Objectives To investigate the dynamic change of galectin-1 in myocardium of mice with viral myocarditis (VMC). Methods A total of 58 male BALB/c mice were selected and randomly divided into CVB3 group (n=50) and control group (n=8). Mice in CVB3 group were infected with 0.10 ml 10-5/L CVB3 through intraperitoneal inoculation, and 8 mice were killed on day 7, 10, 14 and 28 respectively after inoculation. Mice in control group inoculated with 0.10 ml eagle reagent was killed on day 28. The myocardial pathological changes were observed using light microscope. In addition, expressions of serum galectin-1 were detected by ELISA and expressions of myocardial galectin-1 were detected by real-time quantitative-polymerase chain reaction (RQ-PCR). Results Compared with control group, the myocardial expression of galectin-1 mRNA in CVB3 group was obviously increased on day 7 and day 10 (all P<0.05);the serum concentration of galectin-1 in CVB3 group was obviously increased on day 7, day 10 and day 14 (all P<0.05). Conclusion The expressions of galectin-1 in myocardium of mice with viral myocarditis were in dynamic changes. Galectin-1 may play a role in the pathogenesis and development of viral myocarditis.

Objective To analyse imaging features of atypical meningioma.Methods There were 17 cases with atypical meningiomas proved by pathology,7 cases were male,10 cases were female,ranged in age from 34～69 years.17 cases all examined with CT,and 10 cases with CT enhanced scanning;12 cases examined with MRI and 8 cases with MR enhanced scanning,5 cases examined with DSA.Results The major imaging features of atypical meningioma included:the borders of tumors were mostly irregular,nonhomogeneous density or signal on plain CT and MRI,nonhomogeneous enhancement on enhanced CT and MRI.Cystic and necrotic changing and the invasion of cranial bone and adjacent structure could be seen.5 cases with dural tail sign on MRI,3 of them,this sign was short,thick and irregular.Heavy staining was showed on DSA.Conclusion Atypical meningiomas are of some clinical and imaging features.

Objective To study the correlation among pathological,clinical and the imaging features(CT and MRI) of the Rathke cleft cysts.Methods CT,MRI and clinical findings of Rathke cleft cysts in 43 patients confirmed by operation and pathology were retrospectively studied.Results 27 cysts located at intrasella and suprasella and 16 cysts entirely located at intrasella.Cysts were round or oval in shape with definite borders.The size of 30 cysts exceed 10mm in diameter.On CT scans reviewed,the cysts were low density in 9 cases,hyper-density in 9 cases and isodensity or mixed density in 8 cases.The cyst's wall with calcification was seen in one.On postcontrast CT scans,6 cases showed circular and peripheral cyst's wall enhancement and others were no enhancement.On MR imaging,the lesions were low or isodense on T1WI and hyper-intensity on T2WI in 18 cases,both were high signal intensity on T1WI and T2WI in 6 cases,high signal intensity on T1WI and mixed signal intensity on T2WI in 4 cases.An intracystic nodule having high signal intensity on T1WI,and low or mixed signal intensity on T2WI was observed in 4 cases.On contrast-enhanced MR imaging,enhancement of the cyst's wall was shown in 9 cases.During surgery,the lesions were noted to have a cyst of semisolid consistency,and cystic contents were described from CSF-like clear fluid in 10 cases,jellied-like brown mucoid fluid in 15 cases,caseous-like mucoid fluid in 12 cases,machine oil-like mucoid fluid in 6 cases.At histopathology,a part of cystic fluid included cholesterol crystal and necrotic debris.Cholesterol clefts and hemosiderin pigment,and granuloma were shown by staining with HE in 11 cases.The PAS staining was positive in 16 cases,cystic fluid contained partial mucopolysaccharides and protein.Conclusion Typical Rathke cysts can be dignosised in the preoperative,the findings of CT and MRI are not specific in atypical cysts.The imaging features were different with the fluid component of Rathke cleft cysts..

Objective:To explore the correlation of nurses ’ organizational commitment and their professional identity status.Methods:Using Chinese employee organizational commitment scale and nurses professional identity evaluation scale questionnaire survey was conducted in 400 cases of clinical nurses , nurse compare different characteristics of organi-zational commitment and professional identity level , and USES the Pearson correlation analysis to investigate the correla-tion of both.ResultsNurses organizational commitment and professional identity total score , respectively (2.16-0.45) and (3.49 +0.84);Different cultural degree , job title, working years and the way of hiring nurses ’ professional identi-ty score comparison, the difference was statistically significant (P <0.05);Different ways of title, working years, and hire nurses’ organizational commitment score comparison , the difference was statistically significant (P <0.05);Pear-son correlation analysis showed that organizational commitment and the scores of each dimension career cognitive apprais -al, professional social skills , professional setback coping , social support and total scores of professional identity were sig -nificantly positive correlation (P <0.05).Conclusions:The nurse was significantly positively related to organizational commitment and their professional identity , and both have big room to improve .

Objective To investigate the epidemiological characteristics and mortality risk factors of severe sepsis patients admitted into intensive care unit (ICU).Methods The clinical data of 419 severe sepsis patients admitted to an adult ICU of Beijing Friendship Hospital from January 2009 to December 2012 were retrospectively analyzed and evaluated.Logistic regression analysis was employed to identify independent risk factors for the death of patients with severe sepsis during ICU stay.Results Overall ICU mortality was 43.9％ (184/419),and the respiratory tract was the most common site of infection (50.8％),followed by infection of the gastrointestinal tract and abdominal cavity (27.8％),and hematogenous infection (4.3％).Gram-negative bacteria were the most common pathogens [46.0％ (214/465)].Iatrogenic infections accounted for 53.7％ (225/419) of the enrolled patients.Logistic regression analysis showed that age [odds ratio (OR)=0.003,95％ confidence interval (95％CI) 1.015-1.056,P=0.O00],vasoactive drug application (OR=3.251,95％CI 1.562-6.768,P=0.002),failure of 3 or more organs (OR=2.452,95％ CI 1.015-5.924,P=0.046),and iatrogenic infection (OR =1.775,95％ CI 0.981-3.221,P=0.046) were independent risk factors for ICU mortality.Conclusions Severe sepsis is a common cause of ICU admission.Patients with risk factors for high mortality should be carefully monitored,and aggressive treatment should be administered.

[Abstratc] Objective The function of cIAP1 in the progression of ovarian cancer has not been clarified . This study is to explore the involvement of cIAP 1 in regulating biological behaviors of ovarian cancer cells by u-sing RNA interference(RNAi)technology.Mte hods The short hairpin RNA plasmid targeting cIAP1 was con-structed and transfected into Skov 3 cells.The levels of cIAP1 mRNA and protein were investigated by RT -PCR and Western Blot respectively .MTT assay and flow cytometry were used to evaluate cell proliferation and apopto-sis.R esults The rate of cIAP1 transfection was 74.7%performed by flow cytometric analysis .cIAP1 expression was significantly down -regulated at both mRNA and protein levels ,which resulted in a decrease of cell prolifera-tion and invasion capability in vitro .Conclusion This study implies that cIAP 1 might play an important role in the progression of ovarian cancer ,and it could be a potential target for therapeutic anti -cancer drugs .

Objective To investigate the relations and evaluation value of serum thymidine kinase 1 (sTK1) in the treatment of patients withacute exacerbation of chronic obstructive pulmonarydisease (AECOPD). Methods The retrospective treating studies were performed on 104 patients with AECOPD , sTK1 level was de-tected by chemiluminescence dot-blot assay before and after treatment , and the correlation between the expression of sTK1 and CRP after treatment in the two groups was analyzed. Results The levels of sTK1 and CRP in the ef-fective group significantly lowered after treatment (P < 0.05). The expression of sTK1 in the effective group and in the ineffective group after treatment was significantlycorrelated with CRP (P < 0.05). Conclusion sTK1 can be used as a valuable indicator to evaluate the severity of AECOPD and to estimate the efficacy of AECOPD thera-py.

Aim To investigate the effect of astragalo-side IV ( ASIV) on myocardial energy metabolism and mitochondrial biosynthesis in myocardial cells of dia-betic rats induced by streptozotocin ( STZ ) . Methods
50 SD rats at 6 weeks of age were assigned to 5 groups,10 for each group:control group, model group, ASIV 10 mg·kg-1 ·d-1 group, ASIV 20 mg·kg-1 ·d-1 group, ASIV 40 mg·kg-1 ·d-1 group. Except the control group,the remaining 40 were used to estab-lish type 1 diabetes model by the tail vein injection of STZ (35 mg·kg-1 ) . At the end of 16 weeks of treat-ment, left ventricular systolic pressure ( LVSP ) , left ventricular diastolic final pressure ( LVEDP ) and left ventricular maximum rising/falling rate ( ± dp/dtmax ) were tested. Pathological section was observed by HE staining. ATP, ADP, AMP levels were detected by ELISA. The expressions of PGC-1α and NRF-1 protein were assessed by Western blot. The expressions of PGC-1α and NRF-1 mRNA were determined by RT-PCR. Results Compared with control group, model group markedly elevated LVEDP and decreased LVSP, ± dp/dtmax , ATP/AMP and ATP/ADP ratio. Com-pared with model group, low-dose ASIV group did not change significantly,middle-dose ASIV group and high-dose ASIV group obviously decreased LVEDP, and im-proved LVSP, ± dp/dtmax , ATP/ADP and ATP/AMP ratio. Meanwhile, the expressions of PGC-1α and NRF-1 protein and mRNA were increased in a dose-de-pendent manner. Conclusion ASIV could promote mitochondrial biosynthesis, improve energy metabolism in myocardial cells of type 1 diabetic rats by PGC-1αand NRF-1 .

Objective To analyze the characteristics of change in plasma cholesterol level in patients with sepsis, and to explore its relationship with prognosis and its clinical significance. Methods A retrospective analysis was conducted. 568 patients with sepsis admitted to Department of Critical Care Medicine of Beijing Friendship Hospital Affiliated to Capital Medical University from August 2013 to August 2015 were enrolled, and 475 patients without sepsis hospitalized in the same period served as the control. The basic clinical data of the two groups were collected, and the results of blood fat and biochemical parameters were compared. The patients with sepsis were divided into death group and survival group, and risk factors influencing the prognosis of patients with sepsis were analyzed with multivariate logistic model regression analysis. Results Compared with non-sepsis patients, the levels of plasma total cholesterol (TC) and high density lipoprotein cholesterol (HDL-C) in the patients with sepsis were significantly lower [TC (mmol/L): 2.5±1.2 vs. 3.4±1.4, t = 4.274, P = 0.021; HDL-C (mmol/L): 1.6±0.9 vs. 2.5±0.8, t = 3.413, P = 0.018], and that of low density lipoprotein cholesterol (LDL-C) showed no statistically significant difference (mmol/L: 1.9±0.9 vs. 2.1±0.9, t = 0.749, P = 0.614). In the patients with sepsis, the patients in death group (n = 227) were older than those of the survival group (n = 341, years: 74.3±15.5 vs. 65.5±17.5, t = 4.037, P = 0.012), serum creatinine (SCr) was higher than that of survival group (μmol/L: 251.0±115.6 vs. 167.4±108.7, t = 3.254, P = 0.023), the levels of plasma TC, HDL-C and LDL-C were significantly lower than those of survival group [TC (mmol/L): 2.2±1.6 vs. 2.9±1.1, t = 3.057, P = 0.023; HDL-C (mmol/L): 1.4±0.8 vs. 1.9±0.8, t = 4.692, P = 0.016; LDL-C (mmol/L): 1.7±0.7 vs. 2.0±0.8, t = 2.541, P = 0.038]; there was no significant difference in the proportion of male, body mass index (BMI), based disease, intensive care unit (ICU) hospitalization time, the severity of the disease and other biochemical indexes between two groups. With single factor analysis with indicators of statistical significance as a covariate into binary logistic regression equation, the results show that age was the risk factor of death in patients with sepsis [odds ratio (OR) = 1.024, 95% confidence interval (95%CI) = 1.010-1.048, P = 0.009], and TC was the protective factor on the prognosis of patients with sepsis (OR = 0.747, 95%CI = 0.682-0.811, P = 0.013). Conclusions Plasma cholesterol levels in patients with sepsis were significantly lowered, and the levels in death group was significantly lower than that in the survival group. TC may be used as a clinical indicator to assess the outcome of patients with sepsis.
