The 2008 World Health Organization Classification of Tumors of Hematopoietic and Lymphoid Tissues (4th edition) has greatly advanced the diagnosis, treatment, academic exchange, and research of lymphoma worldwide. A new revised edition will be published soon, in which the diagnosis and management of lesions at the very early stages of lymphomagenesis, the diagnostic criteria for several entities, and the genetic/molecular landscape of numerous lymphoid neoplasms and their clinical correlates have been clarified, refined, detailed, and expanded. Furthermore, several new concepts have been suggested in the upcoming revised edition, although the framework of classification remains the same. These updates will lead to development of more targeted therapeutic strategies and increase our confidence in the era of precision medicine. This manuscript will review the major advances and updates that are helpful for our un-derstanding and improvement in tumor diagnosis.

Objective: To study mental state of children with hematological malignancies in hospital and psychosomatic symptoms of their parents Method:EPQ for children and CBCL (Achenbach children's behavior checklist) were applied to 57 children with hematological malignancies in hospital, SCL-90 were applied to their parents Children in the same hospital with other diseases were sampled as control matched by age, sex etc Results:Children with malignancies had lower scores in extro-introversive than control The rate of behavior problems was 21%, manifested as boys with somatic complaints, delinquency and social problems; and girls with depression and social withdraw Parents of children with malignancies had higher score of SCL-90 than parents of children as control There was positive correlation between SCL-90 score of parents and behavior problems of their children with malignancies Conclusion:Family with children with hematological malignancies needs more care and help

Following the aging of population in the whole world and prolongation of survival time of patients with chronic diseases such as coronary heart disease, hypertension, and etc, the incidence rate of chronic cardiac failure increased obviously, especially its high level lethality rate becomes a big challenge which the clinical cardiologists must face to. As one of important treating methods, rehabilitation therapy has been attracting attention more and more.

Objective To evaluate the therapeutic effect of hydrogen-rich saline on allergic contact dermatitis (ACD) in mice and to explore its underlying mechanisms.Methods Forty mice were equally divided into 4 groups:control group,control treatment group,ACD group and ACD treatment group.ACD was induced by repetitive topical application of dinitrofluorobene (DNFB) to the left ear of mice on day 1,2 and 5.Hydrogen-rich saline was intraperitoneally given to the mice in the ACD treatment group at a dose of 5 ml/kg per day from day 1 to 5.On day 6,the mice were sacrificed,ear tissue was removed from them and subjected to measurement of thickness and weight,detection of tumor necrosis factor (TNF)-α,interleukin (IL)-6,IL-17 and interferon (IFN)-γ expression by enzyme linked immunosorbent assay,as well as numeration of inflammatory cells in lesions after hematoxylin-eosin (HE) staining.Data were processed by SPSS 18.0 software,and statistical analysis was carried out by one-way analysis of variance and least significant difference (LSD) procedure.Results Compared with the control group,the ACD group showed a significant increase in lesion score (7.33 ± 1.53 vs.0,P ＜ 0.05),differences in the thickness ((0.73 ± 0.15) mm vs.(0.13 ± 0.05) mm,P ＜ 0.05) and swelling degree (expressed as tissue weight:(18.67 ± 3.05) mg vs.(3.33 ± 1.52) mg,P ＜ 0.05) between the left and right ear,expressions of TNF-α ((1475.52 ± 233.81) pg/mg vs.(239.01 ± 52.39) pg/mg,P＜ 0.05),IL-6 ((184.65 ± 78.39) pg/mg vs.(42.28 ± 17.64) pg/mg,P＜ 0.05),IL-17 ((628.56 ± 201.44) pg/mg vs.(127.58 ± 50.28) pg/mg,P＜ 0.05) and IFN-γ ((197.72 ± 37.81) pg/mg vs.(24.57 ± 8.31) pg/mg,P ＜ 0.05),and the number of inflammatory cells per square millimetre in the left ear tissue (752.00 ± 166.06 vs.127.33 ± 77.18,P ＜ 0.05).However,hydrogen-rich saline treatment induced a statistical decrease in all of these parameters in the ACD treatment group compared with the ACD group,including lesion score (3.33 ± 0.58,P ＜ 0.05),difference in thickness ((0.46 ± 0.11) mm,P ＜ 0.05) and swelling degree ((11.00 ± 2.64) mg,P ＜ 0.05),expressions of TNF-α ((817.72 ± 101.13) pg/mg,P＜ 0.05),IL-6 ((95.86 ± 36.65) pg/mg,P＜ 0.05),IL-17 ((373.38 ± 126.74) pg/mg,P＜ 0.05),IFN-γ ((63.31± 17.38) pg/mg,P ＜ 0.05) and the number of inflammatory cells per square millimetre (384.00 ± 97.35,P ＜0.05).Conclusion Hydrogen may inhibit the release of inflammatory factors in ACD.

Objective To investigate the effect of binding pancreaticojejunostomy (BPJ) on the prevention of the pancreatic leakage after pancreaticoduodenectomy(PD). Methods The clinical data of 108 patients who underwent PD, including 26 cases of BPJ since 2001 and 82 cases of other type of pancreaticojejunostomy from 1993 to 2000,were retrospectively analyzed. Results The frequency of pancreatic leakage in this series was 13.9%. No pancreatic leakage occurred in BPJ group, whereas the frequency of pancreatic leakage in end-to-end invaginated pancreaticojejunostomy group and duct-to-mucosa pancreaticojejunostomy group was 24.6%(14/57) and 4.0%(1/25),respectively. The frequency of pancreatic leakage in BPJ group was significantly lower than that in end-to-end invaginated pancreaticojejunostomy group(P0.05). Conclusion BPJ may be effective in the prevention of the pancreatic leakage after PD.

Objective: To investigate the successive fluctuation of some Thl type cytokines in the peripheral blood of tumor-bearing mice treated with tumor-derived heat shock protein 70 ( HSP70) , explore the mechanism of HSP 70 in breaking through the tumor-immunity tolerance of the organism with tumor-burden and in inducing effective anti-tumor immune response, and provide valuable reference for tumor-derived HSP70 administration in treating human cancer. Methods : Cell culture, techniques for protein extraction and purification, SDS-PAGE, Western-blot, capillary electrophoresis, ELISA technique and animal experiment were applied. OBJECTIVETo evaluate the clinical efficacy and safety of Qiangji Recipe (QR) in ad- junctive treatment of axial undifferentiated spondyloarthritis (axuSpA) through a four-week open study.

METHODSFifty-four axuSpA patients of Shen-deficiency Du-channel cold syndrome (SDDCS) in line with inclusive criteria were recruited and assigned to the treatment group and the control group according to random digit table, 27 in each group. Patients in the control group took Celecoxib Capsule (0.2 g each time, twice per day). Patients in the treatment group additionally took QR (consisting of Herba Epimedii 15 g, antler glue 15 g, Cibotium Barometz 15 g, eucommia bark 20 g, dipsacus asper 10 g, two toothed achyranthes root 15 g, drynaria 15 g, Taxillus Chinensis 20 g, ground beetle 10 g, scorpion 5 g, wild celery 10 g, notopterygium incisium 10 g, cow-fat seed 10 g, white mustard seed 6 g, and licorice root 6 g, one dose per day, twice daily). The therapeutic course for all was 4 weeks. The Bath Ankylosing Spondylitis Disease Activity Index (BASDAI), the Bath Ankylosing Spondylitis Functional Index (BASFI), the Bath AS Metrology Index (BASMI), total body pain and spinal pain, patient and physician global assessment on a four-point scale, the Ankylosing Spondylitis Quality of Life (ASQoL), erythrocyte sedimentation rate (ESR) and C-reactive protein (CRP) were measured before and after 4 weeks of treatment. The primary end point in this study was the proportion of patients with a 20%improvement response accord- ing to the ASAS International Working Group Criteria (ASAS 20 responders) at week 4.

RESULTSTotally 50 patients completed this trial, 26 in the treatment group and 24 in the control group. Improvement of BASDAI, BASFI, BASMI, ASQoL, ESR, and CRP was shown in both groups after treatment. Better effect was shown in the treatment group in all indices except ESR and BASMI after treatment (P < 0.05, P < 0.01). Twenty cases (accounting for 76.92%) in the treatment group achieved ASAS 20 response at week 4, while 12 cases (accounting for 50.00%) in the control group achieved ASAS 20 response at week 4 (P < 0.05). No obvious adverse reaction occurred in the two groups.

CONCLUSIONQR combined Celecoxib Capsule showed better effect in treating axuSpA patients than using Celecoxib Capsule alone.

[Objective]To explore the clinic results of bi-posterolateral fusion combined with coralline hydroxyapatite interbody fusion,a three point stable spine fusion technique in the treatment of degenerative vertebra disc disorder.[Method]Bi-posterolateral fusion combined with posterior interbody fusion were performed to treat 41 cases of degenerative vertebra disc disorder from August 1998 to August 2006.The patients included 18 men and 23 women;their average age was 48 years.The slippage and grade of spondylolisthesis before and after spine fusion were investigated.The severity and slippage of radiographic measurements were also recorded,along with the average follow up of 19.1 month(range 12-48 months).The three point spine fusion applied autologous bone chips for bi-posterolateral fusion and one cubic block of coralline hydroxyapatite for anterior inter body fusion which achieved by PLIF technique.[Result]In the 41 patients who had underwent three point spine fusion surgery,only 1/41 patients experienced nerve root pain after surgery,and in most cases clinical symptoms were improved greatly.In 21/41 patients who had severe lower back pain completely disappeared after surgery,and in 9/41 cases these symptoms were minimal.The clinical evaluation according to the symptoms before the operation was excellent 2.4%(1/41),good 19.5%(8/41),fair 21.9%(9/41),bad 56.1%(23/41);after operation excellent 68.3%(28/41),good 29.2%(12/41),fair 2.4%(1/41),bad 0.0%(0/41).A radiographic measurements showed the anterior disc height was 8.05?2.35mm before operation and 11.44?3.38mm after operation(P

OBJECTIVE:To establish a gas chromatography(GC)method for determination of seven residual solvents in clofarabine.METHODS:The capillary column was AT-1301;the carrier gas was nitrogen gas and the detector was FID.By temperature programming was applied for the column temperature with an initial temperature of 40 ℃,which rose to 80 ℃ with an increase rate of 7 ℃?min-1,then rose to 200 ℃(kept at this temperature for 2 min)with the increase rate of 20 ℃?min-1.The injector temperature was 250 ℃ and the detector temperature was 280 ℃.The sample was injected directly for determination of residual levels of methanol,acetonitrile,dichlormethane,t-butyl alcohol,ethyl acetate,n-heptane and acetic acid in 3 batches of clofarabine.RESULTS:All the organic solvents were effectively separated and they showed good linearity within a concentration range(r=0.999 41～0.999 93)with average recovery rate ranged from 96.5% to 102.4%(RSDs of all were less than 4.0%).7 kinds of organic solvents in 3 batches of samples were all up to the standard specified in Chinese Pharmacopeia.CONCLUSION:The method is sensitive,accurate and reliable,and it is applicable for the determination of the residual solvents in clofarabine.
