1.Progress in the study of leptin and childhood obesity
Journal of Medical Postgraduates 2003;0(11):-
Leptin,a proteohormone primarily made by adipocytes, directly interacts with the hypothalamus for energy balance regulation. It plays an important role in the morbility of obesity. The soluble leptin receptor(sOb-R) is one of the leptin receptor isoforms. The examination of the sOb-R concentration is valuable because of its function in the regulation of leptin concentration.Leptin shows a great potential as a childhood obesity biomarker, and its concentration could be used in assessing the responsiveness of obese children to intervention programs.
3.Fertility preserving treatment of ovarian malignant tumor
Journal of International Oncology 2016;43(6):475-478
As a new type of treatment for ovarian cancer, the fertility sparing surgery is put forward for patients who has fertility requirements and the surgical indication. But the indications and safety are still controversial at present on the international. The operation is based on the traditional surgery way,the retention of the uterus and at least one side of the ovary, and then the corresponding adjuvant chemotherapy and ovarian protection, and choosing the right pregnancy timing based on individual difference,to the excellent oncologic outcomes and the favorable reproductive outcomes.
4.Progress of transesophageal echocardiography applied in perioperative monitoring
Chinese Medical Equipment Journal 2017;38(2):131-134
The application of transesophageal echocardiography (TEE) in perioperative monitoring was introduced, and its involvement in non-cardiac surgery was described. The advantages and disadvantages of TEE were analyzed when applied to cardiac and non-cardiac operations for congenital heart disease, coronary disease, vascular heart disease, aorta disease and etc.The abuse of vasoactive drug or fluid is avoided due to subjective evaluation on cardiac function and volume load.TEE facilitates the anesthetist in diagnosis and evaluation of the patient with heart diseases, and the surgeon in immediate assessment of the operation, which can be used for real-time monitoring of cardiac function and hemodynamics.
5.Gut microbiota and type 1 diabetes mellitus
International Journal of Pediatrics 2017;44(3):189-192
Recent researches have shown that gut microbiota play an important role in pathogenesis of immune-related disorders.Type 1 diabetes mellitus,as an autoimmune disease, has received increasing attention, especially in terms of the relationship between the pathogenesis and intestinal microbiota.Change of gut microbiota is an important risk factor of the pathogenesis of type 1 diabetes mellitus which have been confirmed with the animal model studies. This article reviews the role of gut microbiota in the pathogenesis of type 1 diabetes mellitus, and the influence of gut microbiota on host immune response for possible prevention and treatment of type 1 diabetes mellitus in the future.
6.Combine library and institute of information: The development model of institute of resources-information
International Journal of Traditional Chinese Medicine 2012;34(9):812-814
This paper presents a development model of resource information institute from organic integration the institute of information and library. The all data of resources-information institute come from and serve for theoretical research, clinical practice, and scientific research of TCM.Comparing with usual research institute and library, the resource information institute has five dominant positions, which are subjects, scientific researches, resource, professionals and services.
7.EML4-ALK fusion gene in non-small cell lung cancer
Journal of International Oncology 2012;(11):848-850
EML4-ALK fusion oncogene represents a new molecular target which appears mainly in lung adenocarcinoma.EML4-ALK is detected more frequently in young non-small-cell lung cancer patients who never or light smoke.ALK inhibitors(crizotinib)for the treatment of the EML4-ALK-positive non-small cell lung cancer has a high response rate. This finding can improve the individual treatment of non-small cell lung cancer.
8.Effects of recombinant human erythropoietin on the expression of glutamine synthetase of cultured retinal Müller cells under high glucose condition
Chinese Journal of Ocular Fundus Diseases 2013;29(5):514-517
Objective To investigate the effect of recombinant human erythropoietin (rhEPO) on the expression of glutamine synthetase (GS) of cultured rat retinal Müller cells in high glucose environment in vitro. Methods Mtüller cells were isolated from retinas of 10 Sprague-Dawley rats at postnatal day three to five by trypsin digestion, and were randomly divided into six groups, including normal control group, high glucose group, high glucose +5 U/ml rhEPO group, high glucose+ 10 U/ml rhEPO group, high glucose+ 20 U/ml rhEPO group, high glucose+40 U/ml rhEPO groups. After 48 hours, the apoptosis of retinal Müller cells were assayed by terminal transferase-mediated DNA end labelling assay, and the expression levels of GS protein were detected with semi-quantitative immunocytochemistry. Results Compared with the normal control group, the cell viability and GS protein were reduced while the cell death increased in Müller cells cultured in high glucose, the difference was statistically significant (t =27.4,P < 0.01).Compared with the high glucose group,rhEPO treatment reduced the apoptotic Müller cells (t=857.2,2 374.6,2 473.2,2 537.7; P<0.01),induced the expression of GS proteins (t=3.2,18.0,22.5,26.4; P<0.05).Conclusions rhEPO can protect Müller cells from apoptosis under high glucose condition. The mechanism may be related to its function to up-regulate the GS protein expression, promote glutamic acid cycle, and reduce the excitotoxicity effects of high concentration of glutamate.
9.Role of calcium signaling in neoplasms invasion and migration
Journal of International Oncology 2014;41(3):161-164
Intracellular calcium is one of the crucial signalings that modulate various physiological and pathological processes.Abnormal calcium signaling is closely associated with invasion and migration of neoplasms.Calcium regulates focal adhesion turnover, cytoskeletal reorganization and other processes about tumor cell movement through contacting with multiple downstream proteins, such as calpain,PYK2 and S100 protein family.Several calcium entry channels including store-operated calcium channels and transient receptor potential channels participate in the invasion and migration of tumor cells.Pathological calcium signaling may be a potential target in anti-invasion and anti-migration therapy.
