Objective To study the mechanism of endoplamic reticulum stress(ERS)pretreatment induced by 2-DG on the auditory cortex injury after focal cerebral ischemia-reperfusion injury in rats. Methods The SD rats were randomly divided into 3 groups, sham group,I/R group, and ERS pretreatment group. Tread occlusion was used to prepare the model of MCAO in the mice for 60 min followed by reperfusion for 24 h. Neurological assessment was exercised and brain infarction volume was evaluated. The auditory brainstem response was tested. The pathological changes were observed by HE staining. Neurocyte apoptosis was observed by Tunel ,and the apop-tosis index(AI)was determined. Expression of GRP78 and Caspase-12 were detected by immunohistochemistry. Results Compared with the sham group, the neurological scores, ratio of infarct volume and the hearing thresh-olds in I/R group increased significantly. HE staining showed the normal structure disappeared ,and apoptotic index increased significantly. Expression of GRP78 and Caspase-12 protein significantly up-regulated. Compared with I/R group, the indicators above showed improvement to some degrees. Conclusions The ERS pretreatment can alleviate the ischemia-reperfusion injury and neuron apoptosis in auditory cortex ,and reduce the possibility of hearing loss.

Acute myocardial infarction (AMI) remains a leading cause of morbidity and mortality worldwide. The exploration of new biomarkers with high sensitivity and specificity for early diagnosis of AMI therefore becomes one of the primary task. In the current study, we aim to detect whether there is any heart specific long noncoding RNA (lncRNA) releasing into the circulation during AMI, and explore its function in the neonatal rat cardiac myocytes injury induced by H2O2. Our results revealed that the cardiac-specific lncRNA MHRT (Myosin Heavy Chain Associated RNA Transcripts) was significantly elevated in the blood from AMI patients compared with the healthy control (*p<0.05). Using an in vitro neonatal rat cardiac myocytes injury model, we demonstrated that lncRNA MHRT was upregulated in the cardiac myocytes after treatment with hydrogen peroxide (H2O2) via real-time RT-PCR (qRT-PCR). Furthermore, we knockdowned the MHRT gene by siRNA to confirm its roles in the H2O2-induced cardiac cell apoptosis, and found that knockdown of MHRT led to significant more apoptotic cells than the non-target control (**p<0.01), indicating that the lncRNA MHRT is a protective factor for cardiomyocyte and the plasma concentration of MHRT may serve as a biomarker for myocardial infarction diagnosis in humans AMI.

Journal of Clinical Otorhinolaryngology Head and Neck Surgery 2007;21(20):942-943
OBJECTIVE:
To investigate the effective method in treatment of pediatric chronic sinusitis.
METHOD:
Two hundred and ten children were clinically diagnosed as chronic sinusitis and randomly divided into three groups as pulmicort, rhinocort and routine treatment group, respectively. All the patients in different group were systemic treated by corresponding method for two weeks.
RESULT:
The effective rates were 84% for pulmicort treatment group, 61% for rhinocort treatment group and 48% for routine treatment group, so the effective rate for the patients treated with pulmicort were significantly higher than that with either rhinocort or routine treatment.
CONCLUSION
Pulmicort can be used to treat pediatric chronic sinusitis with higher effective rate.

Objective To study the effect and mechanism of endoplamic reticulum stress on the auditory cortex injury after focal cerebral ischemia-reperfusion injury in rats. Methods 30 healthy male adult SD rats were chosen and randomly divided into 2 groups,ischemia-reperfusion(I/R) group and sham operated control, with each group 15 rats. The rats in I/R group were operated for suture-occluded method to establish middle cerebral artery occlusionmodel(MCAO),with ischemia for 60 mins followed by reperfusion for 24 h.And the control group was only to be isolated cervical vessels, with no thread embolism inserted. The auditory brainstem response (ABR) was tested before operation and at 24 h post-operation respectively. The neurological deficits, ratio of infarct volume were evaluated. The pathological changes were observed by HE.Neurocyte apoptosis were observed by Tunel, and the AI were determined. The expression of GRP78,Caspase-12 were detected by immunohistochemistry and Western blotting. Results Compared with the sham group, the neurological function scores, the infarct volume of brain of I/R group increased significantly. The threshold of ABR elevated significantly and AI rised in I/R group.HE staining showed that the neurons in the sham group were arranged in order, the shape was normal, but in the I/R group the normal structure disappeared, the nuclei were condensed. The expression of GRP78,Caspase-12 protein were significantly up-regulated.All of the differences above have statistical significance(P<0.05).Conclusion The mechanism of hearing loss after focal cerebral ischemia-reperfusion injury in rats is perhaps related to endoplamic reticulum stress, and GRP78,Caspase-12 participate in the process of neuron apoptosis on auditory cortex caused by ERS.

Objective To evaluate the effect of LEARNS[listen(L),establish(E),adopt(A),reinforce(R),name(N),strengthen(S)]model health education for patients with peripherally inserted central catheter(PICC)after discharge. Methods From June 2020 to June 2021,193 discharged patients with PICC were selected as the study objects. They were divided into observation group(95 cases)and control group(98 cases)according to random number table method. The control group received routine health education and continued follow-up for 3 months. In the observation group, health education was constructed and implemented at 2,4,8 and 12 weeks after discharge based on the control group and the basis of LEARNS model. The incidence of PICC-related complications and PICC-related adverse events were compared between the two groups, and self-management ability was evaluated using cancer patients PICC self-management scale(CPPSMS)score, strategies used by people to promote health(SUPPH)were used to evaluate self-efficacy.Results The incidence of PICC-related complications and adverse events in the observation group were significantly lower than those in the control group[11.58%(11/95)vs.40.82%(40/98)and 6.32%(6/95)vs.22.45%(22/98),both P<0.05].There were no statistically significant differences in CPPSMS scores(daily catheter observation, maintenance compliance, management confidence, anomaly handling, information acquisition, tubeed exercise, and tubeed daily life)and SUPPH scores(positive attitude,self-stress reduction, and self-decision-making)in the two groups before intervention, and the above scores were higher than those before intervention. After intervention, the above scores in the observation group were significantly higher than those in the control group(CPPSMS total score was 131.37±27.20 vs.92.41±23.89,daily catheter observation score was 26.02±6.04 vs.18.27±5.43,maintenance compliance score was 18.45±4.36 vs.13.28±3.12,and management confidence score was 17.69±3.37 vs.13.81±3.65,anomaly processing score was 15.01±3.46 vs.10.25±2.74,information acquisition score was 11.98±2.56 vs.7.84±2.07,tube motion score was 15.94±3.46 vs.10.28±2.78,daily life with tubes score was 26.28±5.19 vs.18.68±4.46,all P<0.05;SUPPH total score was 106.54±20.84 vs.93.93±18.50,positive attitude score was 56.89±11.45 vs.49.34±10.56,self-stress reduction score was 38.25±8.73 vs.34.76±6.28,the self-decision-making score was 11.40±2.57 vs.9.83±2.96,all P<0.05).Conclusion The implementation of health education based on LEARNS model in discharged patients with PICC tube can improve their self-management ability and self-efficacy,and improve clinical prognosis.
