Objective To investigate the new epidemiology and clinical manifestation of measles in children in recent years. Methods One hundred and twenty-eight cases of children′s measles were collected, and their epidemiological and clinical characteristics of age distribution, endemic distribution, vaccination, clinical manifestation, complication and misdiagnosis were discussed. Results Among the patients living in urban,90% cases were single dose vaccination,35% cases were between 3-8 years old,27% cases were less than 8 months old,59% cases were mild measles,27% cases were atypical measles,40% cases were misdiagnosed at first visit, and 67% cases of measles less than 8 months old were babies of vaccine immunized mother.Among the patients living in rural,68% cases had no vaccination,86% cases were at age of typical onset,61% cases were typical measles,7% cases were severe measles, and 28% cases were mild measles.Among all cases of measles, mild measles and atypical measles were as high as 41% and 16%,but typical measles were only 37%.In all patients,56% cases had typical measles rash,82% cases had Koplik′s spots,77% cases had typical onset of eruption,100% cases had higher fever in eruption stage,89% cases had typical downward sequence of eruption,93% cases had skin pigmentation, and 81% cases had desquamation. Conclusions Less than 8 months infants and single dose vaccinated pre-school children are newly susceptible group of measles.Mild measles and atypical measles markedly increased, with atypical clinical symptoms, variable rash and variant onset, but the character of aggravated fever in eruption stage scarcely changes.Infants of vaccine immunized mother and pre-school children are advised to vaccinate ahead of schedule.

Technological improvement for microorgnism isolation is important since isolation provides substantial materials for the exploitation of new microbial resources. In this study, a new approach, dispersion and differential cetrifugation (DDC), was applied in the isolation of acidophilic and acidoduric streptomycetes from 12 acid soil samples. Contrast with traditional method, the new approach yielded satisfying results with 2 - 20 times isolation efficiency and good selectivity. 45 representatives out of 249 streptomycetes isolates, which belonged to 12 color groups, showed morphology and cell wall type consistent with streptomycetes. The optimum pH range for their growth were between pH 4.5 - 5.5. It is proved that we succeeded in the rare-streptomycetes isolation using DDC approach.

AIMTo develop a new synthetic route for olmesartan medoxomil.
METHODSOlmesartan medoxomil was prepared from ethyl 4-(1-hydroxy-1-methylethyl)-2-propylimidazole-5-carboxylate via hydrolysis and lactonization to afford 4,4- dimethyl-2-propyl-4,6-dihydrofuro [3,4-d]-1H-imidazole-6-one which was condensed with 2-(triphenylmethyl)-5-[4'-(bromomethylbiphenyl)-2-yl] tetrazole, followed by esterification with 4-chloromethyl-5-methyl-1,3-dioxol-2-one, and deprotection. The chemical structure of the major impurity in condensation reaction is the regio-isomer in the imidazole moiety, and confirmed by single crystal X-ray diffraction. The corresponding regio-isomer of olmesartan medoxomil was synthesized from the impurity by similar method. Optimization of the condensation conditions reduced the impurity to a negligible quantity.
RESULTSSynthesis of olmesartan medoxomil by the new route gave a product of 60% yield and above 99.0% purity. The content of olmesartan medoxomil regio-isomer was effectively controlled to less than 0.1%.
CONCLUSIONA novel synthetic route for olmesartan medoxomil was developed successfully. The olmesartan medoxomil regio-isomer is reported for the first time.

Microbiology 2008;0(10):-
Psychrotrophs were isolated by using four media from low-temperature sewage of sewage treatment plant in Urumqi, Xinjiang. Totally, 154 strains were obtained including 12 filamentous fungi, 46 yeasts, 6 actinomycetes and 90 bacteria. The results of tolerance tests of the isolates to salt, phenol and SDS, and enzyme producing characters of amylase, proteinase and esterase were shown. Then 60 bacterial strains were chosen for 16S rRNA gene sequencing and analysis. The blasting results showed that the strains were assigned to 13 recognized genera , and the Strain 39 exhibited 96.6% similarity to Acinetobacter lwoffii(DSM2403), indicating that it might be a novel species. These results suggested that there were a lot of psychrotrophs and rich bacterial diversity in low-temperature sewage. In addition, which maybe an important and potential library of microbial resources.
9.Effect of two radial artery puncture methods on the neonatal blood collection
Chinese Journal of Modern Nursing 2012;18(3):261-263
Objective To explore touch puncture method and wired positioning puncture method on the neonatal blood collection via radial artery. Methods Totals of 600 newborns needed blood collection via radial artery were randomly into experimental group and control group, per group 300 cases.Control group received traditional touch method to puncture, while experimental group on the bases of puncture method received anatomy wired positioning puncture. Then, the success ratio of one-time puncture, puncture time and complications were compared. Results The success ratio of one-time puncture of experimental group was 96.0% higher than control group that was 88.3%,and the difference was statistically significant( x2 =12.21,P<0.01) ;Puncture time of experimental group was(2.82 ±0.24) min lower than control group that was (3.93 ± 0.50) min,and the difference was statistically significant ( t =9.897,P < 0.01 ) ; The incidence of complications of experimental group was 3.3% lower than control group that was 7.6%,and the difference was statistically significant (x2 =5.44,P < 0.05 ).Conclusions Anatomy wired positioning method using in neonatal blood collection has a strong operability and high puncture success ratio, which deserves to be spread and used in the clinic.

Journal of Central South University(Medical Sciences) 2006;31(6):883-887
OBJECTIVE:
To explore the effects of advanced glycation end products (AGEs) on the activity of NF-kappaB and fibronectin (Fn) synthesis in the endothelial cells in aged rats.
METHODS:
Endothelial cells were cultured in M199 from the aorta of 24 month old rats and divided into 3 groups: Group A (5 mmol/L glucose) as controls, Group B (25 mg/L AGEs for 48 h), and Group C (50 mg/L AGEs for 48 h). The activity of NF-kappaB was evaluated by immunofluorescence and the expression of Fn mRNA was measured by reverse transcription-polymerase chain reaction (RT-PCR).
RESULTS:
Compared with the controls, AGEs induced the activity of NF-kappaB and increased the Fn mRNA expression in a concentration-dependent manner (P<0.05).
CONCLUSION
The activity of NF-kappaB and up-regulated expression of Fn mRNA induced by AGEs may contribute to chronic complications of diabetes.
