1.Role of autologous adult stem cells in liver firbrosis

Hepatic fibrosis is a wound-healing re-sponse to all kinds of chronic liver injury, which if persistent can lead to cirrhosis. Once develops to cirrhosis, the only ef-fective therapy will be liver transplantation. In recent years,many scholars have taken all kinds of methods to try to pre-vent liver fibrosis developing to cirrhosis. As auto adult stem cell possesses multi-directional differentiation and none reject reaction advantages, it has become the study hotspot of nu-merous researches for hepatic fibrosis therapy and acquired significant progression.
2.Misconducts of science research human resource management——A reflection based on the Amabile's Componential Framework of Creativity

The Componential Framework of Creativity,advanced by Amabile,one of significant figures on the social psychology of creativity,comprehensively interpreted the nature and the construct components of creativity.Inspiring by the ideology of Amabile's Componential Framework of Creativity,this study examined whether the science research human resource management practices in today's Chinese science research institutions follow the nature of science research and whether the policy and operation inhibit creativity.It identified the common misconducts happened in human resource selection,development and performance management,and the causes and countermeasures of those misconducts were also explored.The findings will be a source of reference for human resource management practitioners at the science research field of China.
3.Postoperative recurrence and living quality of patients with superficial bladder carcinoma treated by health promotion

Objective To observe the effects of health promotion on tumor recurrence,quality of life and self feeling evaluation of patients with superficial bladder carcinoma.Methods 104 patients with superficial bladder carcinoma treated in our hospital from March 2002 to March 2005 were divided to two groups randomly.The patients in one group were treated by bladder irrigation with Bacille Calmette Guerin (BCG)simply,and those in the other group were treated by bladder irrigation and health promotion.Tumor recurrence,quality of life and self feeling evaluation between the two groups were compared.Results All patients were foUowed up for 7.3-36.0 months(mean 28.5 months).17 patients(15/51)in the simple BCG irrigation group had tumor recurrence in 0-12 months(2 patients),13-24 months(6)and 25- 36months(9)respectively.The recurrence rate in the first year was 3.9%.in the second year 11.8% and in the third year 17.6%.Eleven(11/53)patients had in the BCG irrigation and health promotion group.in 0-12 months(2),13-24 months(7),and 25-36 months(2)respectively.The recurrence rate in the first year was 3.8%.in the second year 13.2%.and in the third year 3.8%.There were no significant differences in the recurrence rates of the first and second year between the two groups(P>0.05).but there was significant difieFence in the recurrence rate of the third year between the two group(Y2=5.29,P< 0.05).There were no significant difierences in self feeling SCL-90 evaluation and quality evaluation of life after the first discharging between the two groups(P>0.05).After 3-year follow up,the life quality of the patients in the BCG irrigation and health promotion group was improved obviously compared with the simple BCG group(X2=6.47,P<0.05),and the bad negative emotion was diminished obviously compared with the simple BCG group(P<0.05).Conclusion Health promotion after operation on the patients with superficial bladder carcinoma can decrease the long-term tumor recurrence rate obviously,and improve the quality of life and self feeling significantly.

Fire-dragon moxibustion is a modified moxibustion method based on the traditional moxibustion therapy. It’s more easy-to-operate, has higher security, and is more significant in supplementing yang qi. Via extensive and intensive hot stimulation, fire-dragon moxibustion can activate yang qi inside human body, regulate Zang-fu organs, modulate immune function, and finally achieve the goal of preventing and treating diseases.
5.Research progress in role of nuclear factor E2-related factor2 in regulating development of cirrhotic portal hypertension

Cirrhotic portal hypertension is associated with both increased intrahepatic vascular resistance and hyperdynamic circulation.These two pathogical changes of portal hypertension can be contributed to the unusually high or unusually low levels of vasodilator in liver and splanchnic organs.Vascular hyporesponsiveness due to reactive oxygen species is also a key factor which accounts for portal hemodynamic abnormalities.Transcription factor nuclear factor E2-related factor 2 (Nrf2),known by its role in anti-oxygenation,can initiate and enhance transcription of antioxidant response element (ARE) when exposure to oxidative stress occures.Related influence on expression of nitric oxide,carbon monoxide and their coenzymes has also been demonstrated for decades.The potential clinical significance will be unfolded if changes of Nrf2 expression,as well as the way modulating Nrf2,are found in cirrhotic portal hypertension.
6.Quantitative Walking Exercise for Chronic Diseases (review)

Exercise of walking which is regarded as a popular aerobic exercise,is receiving increasing attention in recent years,especially for primary and secondary prevention of cardiovascular diseases.But the guidelines and recommendations are based on low evidence levels,lack enough evidence-based support,and cannot provide individual exercise prescription for more specific populations and specific indications.Thus we put forward the concept of quantitative walking exercise,and hope further studies on relationship between walking exercise and chronic diseases so as to develop appropriate exercise prescriptions for prevention and rehabilitation of chronic diseases.
8.The enigmatic ERH protein: its role in cell cycle, RNA splicing and cancer.

Enhancer of rudimentary homolog (ERH) is a small, highly conserved protein among eukaryotes. Since its discovery nearly 20 years ago, its molecular function has remained enigmatic. It has been implicated to play a role in transcriptional regulation and in cell cycle. We recently showed that ERH binds to the Sm complex and is required for the mRNA splicing of the mitotic motor protein CENP-E. Furthermore, cancer cells driven by mutations in the KRAS oncogene are particularly sensitive to RNAi-mediated suppression of ERH function, and ERH expression is inversely correlated with survival in colorectal cancer patients whose tumors harbor KRAS mutation. These recent findings indicate that ERH plays an important role in cell cycle through its mRNA splicing activity and is critically required for genomic stability and cancer cell survival.

9.Improvement of EP9-A2 for bias estimation among multiple quantitative detection systems in full range of AMR

Objective To improve EP9-A2 for Bias estimation among multiple quantitative detection systems within full range of AMR.Methods 40 patients specimens were determined twice for serum total cholesterol by four detection systems(A,B,C and D).With system A served as comparative method,Bias between A and the other three was evaluated according to CLSI EP9-A2 separately.Furthermore,DD(distance from deviation to tolerable error)and its average confidence intervals between every two sys-tem were calculated and compared with zero.The confidence interval of greater than zero was served as criteria for accepting bias between every two system.Results Bias between A and the other three meet the analytical quality specification according to EP9-A2,although that of D system was positive,and those of B and C system were negative.DD between every two system obeyed nor-mality distribution.All biases between every two system wes acceptable except that between B and D,causing of their interval con-taining zero.After correcting of results from system D,Biases between every two system were all acceptable.Plots of confidence in-terval could provide a full range bias assessment within AMR.Conclusion Comparability and Bias estimation in full range of AMR for results between every two system among 3 or more systems could be evaluated by confidence intervals.
10.MucA mutation and its alginate-production in clinically isolated Pseudomonas aeruginosa

Objective To determine the characterization of mucA gene mutation in clinically isolated Pseudomonas aeruginosa (P.aeruginosa), and the relation between mucA mutation and the mucoid phenotype.Methods A total of 58 strains of P.aeruginosa were collected. Of them,8 were nonmucoid phenotype and 50 were mucoid phenotype.We detected mucA mutations with PCR-SSCP and sequencing analysis. Alginate was examined by colorimetry. Results All strrains had mucA mutations (100%), 16 of the 50 (32%) isolates contained mucA mutations that could alter the encoding sequence of amino acids, and the rate in nonmucoid isolates was 0. Fourteen mutation sites were found, 5 of which could alter the encoding sequence of amino acids, and the others were silent mutations. The alginate concentration of mucoid P.aeruginosa was higher than the nonmucoid P.aeruginos(P<0.01). The alginate concentration of the isolates which contained mucA mutations that could alter the encoding sequence of amino acid was higher than the strains only with silent mutations (P<0.01).Conclusion mucA mutation correlates with the alginate production and phenotype of bacterial colonies.
