Chinese Journal of Experimental Ophthalmology 2011;29(2):179-183
Costimulatory signals have become a hot field in immunological researches. As co-inhibitory molecules, programmed death-1 ( PD-1) and its ligands (PD-1/PD-L) have been demonstrated to play an important role in autoimmune disease, organ transplant rejection, microorganism infection, tumor immune escapes etc. . In recent years, some studies about PD-1/PD-L pathway in ophthalmology have been curried out and reported. Some changes were found in PD-1/PD-L pathway, such as ocular immunologic diseases, ocular infectious diseases, ocular tumors, immune privilege in ocular tissues and so on. Through the research on PD-1/PD-L pathway,we can further understand the pathogenesis of some ocular diseases and find new methods for their prevention and treatments. This article reviewed the recent advances in PD-1/PD-L pathway in ophthalmological physiopathology.
4.Clinical Efficacy Observation of Pingxiao Capsules in the Treatment of Benign Thyroid Nodules
China Pharmacist 2017;20(3):506-508
Objective:To observe the clinical efficacy of Pingxiao capsules in the treatment of benign thyroid nodules. Methods:Totally 240 patients with benign thyroid nodules were randomly divided into the treatment group and the control group with 120 ones in each. The control group received levothyroxine at low dose, the treatment group received Pingxiao capsules, and the treatment course was 3 months. The type B ultrasonic inspection and lab inspection ( for thyroid hormones and blood lipid) were carried out, the cura-tive effect was compared and the adverse reactions were recorded as well. Results:Three patients in the treatment group and five ones in the control group were lost during the follow-up. After the treatment, the max diameter of thyroid nodule and the thyroid volume de-creased in both groups (P<0. 05), and those in the treatment group were smaller than those in the control group (P<0. 05). The levels of TSH and TC in the control group decreased after the treatment, which were significantly lower than those in the treatment group (P<0. 05). The total effective rate in the treatment group was higher than that in the control group, and the incidence of ad-verse reactions was lower than that in the control group, and both had significant differences between the groups (P<0. 05). Conclu-sion:Pingxiao capsules are effective and safe in the treatment of benign thyroid nodules.
5.Correlation between pulse pressure and cystatin C level in aged patients with essential hypertension
Chinese Journal of cardiovascular Rehabilitation Medicine 2015;24(1):24-26
Objective:To measure serum level of cystatin C (Cys C)in patients with essential hypertension (EH)and analyze its correlation with pulse pressure (PP).Methods:A total of 60 EH patients and 30 cases with normal physi-cal examination results were selected.According to PP level,EH patients were divided into PP>60mmHg group (n=29)and PP≤60mmHg group (n=31).Serum Cys C concentration was measured by latex particle-enhanced immu-noturbidimetric method in two groups, and the results were statistically analyzed. Results:Cys C level of PP >60mmHg group was significantly higher than that of PP≤60mmHg group, and the both groups were significantly higher than that of normal control group [(1.40±0.06)mg/L vs.(1.19±0.54)mg/L vs.(0.72±0.20)mg/L], P <0.05 all;linear correlation analysis indicated that Cys C level was positively correlated with PP (r =0.325,P <0.05)and systolic blood pressure (SBP,r = 0.399,P < 0.05),and PP was positively correlated with SBP (r =0.876,P <0.01)in EH group. Conclusion:Cys C level is positively correlated with PP in EH patients.Cys C level can be used as an early index detecting renal function damage caused by hypertension.
6.Spinal cord injury and MicroRNA:in vitro prefabrication of tissue-engineered spinal cord and repair of spinal cord injury
Chinese Journal of Tissue Engineering Research 2015;(2):267-271
BACKGROUND:In the whole world, spinal cord injuries caused by trauma lead to more than 180 000 people presenting with permanent impairment annualy. A large number of experiments have confirmed in recent years, under physiological conditions, microRNA has specific expression and plays an important role in the nervous system. OBJECTIVE: To discuss the changes in microRNA expression induced by injuries as wel as the pathophysiological significance in spinal cord injury, and to explore the development potential of microRNA in tissue-engineered and clinical repair of spinal cord injury. METHODS:A computer-based search of PubMed and Chinese Journal Database was performed for related articles published from January 2000 to December 2014 using the keywords of “SCI, microRNA, transcriptional control, clinical research progress” in English and Chinese. Finaly, 38 articles were included for result analysis. RESULTS AND CONCLUSION: Mechanical injury initialy triggers a series of complex secondary damages, including nervous, vascular and immune systems, which can influence the severity of spinal cord injury to a great extent. Secondary damage to the spinal cord is mainly attributed to the activation and deactivation of some specific genes associated with celular and biochemical mechanisms, such as cysteine aspartate specific protease (caspase) gene family, apoptosis related protein Fas and its ligand Fasl system, P53 gene, apoptosis related gene Bcl-2 family. Recent studies have proved that the functional activation of microRNA expression is the key to spinal cord injury. With the development of biological information engineering, studies and controling technologies associated with microRNA expression have been gradualy dominated, some clinical application based on microRNA technology has entered the clinical trial stage. It is believed that with the continuous development of technology and decrease of cost, permanent dysfunction due to spinal cord injury can be regulated and repaired through the microRNA technology at gene level in the future.
7.Differences of Ego Impairment Index of Rorschach test between patients with schizophrenia and normal individuals
Chinese Mental Health Journal 2015;(7):522-527
Objective:To investigate the differences of Ego Impairment Index (EII)of Rorschach test be-tween patients with schizophrenia and normal individuals. Methods:Totally 60 patients with schizophrenia (17-53 years old)meeting the criteria of Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders,Fourth Edition (DSM-IV) and 60 age-and gender-matched normal subjects were involved in this study. The Rorschach ink blots test was used in both patients and normal subjects. The Ego Impairment Index (EII)of all the participants were calculated on the basis of their responses to the Rorschach ink blots test. The EII and the subcomponents of it (including distorted form quality, weighted sum of cognitive processing errors, distorted perceptions of human movement, critical con-tent,good human representation, and poor human representation)of the two samples were compared to explore EII's discrimination to patients and normal individuals. Results:The score of EII [(0.7 ± 1.7 )vs. (-0.9 ± 0.9 )],distorted form quality [(6.2 ± 2.3 )vs. (3.4 ± 2.6 )],weighted sum of cognitive processing errors [(14.0 ±6.5)vs.(7.2 ±4.2)],distorted perceptions of human movement [(0.7 ±1.2)vs.(0.3 ±0.7)], and poor human representation [(3.1 ±2.7)vs.(1.8 ±1.8)]were higher in patients than in normal participants (Ps<0.05 ).No significant differences were found for the score of good human representation and critical content between the two groups (Ps>0.05 ).The result of Diagnostic Test showed that when EII equaling to -0.5 ,the sensitivity, specificity, and Youden Index of it to distinguish patients from normal individuals were 0.9 1 ,0.75 ,and 0.66 respectively. Conclusion:It suggests that the ego functions of patients with schizophrenia have become serious damage compared with normal individuals. The EII of Rorschach test has high sensitivity while relatively low speci-ficity in discriminating patients with schizophrenia, which needs to be further perfected.

9.INQUIRY ON THE APPRAISABLE STANDARD OF THE FAT OF CHILDREN AND JUVENILE
Acta Nutrimenta Sinica 1956;0(03):-
Based on the state of the development of the body and the subcutaneous fat of 4314 students (includidg boys and girls) at four middle schools in Zibo City, the fat was appraised and analyzed by the body-block indexand the thickness of the subcutaneous fat. The stand-ard-proposal value was also put forward by using y+1.645 Sy.x as the dividing-line value of the groups of different ages and the fat of both sexes. The comparison with foreign standards concerned showed that tally rate of the musculus triceps brachii and the shoulder-blade region of the fat sufferers was 76.87% and 51.7%. The tally rate of the sum of the above two terms reached 100% among the male and the female groups, from 15 to 18 years old. According to the current appraisable standard, the rate of fat children and juvenile for male was 2.86%, while for female, 4.0%. It was obvious that the rate of occurrence for female is higher than that for male(P
