This study was aimed to define the scope of traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) informatics standards. The basic construction of three-dimensional profiling framework includes TCM business domain, elements of TCM informationization and specificity level. The clinical informatics standards development was stated as an example to demonstrate the application method of this three-dimensional profiling framework.

[Objective]To analyze the biodegradation properties and active osteogenesis features of implanted composites of gelatin microspheres(GMs) impregnated with calcium phosphate cement(CPC) and recombinant human bone morphogenetic protein-2(rhBMP-2) in bone defect.[Method]rhBMP-2 loaded gelatin microspheres was incorporated in rhBMP-2/CPC during setting.Thirty rabbits were divided into groups A,B and C(10 each).The rhBMP-2/GMs /CPC,GMs/cpc and rhBMP-2/cpc was implanted into the rabbits of group A,B and C,respectively.The biodegradation properties and active osteogenesis features of implanted composites bone substitute was evaluated by radiography,histology,bone mineral density(BMD)after the composites were implanted into the bone defects at rabbit radius for 6,12 weeks respectively.[Result]Significant implant resorption and bone ingrowth were observed in all rhBMP-2/GM/CPC treated defects while the defects treated with rhBMP-2/CPC implants showed slight resorption of CPC and the defects treated with GM/CPC implants showed slight formation of new bone.[Conclusion]The result of this study suggested that the rhBMP-2/GMs/CPC composite could be used as material for bone graft substitute.

Objective To investigate the incidence of renal injury caused by strong intensity military training in the navy.Methods One thousand three hundred and twenty servicemen of the navy were enrolled in the present study including 568 recruits and 752 veterans.Urine protein and hemoglobin were determined using the dry chemistry method after a five-kilometer armed field race.Urine samples were collected and centrifuged for erythrocyte count under microscope after training.Retinol binding protein(RBP) and N-acetyl-?-D-glucosaminidase(NAG) were measured by enzyme linked immunosorbent assay(ELISA).Detection of creatine kinase(CK) above 950U/L was assumed to be rhabdomyolysis positive.Results The average incidence of hematuria,hemoglobinuria and proteinuria was 2.1%,7.4% and 44 %,respectively,and the incidence of abnormal RBP and NAG was 57.3% and 57.1%,respectively.Significant difference in each of the indexes existed between the recruits and veterans(P

We have trcated 40 cases of active peptic ulcer with Omeprazolc from Jun. 1990 to Mar. 1991. Compared with it, We have treated 40 cases of active peptic ulcer with Ranitidine during the same time. 80 patients with active peptic ulcer were divided into two groups. The age, scx and size of ulcer between the two groups have been compared. The ulcer diameter was from 3 to 20mm. The number of the ulcer was from 1 to 5.40 patients were treated with Omeprazole 20～40mg p. o. everyday. After a course of two weeks trcatment, the healing rate was 95%; 40 patients were treated with Ranitidine 300mg p. o. everday. Alzheimer's diseases (AD) is a slowly progressive neurodegenerative disease. The pathogenesis of AD is complex and there is no effective medicine for AD. Catalpol is a kind of iridoid compound, it has neuroprotective, anti-inflammatory and antiaging activities based on cell and animal models of AD. These findings indicate that catalpol may be a potential anti-AD drug. This paper aims to review the advances of catalpol effects on cell and animal models of AD and could provide clue for the research and development of AD drugs.

Objective To identify interleukin 17 (IL-17) and B cell activating factor (BAFF) that could influence B cell biology by detecting the expression of BAFF in the serum and labial salivary glands from primary Sj(o)gren's syndrome (pSS) patients and to test the apoptosis rates of B cells cultured with Th17 cells which were transfected with IL-17-siRNA,BAFF-siRNA.Methods A total of 40 patients with pSS who were referred to the Department of Rheumatology and Immunology at Anhui Provincial Hospital from June 2011 to June 2012 were enrolled into this study.The expression of BAFF on salivary gland and serum from pSS patients and healthy controls were detected by ELISA and immunohistochemical examination (22 patients with pSS).Flow cytometry was used to detect B cell's apoptosis,BAFF and IL-17 interfered with amplified Th17 cells,and co-cultured with B cells.Immunoblot was used to detect supernatant antibody in 5 patients with pSS.Independent samples t test was used for statistical analysis.Results In all pSS specimens,infiltrating inflammatory cells expressed BAFF,so did some ductual cells,but acinar cells did not express these markers.There was no expression of BAFF in the controls.BAFF-positive cell numbers in the labial salivary glands of pSS patients with focal infiltrating lymphocytes were more than that with non-focal infiltrating lymphocytes (888±372 vs 164±161,t=5.94,P＜0.05),and the percentage of BAFF-positive lymphocytes over the total infiltrating lymphocytes in the salivary glands of pSS patients with focal infiltrating lymphocytes [(0.18 ±0.08) ％] was higher than those with non-focal infiltrating lymphocytes [(0.09 ±0.07) ％] (t =3.03,P＜0.05).The level of soluble BAFF in patients with pSS [(6.0±2.8) ng/ml] was significantly higher than the controls [(3.8±1.7) ng/ml,t=3.26,P＜0.05].BAFF or IL-17 transfected group,B cell apoptosis rate [(24± 5)％,(23±5)％] were significantly higher than the non-transfected group [(7±4)％],t=4.6,4.4; P＜0.05].And there was no significant difference when compared with cultured B cells (P＞0.05).Compared with the controls,no antibody could be detected in the supernatants.Conclusion BAFF may be involved in the process of local inflammatory damage of the pSS,it may have a synergistic effect with IL-17 on abnormal B cell function.
