Objective To investigate the influence of Fasudil on oxidative stress in patients with early-stage diabetic nephropathy. Methods 48 patients with earl-stage diabetic nephopathy were randomly divided into control group treated with Alpha-lipoic acid and treametn group with Fasudil. All patients were under strict control of blood glucose. Changes in the levels of serum cysc, urinal mALB and 8-OHdG were observed after two weeks treatment were compared between the two groups. Results Compared to pre-treatment, the content of serum cysc, urinal mALB and 8-OHdG were significantly decreased in both groups after treatment. There was no significant difference in the content of urine mAlb , CTGF and MCP-1 between the two groups before and after treatment (P > 0.05). Conclusion Fasudil may protect kidney through a mechanism by which the level of 8-OHdG in kidney is decreased and oxidative stress is alleviated.

Objective To investigate the MRI features of pilomyxoid astrocytoma ( PMA ) in children.Methods MRI features of seven children with pathologically proven PMA in 2011-2013 were retrospectively analyzed.The ages of the patients ranged from 10 months to 32 months at initial diagnosis.Results All tumors were well-circumscribed masses.Six tumors were located in the hypothalamic-chiasmatic-third ventricular region , two tumor involved the bilateral temporal lobe , and one tumor was associated with NF-I.One occurred in the basal ganglia region.Four tumors were solid masses , whereas the other three showed cystic components.Six tumors were hypointense and one was isointense on T 1-weighted image.Five tumors were hyperintense and three were isointense on T 2-weighted image.Four tumors were hypointense , one was iso-hypointense and one was isointense on DWI.After contrast administration , four tumors enhanced homogenously and three tumors enhanced heterogeneously , with intratumoral irregular hypointense region in two tumors and rim enhancement in one tumor.Cerebrospinal fluid ( CSF ) dissemination, hydrocephalus and peritumor edema were observed in 2, 4 and 1 of cases, respectively.Proton magnetic resonance spectrum of two PMA showed elevated Cho /Cr ratios and decreased NAA/Cr ratios.Conclusions The imaging features of pilomyxoid astrocytoma include common origination from the midline of the neuroaxis in younger children about 2-3 years old.The CSF dissemination is common.The presence of hemorrhage and peritumor edema is not common.

Objective To analyze the changes in epidemiology and treatment of hospitalized patients with cervical cancer during 1990-2007.Methods Overall.4648 patients witIl cervical cancer were diagnosed in our hospital from Jan 1990 to Nov 2007.but only 4223 patients with initial treatment in Oily hospital were studied retrospectively.Pearson Chi-square test was used to compare tlle age,stage,histopathologie type and treatment metheds between different times.Results (1)The meal]age of cervical cancer patients gradually decreased over the past 18 years,from 54.4 years during 1990-1999 to 47.2 years during 2000-2007:the proportion of young patients aged≤35 years increased from 4.77%(89/1865)during 1990-1999 to 11.75%(277/2358)during 2000-2007.(2)The proportion of patients with cervical cancer(stage I a-H a)increased from 14.32%(267/1865)during 1990-1999 to 40.75%(961/2358)during 2000-2007,whereas the proportion of patients with cervical cancer(stage Ⅱ b-lV)decreased from 85.68%(1598/1865)during 1990-1999 to 59.25%(1397/2358)during 2000-2007.(3)There was no significant change in histopathologie type of cervical cancer,and squamous cell careinoma of cervix remained the main type of cervical cancer.(4)The treatment pattern of cervical cancer changed significantly:radiotherapy was the main method(75.28%)for eervical cancer during 1990-1 999.but during 2000-2007.it was replaced by concurrent chemoradiotherapy(35.79%).Conclusions The proportion of young women with cervical cancer was increased during 1990-2007.and at the same period early stage cervical cancer increased.but late stage cervical cancer decreased.It is obvious that chemotherapy has become the important therapy in cervical cancer.

Objective Through summarizing quality management practices of international cooperative academic clinical studies funded by Peking University Health Science Center,analyzing its present major challenges of implementation in China,this paper proposed related measurements and suggestions to improve the quality of clinical research.Methods To sort the project management archive data,as well as descriptive analysis of the common monitoring/auditing findings.Results From the year 2011 to 2016,there were 14 such studies funded by Peking University health science center,common findings during monitoring and or auditing were classified as following categories,study files problem (100.0％),ethics problem (71.4％),protocol noncompliance (64.3％),data quality issues (71.4％),communication problem in study teams (14.3％),export problems of bio-specimens (14.3 ％),recruiting delay (14.3 ％) and cooperation termination in advance (7.1 ％).Conclusions In order to obtain credible and reliable data,peer recognized research conclusion and accurate answered scientific questions,it is essential for investigators to comply with laws and regulations and being strongly supported.Furthermore,researchers also need to establish and strictly follow study protocols,standard operating procedures (SOPs),research quality management system and relevant national laws and regulations that are comply with actual requirements in China.

Objective To investigate the pathogenic constitution of thyroid nodular diasease and it' s di-agnosis and treatment.Methods A retrospective analysis was performed on data of 576 patients accepted hospi-tal therapy with thyroid nodular diasease from January 2004 to June 2008.Results Definite diagnosis of all easeswere made by surgery biopsy or fine needle aspiration-cytology.529 eases were benign lesions, another 47 eases were malignant lesions.Condusions Ultra-sound , FNAC and frozen sections have important value in differenti-al diagnosis for the thyroid nodules, nodular goiter is most common, and which have a close relationship with thy-roid carcinoma.Regular surgical resection would reduce the recurrence of thyroid nodular diasease and avoid missed diagnosis for thyroid carcinoma.

Objective To evaluate the effects of acute peritonitis on rocuronium?induced neuromus?cular blockade in abdominal muscles and function of the sarcoplasmic reticulum of rats. Methods Thirty?six pathogen?free male Sprague?Dawley rats, weighing 220-250 g, were divided into 2 groups using a ran?dom number table: control group (group C, n=12) and acute peritonitis group (group P, n=24). After the rats were anesthetized with pentobarbital sodium, acute peritonitis was induced by artificial gastric per?foration in group P. At 1 and 2 h after operation, the changes in the intra?abdominal pressure (IAP) with different volumes were detected, and blood samples were collected from the orbital veins for determination of serum levels of interleukin?6, tumor necrosis factor?alpha and interleukin?13. Rocuronium 3. 5 mg∕kg was then injected via the caudal vein. The IAP was recorded at 1, 5 and 10 min after administration. The intra?cellular free Ca2+ concentration was assessed using fura?2, and the maximal Ca2+ uptake and release rate in the sarcoplasmic reticulum were calculated. Results Compared with group C, the serum levels of interleu?kin?6 and tumor necrosis factor?alpha at 2 h after operation and IAP at 1 and 2 h after operation were signifi?cantly increased, the IAP was increased at 1, 5 and 10 min after administration of rocuronium, and the maximal Ca2+ uptake rate and amount of calcium uptake in the sarcoplasmic reticulum were decreased in group P ( P<0.01) . Conclusion Acute peritonitis decreases rocuronium?induced neuromuscular blockade in abdominal muscles, which may be related to the impaired Ca2+uptake function of the sarcoplasmic reticu?lum of rats.

To comparatively investigate ultrastructural characteristics and expressions of AFP (alpha-fetoprotein) and Tn (Thomsen-Friedenreich-related antigen) protein in AFP negative (AFP-) and AFP positive (AFP+) primary hepatocellular carcinoma. Fourty-three cases of AFP- and AFP+ hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) tissues and five cases of normal liver tissues were divided into three groups: control group (normal liver tissue, n=5); AFP+ HCC group (the serum AFP level was higher than 10 ng/ml, n = 22); AFP- HCC group (the serum AFP level was lower than 10 ng/ml, n=21). The ultrastructural morphology was studied by transmission electron microscopy, the expressions of AFP and Tn protein were detected by immunohistochemistry and cell image analysis. 1. The immunohistochemical study showed that (1) the expression intensity and positive rate of Tn protein in AFP- HCC group were markedly higher than that in AFP+ HCC group (P<0.01); (2) The expression intensity of AFP in AFP- HCC group was lower than that in AFP+ HCC group (P<0.01). 2. The transmission electron microscopy demonstrated that some AFP- HCC cells linked closely with each other, others dispersed loosely just as cultured cells, the remarkable morphologic features in AFP- HCC cells were simple organelles, but they were abundant in the free polyribosomes. In AFP+ HCC group, all the HCC cells linked closely together and were rich organelles in their cytoplasm, especially the rough endoplasmic reticula. In addition, mitochondria and Golgi complex were obviously observed. (1) The AFP and Tn protein had discrepancy distribution in AFP- and AFP+ HCC tissues, Tn protein may be one of the early diagnostic indicators in AFP- HCC; (2) The synthetic locations of the AFP and Tn protein were different in hepatocarcinoma cells by ultrastructural observation.

AIDS antiviral therapy (ART) has achieved great success.Originaly,AIDS had been regarded as a fatal disease,but it has become a kind of infectious disease that could be cured and administrated.Global HIV / AIDS cases were still up to about 38 million,but more than half have been effectively treated.In addition to drug treatment,at present,some new technologies and new methods,such as genome editing,have also been involved in the treatment of AIDS,and in the humanized animal experiment has shown very good results.There is no doubt that AIDS will eventually be stopped its epidemic.However,with the continuous development of AIDS antiviral treatment,the most fundamental problem is that HIV latent library has become increasingly prominent one,whether molecular therapy and hybrid cure have being developed for AIDS treatment,there are still such problem existence.Great efforts shoud be made to continuously search for new markers of latent viral cells and to reduce the latent pool.In addition,despite the prevention and treatment of AIDS has made great achievements,but the world still produces nearly 6000 cases of HIV/AIDS every day.Therefore,the development of safe and effective vaccine,whether in the field of prevention,or in clinical treatment,has its positive significance.

OBJECTIVEThe Pul-stent is a new cobalt alloys stent, specially licensed for pulmonary artery stenosis. The aim of this study was to investigate the value of the stent implantation as the treatment of postoperative pulmonary artery stenosis.

METHODClinical practice was carried out to evaluate effectiveness, safety and maneuverability of Pul-stent in the defined clinical setting. Transthoracic echocardiography, chest roentgenography and electrocardiography were carried out as follow-up studies at 1 and 3 months after procedures.

RESULTTen patients (7 males and 3 females) received Pul-stent implantation in left or right pulmonary arteries (9 stents in left and 1 stent in right). For 9 cases transcatheter stent implantation was performed and in I case hybrid procedure. The median age was 7. 9 years (range 3. 4 - 13. 7 years). The median weight was 22. 3 kg (range 13 - 32 kg). Among them 6 cases were post surgical repair of tetralogy of Fallot, 2 cases were after Fontan procedures, 1 patient was post surgical repair of pulmonary atresia with ventricular septal defect, and 1 patient had stenosis at Glenn pathway. The pressure gradient at the stenosis decreased from (31. 6 ± 10. 2) mmHg(1 mmHg =0. 133 kPa) to (7. 3 ± 10. 3) mmHg, and the diameter of the narrowest segment increased from (4. 0 ± 2. 3) mm to (9. 6 ± 2. 7) mm, the right ventricle to aortic pressure ratio decreased from 0. 54 to 0. 36, all of these improvements were statistically significant (t = 3. 9, -9. 7, 4. 5; P =0. 008, 0. 000, 0. 004). The total procedure time ranged from 55 to 220 min (median 117 min) , and the fluoroscopy time ranged from 9 to 67 min (median 26 min). There were 2 cases of post-stenting pneumorrhagia. No stent fracture, stent malposition and other severe complications were observed. Initial follow-up of 1 and 3-months showed good results with maintenance of improved caliber of the stented vessel, and the gradient across the stenosis area measured by echocardiography was (32. 0 ± 14. 6) mmHg after 3 months. Compared with before stentifng ((40.6 ± 15. 2) mmHg) and 1 month later ((30. 6 ± 13. 6) mmHg), the difference was not statistically significant (t =2. 2,1. 76; P =0. 07, 0. 10).

CONCLUSIONPul-Stent tracking and delivery was excellent, the initial experience has shown that Pul-stent implantation was effective and safe in treating post-operative branch pulmonary artery stenosis. Further follow-up study should be conducted to make sure whether those good results would be kept constant.
