In order to search for a new pathway to improve the yield of ginseng through growing at the full sun shine accompanied by salicylic acid (SA), the net photosynthetic rate (P(n)), superoxide dismutase (SOD), catalase (CAT), peroxidase (POD), malondialdehyde (MDA) in Panax ginseng leaves, and the content of ginsenosides in roots were compared under various concentrations of SA and full sun shine with the traditional shade shed. Under the full sun shine, 0.05, 0.2 mmol x L(-1) SA increased net photosynthetic rate to a great extent. Under the cloudy day, the average net photosynthetic rate increased by 127.8% and 155.0% over the traditional shade shed, 13.9% and 27.5% over the treatment without SA respectively; under the clear day, 23.5% and 30.4% over the traditional shade shed, 8.6% and 14.6% over the treatment without SA, particularly obvious in the morning and late afternoon. With such concentration, SA increased activities of SOD, CAT, POD, and decreased the contents of the MDA. This difference resulted from different light intensity, rise of light saturation point, and fall of compensation point. Full sun shine decreased ginsenosides contents, but with SA, the ginsenosides regained, the content of Rg1 and Re, Rb1, total six types of ginsenosides in SA 0.2 mmol x L(-1) group were higher than those in the control group (P < 0.05) and other groups. The application of 0.2 mmol x L(-1) SA under full sun shine during a short time has little threat to the P. ginseng in spring, and could enhance the resistance to the adversity, which would improve the yield of ginseng heavily.

Herald of Medicine 2015;(11):1486-1489
Objective To establish a microbial limit test for levofloxacin hydrochloride gel. Methods Ca2+ was added to neutralize the antibacterial activity of quinolone, and to form the insoluble precipitate by binding with carbomer, therefore destroying the stability of macromolecules in the gel. The microbial limit test for levofloxacin hydrochloride gel was confirmed combining with membrane filtration and plate methods. Results The normal plate counting was used in detecting the mold and yeast colony in the gel, the recovery was more than 70%.Simultaneously neutralization centrifugation and membrane filtration were used in bacterial count, with recovery less than 70%,and controlling bacteria test. Conclusion The method is accurate and practical for microbial limit test of levofloxacin hydrochloride gel, but is risky for bacterial counting and needs further risk assessment.

OBJECTIVE:To observe the efficacy and safety of tadalafil combined with tamsulosin in the treatment of erectile dysfunction(ED) patients after four area division plasmakinetic enucleation of prostate (FPKRP). METHODS:Seventy patients with ED after FPKRP were randomly divided into control group and observation group, with 35 cases in each group. Both groups received FPKRP;control group was given Tamsulosin capsule 0.2 mg orally, once a day,1 d after surgery;observation group was additionally given Tadalafil tablet 10 mg,once a day,on the basis of control group. Both groups were treated for 3 months. Clini-cal efficacies of 2 groups were compared;international prostate symptom score, the levels of prostate specific antigen, the maxi-mal urinary flow rate, international erectile function questionnaire-5 score, life quality score and ADR were also compared before and after treatment. RESULTS:The total response rate of short-term therapy in observation group was significantly better than con-trol group, with statistical significance(97.14% vs. 71.43%,P<0.05). Before treatment, there was no significant difference be-tween 2 groups in terms of international prostate symptom score, the maximal urinary flow rate, international erectile function ques-tionnaire-5 score and life quality score(P>0.05). After treatment, international prostate symptom score and life quality score in 2 groups were significantly lower than before treatment, and the observation group was significantly lower than the control group;the maximal urinary flow rate and international erectile function questionnaire-5 score were significantly higher than before treat-ment,and the observation group was significantly higher than the control group, with statistical significance(P<0.05). There was no statistical significance in the levels of prostate specific antigen between 2 groups before and after treatment (P<0.05). There was no statistical significance in the incidence of ADR between 2 groups(P>0.05). CONCLUSIONS:For patients with ED after FPKRP,tadalafil combined with tamsulosin can effectively improve erectile function, relieve the lower urinary tract symptoms and improve the quality of daily life with good safety.

China Oncology 2001;0(05):-
Background and Purpose:Kaposi's sarcoma(KS) cases occurring in renal allograph recipients was considered to be due to long-term immunosuppressive therapy. But the exact carcinogenetic process has not been elucidated so far.The lesions could not be distinguished from other KS types by histopathological study.Endemic KS cases seemed to be more common in Xinjiang, especially in the Uygur ethnic group, and their relation to other types of KS was investigated in three cases by histopathology and immunohistochemistry for the present study. Methods:Biopsy specimens from three cases of renal tronsplantation related KS,including two Uygur and one Han patients, were obtained from this hospital(No.474 hospital of PLA).Formalin-fixed and paraffin embedded blocks were cut for routine HE and immunohistochemical staining to study respectively.Monoantibodies of CD34,Ⅷ-factor,Vimentin,actin and FN were detected by S-P techniques for immunohistochemistry. Results:Histopathologically, the typical histology of traditional KS was found in almost all the specimens of the three patients. In the early stage of the disease, there are only a few vessel fissures with irregular dilation and clustering obese(epithelioid)cells. In the middle stage, the changes are wider in scope with proliferation of spindle cells,in the form of beams and weaves. The proliferating vessels are dilated and hyperemic around the lesion. In the late stage, the spindle cells proliferation are markedly atypical, and karyokinesis is increased.Immunohistochemistry showed CD34 to be more strongly positive,Ⅷ-Factor(+),Vimentin(+) showed a weak reation;while actin(-),FN(-) were negative. Conclusions:Renal transplantation related KS is not essentially different from other types of KS both in histopathohogy and immunohistochemical characters which may reflect that they have a similar etiopathogenetic procession. However, the distinctive distribution of morbidity among different ethnic groups or districts strongly suggested that the genetic background plays a critical role on KS carcinogenesis.
