In China, most patients with non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC) were diagnosed with advanced or metastatic disease on first admission. These patients were treated by chemotherapy, radiotherapy, or targeted therapy. However, the 5-year overall survival rate is still low. Immunocheckpoint blockades adjust the immune function, dispatch immune escape, enhance T cell activation, and kill tumor cells. Immunocheckpoint blockade becomes one of the important methods of anti-tumor treatments. This approach may also change the model of NSCLC treatment because of its promising anti-tumor activity. This review summarizes the clinical trials on immu-nocheckpoint blockades in NSCLC and the possibility of combining this technique with other treatments.

Seeds of Bupleurum chinense cultivar, Zhongchai No. 1, were sowed in plastic pots which used the arable layer soil as the nursery bed and putted in the artificial climate incubator at various temperatures (15, 20, 25, 15-25 degrees C) and light (8,12 h) to germinate, respectively. The lower constant temperature (15 degrees ) and the higher constant temperature (25 "C) were not conducive to the sprouting characteristics of B. chinese. While they were able to enhance root activity to some extent; The seeding growth of B. chinese was significantly better in the variable temperature than correspondence in the constant temperature, significantly. The emergence speed, emergence index, vigor index and root activity of Bupleurum were improved under the 12 h of light-time, but the germination rate was not improved. The sprouting of Bupleurum's seeds could be improved to some extent by soaking with hormone, such as gibberellin, cytokinin, salicylic acid. Gibberellin promoted seeds' sprouting and seedings's root activity of Bupleurum, while salicylic acid increased the root activity of seeding. There is a significant influence of light, temperatures and hormone treatment on the germination of Zhongchai No. 1 seeds, and all three are remarkably interacted; It is beneficial to promote seed germination by the temperature (20 + 5) degrees C, lighting (8 h) and gibberellin concentration (10 x 10(-6)).

BACKGROUND: Osteoporosis is a genetic disease associated with many enes. To date, the genes that regulate bone mass are incompletely defined.OBJECTIVE: To investigate the relationship between polymorphisms of steoprotegerin (OPG) gene promoter with bone mineral density (BMD) in remenopausal and postmenopausal women.DESIGN: Prospective study.SETTING: Peking Union Medical College Hospital.PARTICIPANTS: In July 2002, 495 Han nationality women selected from Peking Union Medical College Hospital were non-related volunteers and gave their informed consent prior to the study, which included 306 premenopausal women aged 20-39 years, 189 postmenopausal women aged 50-84 years.METHODS: ① BMD measurement: BMD was measured at the Lumbar Spine and Femoral Neck, trochanter, Ward's triangle by dual-energy X-ray absorptiometry. ② Genotyping: Whole blood genome DNA was extracted by QIAGEN DNA extraction kit. The PCR product and the result of endonuclease digest were confirmed by sequencing (Bioasia Biotechnology,Shanghai, China). The impact of the polymorphisms on BMD was also investigated using multiple Logistic regression.MAIN OUTCOME MEASURES: ① Distribution of OPG genotypes and the relationship with BMD. ② Association between OPG polymorphisms and osteoporosis.RESULTS: All 495 subjects were involved in the final analysis. ① These polymorphisms were in Hardy-Weinberg equilibrium (χ2= 0.056 -0.222, P> 0.05). The frequencies of genotypes of these subjects were as follows: AA (70.1%), AG (26.9 %), GG (3.0 %) for 163A→G polymorphism; TT (71.3 %), TG (25.9 %), GG (2.8 %) for 245T→G polymorphism. BMD was lower in premenopausal women with GG +AG genotype than AA genotype for 163A→G polymorphism, so did GG+TG genotype than TT genotype for 245T→G polymorphism. But there was no significant difference. BMD was lower in postmenopausal women with AG+GG genotype than AA genotype for 163A→G polymorphism at Lumbar Spine 2-4, Femoral Neck, Ward's triangle and Trochanter (P < 0.05). For 245T→G polymorphism, BMD of postmenopausal women with TG+GG genotype was lower at Femoral Neck,Ward's triangle and Trochanter than TT genotype (P < 0.05). For 245T→G polymorphism, BMD of postmenopausal women with TG+GG genotype was lower at Femoral Neck, Ward's triangle, and Trochanter than TT genotype (P < 0.05). ② Age, weight, height, years since menopause, and 163A→G/245T→G genotypes were sewed as covariates. AG+GG genotype was contributed to low BMD at Lumbar Spine 2-4 and Ward's triangle (OR =2.045, OR=2.956, P < 0.05, 95% CI 1.05-6.7). TG+GG genotype was risk factor for osteoporosis at Lumbar Spine 2-4, Ward's triangle, and Trochanter (OR=2.059, OR=2.859, OR=2.123, P < 0.05, 95% CI 1.04-6.5).CONCLUSION: BMD was lower in postmenopausal women with the variant G allele for 163A→G and 245T→G polymorphisms at Femoral Neck,Ward's triangle, and Trochanter. The variant allele G may associate with lower BMD in postmenopausal women.

9.Bilateral maxillary bisphosphonate-related osteonecrosis of the jaw: a case report
Journal of Peking University(Health Sciences) 2017;49(6):1098-1102
Bisphosphonate-related osteonecrosis of the jaw (BRONJ),as one serious side-effect of bisphosphonate therapy, has been known for more than ten years since it was first reported in 2003.In the majority of the cases,BRONJ occurs more commonly in the mandible. Those involving the maxilla are relatively few. This paper reported a case that a patient with multiple myeloma developed bilateral maxillary BRONJ after tooth extraction. The patient had used bisphosphonates for more than three years, meanwhile with uncontrolled diabetes mellitus. The patient recovered completely after surgical treatment,in combination with diabetes disease control and antibiotics application. Two key factors to ensure the success of surgical treatment are as follows:sufficient removal of infected and necrotic tissue, and good blood-supply for the local flap to help completely close the wound. The literature was reviewed to analyze the reasons why bone necrosis related to bisphosphonates was most likely to occur in the jaw, especially in the mandible, according to the pathogenesis of this disease.Furthermore, the related risk factors of BRONJ presented in this case were discussed, such as tooth extraction, oral infection and diabetes mellitus, etc. We summarized adjuvant prophylaxes for prevention of BRONJ after tooth extraction, for example, drug holiday that could be used in the dental clinic. This case report reminds us that it's of great importance to establish the awareness that the osteonecrosis of the jaw may be related to the use of some bone-stabilizers.As for patients with a history of exposure to antiresorptive or antiangiogenic agents, dentists are supposed to be cautious. It's recommended to take appropriate measures in perioperative period of oral surgical treatment to prevent BRONJ.

Chinese Journal of Integrated Traditional and Western Medicine 2008;28(9):793-796
OBJECTIVETo observe the therapeutic effect of Dachaihu Decoction (DCHD) on acute mild pancreatitis of Gan-qi stagnant syndrome type.
METHODSThirty-six acute pancreatitis patients were randomized into three groups (Group A, B and C) equally, and they were treated with conventional Western medicine (WM), WM plus placebo and WM plus DCHD, respectively for 7 days. The time for pain relieving, fasting and total hospitalization were observed, and serum amylopsin and C-reactive protein (CRP) levels were measured before treatment and at various time points after treatment.
RESULTSAfter treatment, amylopsin and CRP level significantly decreased in the 3 groups, comparing with those before treatment (P < 0.05, P < 0.01). In Group C, amylopsin level was obviously higher on dl, d3 and d5, CRP level was higher on dl, d3, d5 and d7, and the remission time of abdominal pain, the fasting time, as well as the hospitalization time were all significantly shorter than those in Group A and B (P < 0.05, P < 0.01).
CONCLUSIONThe accessory use of DCHD upon conventional Western medical treatment can strikingly shorten the course of disease and enhance the therapeutic effect on mild acute pancreatitis patients.
