1.Research progress on competency models for practitioners in the field of nutrition and food hygiene
Chinese Journal of Medical Education Research 2021;20(4):409-412
This paper reviews the currently research on competency of practitioners in the field of nutrition and food hygiene at home and abroad. Through literature review, it's found that the there are few researches on competency in China at present. Furthermore, compared with foreign countries, there are several issues in China, such as the methods and index system setting. However, due to different national conditions, there are significant differences in the demand for nutrition and food hygiene practitioners, related disciplines and characteristics between China and abroad. Therefore, when drawing lessons from foreign models, we should appropriately make adjustments according to China's national conditions. This review will provide references for further research on establishing a set of scientific and standardized competency evaluation indexes for practitioners in the field of nutrition and food hygiene with Chinese characteristics.

Objective To investigate the value of early?phase enhancement ratio combined with peripheral vascular diameter in the differential diagnosis of benign and malignant breast lesions using 3.0 T dynamic contrast?enhanced magnetic resonance imaging (DCE?MRI). Methods Sixty seven cases of patients (35 with malignant lesions and 32 with benign lesions in the breasts) were retrospectively analyzed. Their diagnoses were confirmed by surgery and pathology and all the patients underwent breast MRI plain scan and DCE?MRI in the two weeks before surgery. Lesion ROIs were drawn and time?signal intensity curves in the DCE?MRI were generated. Early?phase enhancement rate, time to peak, early?phase enhancement ratio, numbers of tumor vessel within 3 cm of the lesion and diameter of the largest vessel were recorded. Mann?Whitney U test was used to compare the difference of DCE?MRI between benign and malignant lesions, and the ROC curve was used to evaluate the efficiency of early?phase enhancement rate, early?phase enhancement ratio and vascular diameter in differentiating benign and malignant lesions. Results With breast malignant lesions, the medians of time to peak, early?phase enhancement rate, early?phase enhancement ratio, numbers of tumor vessel and vascular diameter were 2.2 s, 176.0%, 100.0%, 4 and 2.96 mm respectively, while with benign lesions of these parameters were 4.7 s, 113.3%, 81.9%, 0 and 0.00 mm respectively, and the differences were statistically significant (all P<0.05).When early?phase enhancement rate was used for differential diagnosis of breast benign and malignant lesions, the area under the ROC curve was 0.702 and the sensitivity and specificity were 82.86%and 56.25%with a threshold of 120.0%. When early?phase enhancement ratio was used, the area under the ROC curve was 0.854 and the sensitivity and specificity were 94.29% and 68.75% with a threshold of 86.0%. When peripheral vascular diameter was used, the area under the ROC curve was 0.896 and the sensitivity and specificity were 74.29%and 84.38% with a threshold of 2.78 mm. When early?phase enhancement ratio was combined with peripheral vascular diameter, the area was 0.925 and the sensitivity and specificity were 97.14% and 62.50%. Conclusion In the differential diagnosis of benign and malignant breast lesions under DCE?MRI, early?phase enhancement ratio combining with peripheral vascular diameter has improved sensitivity.

Objective To prove the remarkable inhibitive effect of multiple siRNAs targeting a proliferation-inducing ligand (APRIL) on the human colorectal cancer cell. Methods We constructed a multiple short hairpin RNA(shRNA) expression vector containing four shRNAs (pG4) as well as four single one (pGsh644,pGsh1451,pGsh1938,pGsh2231) against APRIL gene in SW480 cell, and then transfected them into the human colorectal cancer cell line by cationic liposome.Ultimately,SW480 were screened by EGFP to obtain expression cell lines.APRIL expression levels including mRNA and APRIL protein were detected after transfected with all different kinds of vectors. Results A multiple shRNA expression vector containing four shRNAs (pG4) and four single ones were successfully constructed.Four single vectors (pGsh644,pGsh1451,pGsh1938,pGsh2231) and the multiple siRNAs expression vector (pG4) all decreased the APRIL mRNA by 56.2%,49.5% ;50.9%,49.2% and 79.3%.And APRIL protein expression was also remarkably reduced, especially by multiple siRNAs expression vector(87.5%).Conclusion Multiple siRNAs expression vector produced a more significant knockdown effect of APRIL than the vectors containing only one APRIL shRNA.What we found suggested us using the vector containing multiple shRNA to silence the expression of APRIL might be exploited as a novel therapeutic strategy for tumors.
8.Detection of sinus arrhythmia and atrial arrhythmia based on base-scale entropy.
Journal of Biomedical Engineering 2009;26(6):1234-1236
As is known in literature, the Base-scale Entropy Measure is useful for analyzing short-term heart rate variability signals. In this study, the method is applied to detect cardiac arrhythmias, including sinus and atrial arrhythmia. We detect and analyze normal sinus rhythm (NSR), atrial premature contraction (APC) and sinus bradycardia (SBR) signals. The selected data of NSR are obtained from the MIT-BIH normal sinus database, while others are from the MIT-BIH arrhythmia database. The results show the Base-scale Entropy can also detect sinus and atrial arrhythmia.

9.Evaluation of Animal Models of Acute Lung Injury Caused by Non-physical Factors Based on Data Mining
Chinese Journal of Experimental Traditional Medical Formulae 2023;29(23):158-165
ObjectiveTo study the characteristics of animal models of acute lung injury caused by non-physical factors, so as to provide a reference for the standardization of the preparation of such animal models and lay a foundation for the research on the pathogenesis and the diagnosis and treatment of acute lung injury. MethodThe articles about the animal experiments of acute lung injury published in the last decade were retrieved from China National Knowledge Infrastructure (CNKI), Wanfang, SinoMed, VIP, and PubMed with the theme terms of "acute lung injury" and "animal model". The animal species, drugs used in modeling, modeling period, methods used in molding, model standards, and model evaluation indicators were summarized, and Excel was used for the frequency analysis. ResultA total of 338 articles were included in this study. The results of the frequency analysis showed that SD rats/C57BL/6 mice were mainly used to establish the animal models of acute lung injury. Male mice were mostly used for modeling, and the commonly used modeling agent was lipopolysaccharides (LPS). In most cases, the modeling lasted for 6 h after drug administration. Hematoxylin-eosin staining was mainly used for the observation of histological changes in the lungs, which were taken as the criteria for modeling. The established models were mainly evaluated based on lung dry/wet weight ratio, lung index, morphological changes in the lung tissue, myeloperoxidase (MPO), superoxide dismutase (SOD), and levels of inflammatory cytokines in the serum and bronchoalveolar lavage fluid (BALF). ConclusionThe models of acute lung injury were mostly prepared by intraperitoneal injection of LPS (5 mg·kg-1) in SD rats and tracheal instillation of LPS (5 mg·kg-1) in C57BL/6 mice, which were praised for the simple operation, high success rate, and consistent with the pathogenesis of acute lung injury. This study provides a reference for the basic research on acute lung injury by animal experiments.

Psychiatry Investigation 2024;21(7):710-717
Objective:
This study aimed to explore the psychiatric symptoms and associated risk and protective factors among religious adolescents after 2-month home confinement against coronavirus disease-2019 (COVID-19) in China.
Methods:
11,603 Chinese adolescents in grades 7–9 were recruited in this survey. An online survey was designed to collect the data. Participants were measured using the Patient Health Questionnaire-9 and Generalized Anxiety Disorder-7 Scale.
Results:
Religious adolescents showed significantly more severe depressive and anxiety symptoms compared to non-religious. 249 (2.2%) reported COVID-19 exposure. Logistic regression analysis revealed that religiosity was a risk factor for the symptoms of depression (p=0.001) and anxiety (p<0.001). Moreover, among those adolescents with religious beliefs, psychological resilience was protective in preventing depressive and anxiety symptoms. At the same time, emotional abuse, emotional neglect, and a poor parent-child relationship were risk factors.
Conclusion
Our finding indicates that religious adolescents easily develop depressive and anxiety symptoms, compared to non-religious adolescents. Moreover, those with emotional abuse, emotional abuse, and poor parent-child relationships are more likely to suffer from mental distress and should pay more attention to cope with their mental health.
