The student majoring in Medical Biological Technique will be mainly engaged in the practical work of biological technique industry after graduation in the future. In order to bind the theories on the practical biological techniques in designs of contents and roundly improve students' practical ability in classes as well as enriching the communication among students, our college offers an immunologic techniques experiment classes with 36 hours per semester, which has also undergone a reasonable project teaching innovation. This proved to result in a satisfactory outcome in improving the students' practical a

Objective To investigate the correlation between chronic hepatic diseases and small intestinal inflammation. Methods Patients who received capsule endoscopy in The First Affiliated Hospital of Guangdong Pharmaceutical University were divided into groups of liver cirrhosis,non-alcoholic fatty liver disease(NAFLD),chronic hepatitis and non-hepatic disease according to clinic data from August 2011 to August 2015.The severity of small intestinal mucosal inflammation was graded according to Lewis Scoring system and incidence of small intestinal lesions in different groups and Lewis scores were compared. The liver function was also graded with liver noninvasive scoring systems. Then the correlation between liver function damage and small intestinal lesions was investigated. Results A total of 338 cases were enrolled in the study, including 25 cases of liver cirrhosis,47 cases of NAFLD,20 cases of chronic hepaitis and 246 cases of non-hepatic disease. There were 22 (88.0%),36 (76.6%),12 (60.0%) and 78 (31.7%) cases with lesions in small intestine in the four group respectively with significant differences(P<0.001).Rate of small intestinal villi edema was significantly higher in liver cirrhosis group,NAFLD group, chronic hepatitis group than that in non-hepatic disease group(all P<0.017).Small intestinal villi edema was found mainly in the upper and one third of middle parts in small intestine (P =0.033).Lewis scores of liver cirrhosis group (190.80±228.42)and NAFLD group(125.38± 191.31) were higher than those of non-hepatic disease group (42.91±97.69,P=0.021,P =0.034).Forns score,FIB-4 score,NAFLD-FS score and Child-Pugh score were positively correlated with Lewis score (correlation coefficient:0.247,0.244,0.223,0.284respectively,all P<0.001).Conclusion Chronic hepatic diseases such as liver cirrhosis,NAFLD,chronic hepatitis might be risk factors for small intestinal mucosal inflammation, and the severity of chronic hepatic diseases may be positively correlated with that of small intestinal mucosal lesions.

Objective To test and eva1uate the abi1ity of three potential chloroplast DNA (cpDNA) barcoding sequences; To find new methods to identify the species of gardenia. Methods Three cpDNA sequences were amplified and sequenced by universal primers of matK, rbcL and psbA. By comparing PCR amplification efficiency, length, intra-and inter-specific divergence, and barcoding gap, BLAST and DNA MAN were used to evaluate these loci. Results The amplification efficiency of 5 samples from 3 gardenia species was 100%. Analysis of the intra-and inter-specific divergence of matK among the sequences showed that barcoding gap was superior to psbA and rbcL, with higher identification efficiency. Conclusion Gardenia jasminoides Ellis can be better identified by matK sequence.

Objective To develop a sensitive liquid chromatography-tandem mass spectrometric (LC-MS/MS) method for the determination of forsklin in rat plasma. Methods After extraction with methyl tert-butyl ether, chromatographic separation was performed on a C18 column with the mobile phase consisting of water ( 0.1% formic acid)-acetonitrile in a gradient elution mode.A tandem mass spectrometer equipped with electrospray ionization (ESI) source was used as detector in the positive ion mode.Quantification was performed using multiple reaction monitoring (MRM) with the precursor product combination ions of m/z 411→375.3 and 285→193 for forsklin and diazepam. Results Good linearity was obtained in the 0.5-1000 ng/ml range for the analyte and the analytical method was validated in terms of specificity, precision, accuracy, recovery, stability and matrix effect. These assays gave RSD values always lower than 14.4% and RE values between -3.5 % and 3.8%.In addition, the specificity, extraction recovery, stability and matrix effect were satisfactory. Conclusion Due to its high sensitivity, specificity and simplicity, the method could be used for pharmacokinetic studies of forsklin.

OBJECTIVETo investigate the clinicopathologic features and differential diagnoses of non-involuting congenital hemangioma (NICH) in children.
METHODSThe clinical, morphologic and immunophenotypic characteristics of 22 cases of NICH were retrospectively analyzed.
RESULTSThe mean patients' age at diagnosis was 4.2 years, with a male to female ratio of 1.75:1. The tumors were located in the head and face (5 cases), neck (3 cases), body (6 cases), upper limbs (5 cases), and lower limbs (3 cases). Histologically, the tumor was dominated by rather large lobules of small vessels that were mostly rounded, curved, small and thin-walled, and were lined by endothelial cells surrounded by one or more layers of pericytes. The center of the lobules was occupied by one or more thin or thick walled vessels, which were surrounded by fibrous and fatty tissue, which contained abnormal arterial and venous structures. At the edge of the lobules there were lymphatic vessels. Immunohsitochemical study showed that tumor cells in NICH were positive for CD34 (22/22), CD31 (22/22), SMA (22/22), vimentin (22/22) and Glut1 (0/22). D2-40 expression was located at the edge of the capillary lobules.
CONCLUSIONSNICH is a benign lesion. Clinically and pathologically, it needs to be differentiated from rapidly involuting congenital hemangioma, infantile hemangiomas, tufted angioma, vascular malformation, and others.

Dental hard tissues lack the ability to self-heal. In dentin and cementum, hydroxyapatite (HA) can exist outside and/or inside collagen fibers. It is difficult to repair or regenerate HA with a highly ordered orientation in the presence of collagen fibers. At present, the biomimetic mineralization of dentin and cementum, mainly carried out by imitating its biological formation process and its physiological structure, can be divided into those originating from the fiber mineralization mechanism and those with HA as the main component. The materials used include natural materials such as demineralized dentin matrix (DDM) and calcined bovine hydroxyapatite (BHA), and synthetic materials such as polymer-induced liquid precursor (PILP) and synthetic HA. In the future, natural materials and synthetic materials should be combined for the restoration and regeneration of dentin and cementum by means of biomimetic mineralization of calcium phosphate released by remineralization solution-HA.
