study whether this activation can protect motor neurons from oxidative stress.Methods Organotypic spinal cord cultures were prepared using lumbar spinal cord slices from 8-day-old rat.Threo-hydroxyaspartate (THA) was continuously added into the culture medium for 3 weeks,which caused selective motor neuron death. The theoretical basis of the alcohol precipitation process control was provided, the alcohol precipitation was optimized and the relationship equation was got. The monod glycoside, loganin and paeoniflorin were used as the evaluation indexes to determine the impact factors of alcohol precipitation techniques of Liuwei Dihuang decoction by the Plackett-Burman experimental design and the levels of non-significant factors were identified. Then, Box-Behnken response surface methodology was used to research and discuss the critical process parameters influence the effect of alcohol precipitation and draw interaction between key process parameters and the correlation equation with index components. OBJECTIVETo investigate the effect of different pH on rectum permeability of chlorogenic acid and geniposide.

METHODFour kinds of Reduning suppositories of different pH were separated and put into the rectum to study the suppositories in vitro and the content of chlorogenic acid and geniposide samples was determined by HPLC to calculate the permeation in 24 hours.

RESULTWith increase of pH within 2.5-7.4, the steady state flux of chlorogenic acid was increased, but the steady state flux of geniposidesamples was steady.

Background Presbyopia is one of primary causes affecting the visual and life qualities of the agings,and its mechanism is associated with the oxidative damage of lens epithelial cells with ageing.SS31 is a mitochondria-targeted antioxidant peptide.To study the effect of SS31 on oxidative damage of lens epithelial cells has an important significance for the prevention and treatment of presbyopia.Objective This study was to investigate the effect of SS31 on in vitro oxidative damaged human lens epithelial cells.Methods Human lens epithelial cell line (HLEB-3) was cultured using DMEM with low glucose and 10％ fetal bovine serum(FBS).The cell model of oxidative damage was established by adding 200 μmol/L tea-butyl hydropeoxide (t-BHP) into DMEM for 18 hours.The cells were divided into blank control group,t-BHP model group,10 nmol/L SS31 +t-BHP group,100 nmol/L SS31 +t-BHP group,1 μmol/L SS31 +t-BHP group,10 μmol/L SS31 +t-BHP group and 100 pμmol/L t-BHP group,and then MTT assay was used to detect the survival rate of the cells and evaluate the optimal SS31 concentration for sequential study.The cells then were divided into blank control group,t-BHP model group and 1 μmol/L SS31 +t-BHP co-culture group.The change of mitochondrial membrane potential of the cells was tested by JC-1 dye and flow cytometry.Reactive oxygen species (ROS) level in the mitochondria was determined using MitoSOX staining.Results The cell survival rate in the t-BHP model group was (53.42±2.52)％,and that in the blank control group was 100％.The cell survival rate was considerably increased in various concentrations of SS31 groups,showing a significant difference among different groups (F=58.349,P＜0.01).A highest survival rate was (82.13 ±3.15) ％ in the 1 μmol/L SS31 +t-BHP co-culture group,which was statistically significant in comparison with the t-BHP model group (t =28.710,P＜0.05).JC-1 dye and flow cytometry assay showed that the ratio between red and green fluorescence intensity was 7.07 ±0.06 in the blank control group,4.46±0.14 in the t-BHP model group and 5.76±0.26 in the 1 μmol/L SS31 +tBHP co-culture group,showing significant difference among the 3 groups (F=172.332,P＜0.01).The ratios between red and green fluorescence intensity in the blank control group and 1 μmol/L SS31 +t-BHP co-culture group were higher than that in the t-BHP model (t =2.609,1.303,both at P＜0.001).ROS fluorescence cells were much more in the t-BHP model group compared with blank control group and 1 μmol/L SS31 + t-BHP co-culture group.Conclusions SS31 can protect HLEB-3 cells from oxidative stress.SS31 may serve as a potential new approach to the treatment of presbyopia and other age-related diseases of lens.

This paper is aim to investigate the pharmacokinetics and absolute bioavailability of neoline in Beagle dogs, and provide a theoretical basis for further study. Ethyl acetate was used for liquid-liquid extracting after 10% ammonia alkalizing. The method of UPLC-Q-TOF-MS was established for the determination of neoline plasma concentrations. Beagle dogs were orally or intravenously administered with neoline for pharmacokinetic and absolute bioavailability study. Good linear relationship of neoline was found over the range of 0.1-4 mg x L(-1) (R2 = 0.9982) and 2-100 microg x L(-1) (R2 = 0.9945). Intra-and inter-day precision, expressed as the relativestandard (RSD) were less than 5.0%. Accuracy, expressed as the relative error (RE) was within 90.0%-115%. The recovery of neoline in dog plasma was more than 80%. After 6 mg x kg(-1) for ig and 1 mg x kg(-1) for iv administration of neoline, the main pharmacokinetic parameters were analyzed with Winnonlin software. t(1/2) were (313.88 +/- 63.18), (236.33 +/- 229.84) min, and AUC(0-infinity) were (58,027.40 +/- 14,132.69), (473,578.02 +/- 82,333.08) min x microg x L(-1) for ig and iv administration respectively. The absolute bioavail ability was (73.15 +/- 10.29) %. The method of UPLC-Q-TOF-MS described in the report was sensitive, reliable and specific, and suitable for pharmacokinetic study of neoline in Beagle dog. The high absolute bioavailability of neoline in dog suggested good absorption of neline which was worth of further investigation.

Objective: To investigate the prevalence of scoliosis and identify the influencing factors among children and adolescents in Jiaxing City, Zhejiang Province, so as to provide insights into the management of scoliosis among children and adolescents. Methods: The fourth, fifth and sixth grade primary school students and the first, second and third grade junior high school students were selected using the stratified cluster sampling method in Jiaxing City in 2019. Students' demographic features, diet habits, physical activity and learning environments and habits were collected using questionnaire surveys. Scoliosis was screened using whole-spine X-ray scans in an upright position, and the factors affecting scoliosis were identified using multivariable logistic regression analysis. Results: Valid surveys were completed among 2 568 students, including 1 352 boys ( 52.65% ) and 1 216 girls ( 47.35% ), and there were 1 335 primary school students ( 51.99% ) and 1 233 junior high school students ( 48.01% ). A total of 93 students were detected with scoliosis, with a prevalence rate of 3.62%. Multivariable logistic regression analysis identified age ( OR=0.826, 95%CI: 0.710-0.960 ), gender ( OR=2.079, 95%CI: 1.343-3.221 ) and vigorous physical activity in the past 7 days ( OR=2.514, 95%CI: 1.248-5.063 ) as factors affecting scoliosis among primary and junior high school students. Conclusions The prevalence of scoliosis is high among primary and junior high school students in Jiaxing City. Age, gender and physical activity may affect the risk of scoliosis. Objective: To explore the influencing factors for the primary and secondary school students with abnormal angle of trunk rotation for the prevention. Methods: The students of Grade Four to Nine in Jiashan County of Zhejiang Province were selected by cluster sampling method. A self-designed questionnaire was used to collect social demographic data, diet behaviors, physical activities, reading and writing habits. The angle of trunk rotation was measured by scoliometer. Logistic regression model was used to investigate the influencing factors for abnormal angle of trunk rotation. Results: This study included 2 942 schoolchildren, with 1 582 ( 53.78% ) boys and 1 360 ( 46.23% ) girls. The incidence rate of abnormal angle of trunk rotation was 7.82%. The incidence rate of abnormal angle of trunk rotation in girls was 10.74%, which was higher than 5.31% in boys ( P<0.05 ). Grade ( OR=1.485, 95%CI: 1.058-2.085 ), gender ( OR=2.084, 95%CI: 1.536-2.828 ), frequency of eating fresh vegetables in the past week ( OR=0.749, 95%CI: 0.633-0.887 ) and watching electronic screen in the dark ( OR=1.188, 95%CI: 1.002-1.408 ) were the influencing factors for abnormal angle of trunk rotation in primary and secondary school students. Grade ( OR=2.664, 95%CI: 1.481-4.791 ) and watching electronic screen in the dark ( OR=1.325, 95%CI: 1.030-1.704 ) were influencing factors for abnormal angle of trunk rotation in boys. Frequency of eating fresh vegetables in the past week ( OR=0.714, 95%CI: 0.574-0.887 ) and uncorrected eyesight less than 5.0 ( OR=1.795, 95%CI: 1.164-2.767 ) were influencing factors for abnormal angle of trunk rotation in girls. Conclusion The abnormal angle of trunk rotation in primary and secondary school students is related to gender, grade, reading and writing behaviors as well as diets; and the influencing factors are different in male and female students.
