Objective To design and manufacture a hypobaric cabin simulator for experimental animals. Methods The simulator was composed of a fully transparent working chamber,an electrical chamber,a pressure control component and a program control component, which had its body made of polymethyl methacrylate plastics, the hatch made of metal plate and support by reinforced metal bar.The air inside chamber was exhausted by the diaphragm vacuum pump, the air inflow was controlled by proportional valve, and the inner pressure and the speed of rise and decline were exactly controlled by the balance of inflow and exhaust. Results The new type of hypobaric cabin simulator had the characteristics of accurate pressure control, low fluctuation range and controllable up and down time, low noise as well as adaptable air exchange rate. Conclusion The new type of hypobaric cabin simulator matches the national standard for experimental animals, and can be used in making the animal model of high altitude diseases.

Studies on the variation of amylase, lipase and lrotease activity of Whitmania pigra in 0-6 months old using 3, 5-dinitro- salicylic acid colorimetry, right-nitrophenyl palmitate ester (ρ-NPP) colorimetry and folin-phenol method. The results showed that pro- tease activity remained low before 1.5 months old and with the highest activity in 2 months old, but after showing a small peak in 4 months, alkaline protease rapid declined. Amylase was low at born, then gradually increased the activity of the highest in 2.5 months old. Lipase with a strong vitality at birth, then 1 month with minimum and 2 months peaked, but appeared a small peak in 4 months old. In summary, only lipase exhibits strong activity at birth, lipase with the strongest activity in the digestive tract during develop- ment. Protease, lipase and amylase with the strongest activity at 2-3 months old, but were decreased after 4 months old.

By combining frequency modulation Chirp Z transform ion mobility spectrometers (IMS) and multi nozzle electrospray array ionization source, a method of NanoESI-Chirp Z transform ion mobility spectrometry-high performance liquid chromatography was developed for the determination of n-alkyl ammonium bromide compounds. The parameters of NanoESI-Chirp Z transform IMS such as electric field intensity, solvent composition, and solution flow rate were investigated and optimized.Subsequently, four kinds of n-alkyl ammonium bromide compounds were respectively detected by this developed Chirp Z transform method and Fourier transform method, and the obtained results were compared. The result indicated that the optimum conditions were electric field intensity of 4.5 kV, and ESI solution flow rate of 8 μL/min.Then a test mixture containing tetrabutylammonium bromide, tetrapentylammoniumbromide, tetrahexylammonium bromide, tetraheptylammonium bromide, tetranoctylammoniumbromideandtetrakis(decyl) ammonium bromide was successfully separated and determined by the HPLC-nanoESI-Chirp Z IMS method.Chirp Z transform method provided higher signal to noise ratio compared to conventional signal averaging method, and was superior to FT method in the determination of drift time.

ObjectiveTo detect specific antigens of neural cells in amniotic epithelial cells(AECs) in rats. MethodsAECs were dissociated and purified from the amnion of pregnancy 12—14 d rats. The expression of specific markers of neural stem cells (Nestin, Musashi) and differentiated cells (MAP-2,NSE,GFAP) and ChAT, NT-3 in the AECs were detected by immunocytochemistry. ResultsThe cultured AECs displayed positive immunoreactivity to MAP-2, NSE, GFAP, Nestin and Musashi. In addition, the cells also demonstrated immunoreactivity to ChAT and NT-3. ConclusionAECs are similar with neural cells and it may be useful as a sustained source to improve outcome of neural stem cells transplantation.

ObjectiveTo investigate an effective method to isolate neural stem cells(NSCs).MethodsNSCs were dissociated by digestion with trypsin, EDTA and different doses of Dispase, and serum-free culture techniques and immunohistochemistry techniques were used to verifying the dissociated.ResultsA lot of single neural stem cells were obtained by using Dispase to digest neurosphere, and the cells could keep its structure and morphology.ConclusionIt is an ideal method by using Dispase to digest neurosphere for isolating NSCs.

Objective To explore the reason of misdiagnosis and discuss the reoperation in thyroid carcinoma. Methods The data of 77 patients that had reoperation because of misdiagnosis were analyzed. Results The daignosis of all 77 cases were only based on pre-operative physical and uhrasound examination. The post-reoperative follow up (3~41 monthes):no case was found local recurrence. Conclusions The preoperative frozen section may avoid misdaignosis and the effect of reoperation for misdaignosed cases are satisfactory.

Objective To explore the implementation situation and influencing factors of long-acting reversible contraception (LARC) after receiving post-abortion care (PAC) in artificial abortion women. Methods According to the demographic characteristics and abortion risks,4 068 artificial abortion women in the family planning clinic of our hospital were classified. The LARC implementation situation after receiving PAC was compared among different characteristic populations. The Chi square test was utilized to analyze the statistical significance of the data by SAS software. Results The LARC rate in young women was 7.9%),which was lower than 27.7% in 19-40 years old women and 11.8% in perimenopausal women;the LARC rate in nulliparous women was 10.6%,which was lower than 27.7% in parous women;the LARC rate in high-risk abortion women was 33.1%,which was higher than 16.6% in low-risk abortion women, these data analysis had statistically significant significance (P<0.05).The LARC rate in ≤ 20 years old women among high-risk abortion women, breastfeeding women, delivery women within three months, cesarean section women within six months and more than three times artificial abortion women was low (< 50%).However,the LARC rate in the scar pregnancy women and more than two times cesarean section women was high (> 80%).Conclusion Young women, nulliparous women and postpartum women in high-risk artificial abortion should be ranked the focus group for PAC consulting.

Objective Using transcranial Doppler (TCD) to evaluate the effect of selective shunt (SS) during carotid endarterectomy (CEA). Methods TCD was used for intraoperative bilateral middle cerebral artery (MCA) cerebral blood flow continuous monitoring in 169 patients with carotid stenosis treated with CEA. The patients were divided into shunt (n =32)and non-shunt (n = 137) groups according to whether they performed shunt or not. The open approaches of anterior collateral circulation were recorded. The peak systolic velocity (PSV),mean velocity (MV), pulsatility index (PI), and ratio of MV in bilateral MCA were compared after anesthesia, before and after carotid artery occlusion, before and after shunt, and after carotid artery open. Results MV before carotid artery occlusion in the shunt and non-shunt groups were 34.73 ± 13.54 cm/sand 35.32 ± 13.18 cm/s, respectively, and there was no significant difference (P = 0. 825). MV in the shunt group after carotid artery occlusion was significantly decreased in the non-shunt group (P =0. 000). The mean decline rate of MCA MV was 69.34% ± 20. 93%, and it was decreased more significantly than that in the non-shunt group (P=0. 000). The decline rate of MCA MV was increased significantly after shunt operation, the average increase was 35.68 ± 16.69 cm/s (P=0. 000). Conclusions TCD can objectively evaluate the hemodynamic changes before and after shunt operation.
