AIM:To explore the influence of long-term swimming on peripheral neuropathy in type 2 diabetic rats.METHODS:Male Wistar rats were fed with a high-fat and high-fructose diet, and injected with streptozocin to estab-lish a model of type 2 diabetes mellitus. The rats were randomly divided into 4 groups:blank control group (C group), ex-ercise control group ( CE group ) , diabetes mellitus group ( DM group ) and diabetes mellitus +exercise group ( DME group). The rats in CE group and DME group received 8-week swimming training (6 d/week).The training time was 20, 30 and 45 min in the first 3 d,respectively, and then it increased to 60 min a day.Eight weeks later, the motor nerve conduc-tion velocity ( MNCV ) and the levels of tumor necrosis factor α( TNF-α) , interleukin 6 ( IL-6 ) and C-reactive protein ( CRP) in sciatic nerve tissues of the rats were measured .The morphological changes of the sciatic nerve were also observed under light microscope .RESULTS:Compared with DM group , 8-week swimming obviously accelerated the MNCV ( P<0.05), decreased the levels of TNF-α, IL-6 and CRP in DME group (but no significant difference, P>0.05).The obvi-ous nerve injury in DM group was observed .However , the pathological change of the sciatic nerve in DME group was re-lieved.CONCLUSION:Eight-week swimming training significantly accelerates the MNCV , attenuates the nerve injury in diabetic rats and has protective effect on peripheral nerve , which may be correlated with relieving the inflammatory reaction .

In order to ascertain prevalence rate of premarital sexual intercourse, unintended pregnancy and abortion, and evaluate associated factors of unintended pregnancy among undergraduates from all over China, the representative sample of unmarried undergraduates was obtained by using a multi-stage, stratified, probability cluster design, and data were collected by using a survey questionnaire. 62 326 available responders were gained. 11.6% of them acknowledged having experiences of premarital sexual intercourse (standardized prevalence rate of sexual intercourse was 13.8%). 31.5% of students active in premarital sex acknowledged undergoing unintended pregnancy. 76.2% of pregnant students selected abortion to end it. Of students active in premarital sex, 46.2% used contraception at the first sexual intercourse, 28.2% replied "always" using contraception in sexual intercourse. The rate of using condoms, oral contraceptives (OCs), and withdrawal among students who had used contraception was 52.0%, 31.0%, and 27.2% respectively. "No preparation for sex" (40.3%), "pleasure decrement" (32.1%), "won't-be-pregnancy in occasional sexual intercourse" (30.2%) were their common excuses for using no contraception. The identified risk factors for unintended pregnancy among students active in premarital sex by multivariate analysis were as follows: having no steady lover [having no steady lover vs having a steady lover: odds ratio (OR), 1.875; 95% confidence interval (CI), 1.629-2.158], unaware of the course of conception (unaware vs aware: OR, 2.023; 95% CI, 1.811-2.260), considering abortion not endanger women's physical and mental health (no endangerment vs endangerment: OR, 2.659; 95% CI, 2.265-3.121), nonuse of contraception (never use vs always use: OR, 1.682; 95% CI, 1.295-2.185). Medical students were not less likely to experience an unintended pregnancy than nonmedical students (OR, 1.111; 95% CI, 0.906-1.287). The substantial proportion of unintended pregnancy among undergraduates indicates a need for convenient and targeted contraceptive education and services.

Objective:To summarize the research on the application of online health community-based user personain the field of cancer at home and abroad, so as to provide reference for the related research and application in this field in the future. Methods:Computer search of CNKI, China biomedical literature database, VIP, Wanfang, Web of Science, Embase, MEDLINE, PubMed, CINAHL, Cochrane Library, a total of 10 Chinese and English databases, focused on the relevant research on building user personas based on online health communities in the field of cancer, and the search time limit was from the establishment of the database to April 20, 2022. Literature was screened, data extracted and summarized. Results:Totally 11 literatures were included. The construction process of user persona based on online health community included data collection, tag extraction and persona presentation. The functional diversity and implementation feasibility were showed in the application content in the field of cancer. It can quickly identify the differences in health information needs of cancer patients, provide personalized decision support and nursing services, strengthen health information education, and improve patients′ self-management ability. Conclusions:The integration of user persona and cancer field based on online health community was in the initial exploration stage, and the feasibility and effectiveness of promoting patients′ health behavior were confirmed by existing studies. In the future, it is still necessary to be promoted in the empirical research on its application in clinical practice, so as to lay a foundation for providing targeted patient health management programs in the future.

Objective:To synthesize the findings of qualitative research on the treatment experience of cancer patients receiving immune checkpoint inhibitors therapy to provide a basis for developing relevant health education strategies and other supportive care interventions. Methods:Qualitative research on the treatment experience of cancer patients receiving immune checkpoint inhibitors therapy, published by May 2022, were searched in English and Chinese databases, including Cochrane Library, PubMed, Embase, PsycINFO, CINAHL, Web of Science, CNKI, Wanfang, VIP, and CBM. The quality of the included studies was evaluated by Joanna Briggs Institute Critical Appraisal Tool for qualitative studies. The research results were summarized and Meta-synthesis using the pooled integration method. Results:A total of 13 articles were included and 62 findings were grouped into 12 new categories according to their similarities. These 12 categories resulted in 4 synthesized findings: life was affected, facing multiple decision scenarios, presence of some unmet needs and gaining positive experiences and personal growth. Conclusions:Although patients experience some positive experiences, a large proportion of them experience significant health distress. Healthcare professionals should develop targeted health education with supportive care strategies on the basis of a comprehensive assessment.
