The significance, development and advantage of barcode are introduced. The wsing of barcode module turns the management of medical consumables into supermarket, which promotes the management of medical consumables to a new step. In daily works, it can save manpower, material resources and cost, also improve the efficiency of work.

Objective To study the adverse effects of outdoor air pollution on children's respiratory system health in Anshan city. Methods 1951 children were randomly selected from three areas with different degree of air pollution in Anshan city. The parents of the children were asked to answer a questionnaire about their children's respiratory health and home environment. The data of health were collected included persistent cough, persistent phlegm, asthma, current asthma, wheeze, and wheeze symptom. Results The prevalence rates of persistent cough, persistent phlegm, asthma, current asthma, wheeze and wheeze symptom were 9.48%, 4.82%, 1.33%, 0.92%, 6.30% and 4.97% respectively. Outdoor air pollution was a risk factor for persistent cough and persistent phlegm. The respiratory symptoms increased as the house became near to the main traffic lines. Combined effect of susceptible factor and outdoor air pollution was obvious, the prevalence rates of respiratory diseases were higher in the susceptible children who were influenced by the other risk factors compared with those who were not influenced by the same factors. Conclusion Outdoor air pollution is an important factor which will damage children's respiratory system in Anshan city.

Objective To realize management of nosocomial consumables in supermarket style by developing bar code input and output modules.Methods Based on No.1 Military Medical Project and Consumables Management System,source codes were extracted and bar code input and output modules were added into original system.Results With the bar code modules,the actual work flow of this system was simplified to be three steps: consumables input by scanning bar codes;scan statistics;consumables output by scanning bar codes.Conclusion A lot of disadvantages in original workflow are removed such as overmuch procedures in workflow,frequent occurrence of errors,high labor repetition,low work efficiency,etc.work efficiency and accuracy are greatly improved and supermarket style management of nosocomial consumables is realized.

Objective To investigate the distribution and drug resistance of major pathogens for urinary tract infections in the First Affiliated Hospital of Nanjing Medical University.Methods Strains from midstream urine culture of patients with urinary tract infections were collected during January 1 and December 31,2011.All strains were identified by API system,and disk diffusion method was used for drug sensitivity test.Results Totally 1129 strains were isolated,in which 667 (59.1％ ) were Gram-negative strains,266 (23.5％) were Gram-positive strains,and 196 (17.4) were Candida.Among Gram-negative strains,Escherichia coli,Klebsiella pneumoniae and Proteus mirabilis were highly sensitive to carbapenem antibiotics; while Acinetobacter baumannii and Pseudomonas aeruginosa were highly resistant to most antibiotics including cephalosporins and penicillinase inhibitor,and the resistance rates were over 50％.Among Gram-positive strains,the major strains Enterococcus avium and Enterococcusfaecalis were completely sensitive to vancomycin and teicoplanin,and highly sensitive to linezolid (resistance rate below 10％ ).Candida albicans and Candida glabrata were highly resistant to voriconazole and fluconazole (with the resistance rates of 47.2％ - 60.0％ ), but were completely sensitive to amphotericin and nystatin.Conclusion Gram-negative strains account for most urinary tract infections in the First Affiliated Hospital of Nanjing Medical University with high drug resistance rates.

Objective To explore the depression status of the liver transplant recipients after the surgery and the impact factors.Method Forty two liver transplant recipients were assessed at 5 different time points(1 month,6 months,12 months, 24 months,36 months after the transplantation)using general information questionnaire(GIQ),social support rating scale(SSRS) and self-rating depression scale(SDS).Results After the transplantation,the longer recipients lived,the less depression they underwent.Age and post-operative objective support are the two major factors on depression status of the liver transplant recipients Conclusion The clinical and community nurses may pay attention to the mind state of the recipients after liver transplantation,and provide mental nursing in time and social support to prevent and improve the state of their depression.

Objective To evaluate the anxiety and depression status of the liver transplant recipients and to investigate the related impact factors.Method Forty-two liver transplant recipients were under survey by General Information Questionnaire (GIQ),Social Support Rating Scale (SSRS),Self-rating Anxiety Scale (SAS) and Self-Rating Depression Scale (SDS) before and 1,6,12,24 and 36 months after operation.Result The mean anxiety scores before and 1,6,12,24 and 36 months after operation were 37.2 ± 5.3,32.2 ± 6.2,32.1 ± 6.6,31.9± 5.1,30.1 ± 4.6 and 28.5 ± 4.1,respectively.The mean depression scores at those 6 time points were 46.7 ± 7.1,37.9 ± 10.7,36.7 ±7.9,37.1 ± 6.4,34.3 ± 5.8 and 32.1 ± 5.6,respectively.Both the anxiety and depression scores showed statistically significant difference (P＜0).001) before and after operation (all time points).Also there was statistically significant difference (P＜0.001) between post-operative month 36 and other post-operative time points.The impact factors for anxiety of liver transplant recipients were subjective supports and the utilization level of the supports.The impact factors of depression of liver transplant recipients were pre-operative depression score,objective support,subjective supports and the utilization level of the supports.Conclusion Liver transplant recipients suffer less anxiety and depression after operation.The anxiety status can be further improved from 24 to 36 months postoperation.

Objective To quantitatively detect circulating DNA levels in the plasma of patients withcervical lesion and to determine the value for diagnosis of cervical lesion and cervical cancer . Methods Preoperative blood samples were collected from 53 cases of low-grade lesions, 49 cases of high-grade lesions, 44 cases of cervical invasive cancer and 70 cases of healthy women. Plasma DNA was extracted by magnetic bead method (BILATEST DNA kit). The quantity of plasma DNA was determined by duplex real-time quantitative PCR. Results Median plasma DNA level of invasive cervical cancer patients was 61. 59 mg/L (32. 06 - 162. 16 mg/L) , which was significantly higher than that of healthy women [16. 35 mg/L(11. 98 -22.71 mg/L), P < 0.01]. Among invasive cervical cancer patients, median plasma DNA level of squamous carcinoma patients was slightly higher than that of adenocarcinoma (50. 43 versus 47. 31 mg/L,P>0. 05). Median plasma DNA level of stage I patients was lower than that of stage Ⅱ- Ⅲ patients (46. 02 versus 71. 35 mg/L, P <0. 05). Conclusion Quantitatively detecting plasma circulating DNA may be with some application prospect in the diagnosis of cervical diseases.

Objective To evaluate the effects of a traditional Chinese medicine Rubia cordifolia L.aqueous extract (RCAE) on body weight, fat mass and parameters of glucose and lipid metabolism in high fat diet (HFD)-induced obese rats and its mechanism.Methods pGL3-Enhancer-PPARγ2 (625 bp)-Luc plasmid, a luciferase reportergene expression plasmid containing PPARγ2 promoter was constructed and stably transfected 3T3-L1 preadipocytes were established.PPARγ2 promoter`s activities in these cells were detected after administration with different concentration (0.1 mg/L~1 000 mg/L) of RCAE or with 100 mg/L RCAE for different action time.PPARγ2 mRNA expression in human adipocytes were detected after administration with 100 mg/L RCAE.Meanwhile, HFD-induced obese rats were administrated with low or high dose RCAE to investigate the effects of RCAE on serum glucose, lipid and insulin levels, body weight, visceral fat mass and so on.Results 10 mg/L RCAE could increase luciferase expression in 3T3-L1 cells to 1.43 folds of that in control group (P<0.01) and it reached 3.24 folds of that in control group when the concentration of RCAE was 1000 mg/L (P<0.01).With the administration with 100 mg/L RCAE, the luciferase activity of 3T3-L1 cells peaked at 28 h where it was 2.72 folds of that in control group (P<0.01), and the expression of PPARγ2 mRNA in human adipocytes increased to 2.27 folds of that in control group (P<0.01).Compared with HFD group, low dose RCAE significantly reduced the fasting insulin level, HOMA-IR and visceral fat mass (P<0.05).Conclusions Low dose RCAE significantly reduces the visceral fat mass and ameliorates insulin resistance in HFD-induced obese rats.The potential mechanism may be explained by the stimulation of PPARγ2 promoter activities and the increased expression of PPARγ2 gene.

Objective: To observe the quantity of Treg cells and Th17 cells in spleen of adult primary immune thrombocytopenic purpura (ITP) patients. Methods: 43 ITP cases with splenectomy treatment were enrolled from December 2008 to June 2016 at Union Hospital of Fujian Medical University, including 20 males and 23 females with a median age of 36 (18-76) years. The controls were thirty patients who underwent splenectomy because of pancreatic diseases or splenic impairment, including 21 males and 9 females with a median age of 47 (21-69) years. The quantity and ratio of Treg cells and Th17 cells were examined by immunohistochemistry between ITP patients and controls. Results: ①The quantity of Treg cells in ITP were less than controls[ (11.3±4.7) /mm² vs (59.0±15.0) /mm², t=-22.894, P<0.001], but Th17 cells were more than controls[ (235.2±69.4) /mm² vs (181.1±23.7) /mm², t=13.768, P<0.001]. So the ratio of Treg/Th17 in ITP was lower than controls (0.048±0.027 vs 0.328±0.086, t=19.522, P<0.001) . ② The quantity of Treg cells in cases without response after splenectomy were less than cases with response[ (9.5±5.0) /mm² vs (11.6±4.7) /mm², t=2.723, P=0.010], and there is no statistical differences between the two groups about the quantity of Th17 cells and the ratio of Treg/Th17 cells[ (232.3±80.8) /mm² vs (239.6±66.9) /mm², t=1.108, P=0.277; 0.040±0.024 vs 0.053±0.027, t=0.540, P=0.592]. Conclusions There is a significant difference about the quantity of Treg cells and Th17 cells in spleen between ITP patients and healthy controls, and they are relevant to the response after splenectomy.

Objective: To investigate factors affecting X-ray structure of the spine in patients with ankylosing spondylitis (AS). Methods: A total of 206 AS patients were recruited. Clinical and laboratory parameters in AS patients were recorded in detail. Disease activity index [Bath ankylosing spondylitis disease activity index (BASDAI), ankylosing spondylitis disease activity score (ASDAScrp)], X-ray structural damage index-modified stoke ankylosing spondylitis spine score (mSASSS) and grading results of radiographic examination of sacroiliac joint were calculated. Statistical analysis using Statistical Package form Soci-science(SPSS) 17.0 Chi-square test, rank test, Logistics regression analysis and other statistical methods were used. Differences of mSASSS levels, spine involvement (mSASSS>0) and rates of bone bridge formation were compared between different groups. Results: Incidences of spine involvement (100%) and bone bridge formation(65.2%) in AS patients ≥40 years old were significantly higher than those in AS patients <40 years old (90.6%、31.9%)(χ²=4.651, P=0.031; χ²=16.647, P<0.01), and the level of mSASSS was also higher (Z=5.575, P<0.01). In AS patients with BMI ≥24 kg/m², disease duration ≥5 years (49.2%, 50.4%), rates of bone bridge formation was significantly higher than those in AS with BMI <24 kg/m², but the disease duration (34.5%, 19.7%)(χ²=4.014, P=0.045; χ²=18.173, P=0.03), and mSASSS values were significantly higher (Z=2.281, P=0.023, Z=4.828, P<0.01). Bone bridge formation rate in smoking patients (50.6%) was significantly higher than that in non-smoking patients (31.0%) (χ²=7.346, P=0.007) and mSASSS value was significantly higher (Z=2.045, P=0.041). Bone bridge formation rates in AS with high-ESR and high-CRP(48.6%, 49.0%) were significantly higher than those in patients with normal-ESR and normal-CRP(25.6%, 28.9%)(χ²=10.784, P=0.001; χ²=8.102, P=0.004) and mSASSS value was clearly higher(Z=2.379, P<0.01; Z=3.112, P<0.01). Bone bridge formation rate in AS with BASDAI≥4 or ASDAScrp≥2.1 groups (52.8%, 46.4%) were significantly higher than that in AS with BASDAI<4 or ASDAScrp<2.1 groups (34.2%, 30.7%) (χ²=5.681, P=0.017; χ²=4.646, P=0.031) and mSASSS values were significantly higher (Z=3.887, P<0.01; Z=3.895, P=0.004). Rates of bone bridge formation among different X-ray grading of sacroiliac joint (10.8%, 35.6%, 60.3%) and MRI findings (33.3%, 50.0%, 15.4%) differed with each other (χ²=25.714, P<0.01; χ²=6.855, P=0.032). Logistics regression analysis showed that BMI [OR(95%CI)=1.145(1.037, 1.265), P<0.01], disease duration [OR(95%CI)=1.144(1.055, 1.239), P<0.01], smoking [OR(95%CI)=2.832(1.343, 5.969), P<0.01] and sacroiliac joint X-ray staging [OR(95%CI)=2.584(1.337, 4.997), P<0.01] were risk factors for the bone bridge formation in spine of AS. Conclusion Spinal involvement in AS is related to disease activity. Bone bridge formation correlateswith disease duration, BMI and disease-status, especially with smoking.
