Chinese Journal of Clinical Pharmacology and Therapeutics 2002;0(05):-
The QUOROM statement means a set of quality standards of Meta analysis report. It comprises a checklist and a flowchart for reporting a Meta analysis. They are primarily used in writing, reviewing or evaluating reports of Meta analysis for simple two group, parallel RCTs. The statement is a continually evolving document. A few international medical journals have endorsed the QUOROM statement and require authors submitting manuscripts for publication to include all the information on the checklist and flowchart of QUOROM statement. Based on introducing the background, processes of forming QUOROM statement and reviewing the contents and requirements of QUOROM, we prepare this paper, hoping to improve the quality of Meta analysis report for randomized controlled clinical trials in our country. Some comments and suggestions are given at the same time.

Journal of Applied Clinical Pediatrics 2004;0(12):-
Objective To explore the relationship between serum advanced glycation end products(AGEs) levels in gestation diabetic mother(GDM) and cardiovascular function of newborn infants. Methods Sixty mid-gestation GDM and 72 late-gestation GDM fulfilling the inclusion criteria were recruited,72 mid-gestation and 80 late-gestation mothers with no pregnancy complications were collected as controls.Fasting blood glucose and serum AGEs levels were analyzed in each group.Clinical data of GDM and their babys were collected.Accor-ding to cardiovascular function of neonates, these neonates were divided into 2 groups:normal neonate group with normal cardiovascular function and anormal neonate group with anormal cardiovascular function.Maternal serum AGEs levels, blood glucose between mid-gestation groups and late-gestation groups were compared.Factors which affected the prevalence of complications of fetal outcome in GDM were analyzed. Results 1.Mid-gestation and late-gestation GDM groups had higher serum AGEs levels and fasting blood glucose compared with those of their respective controls(Pa0.05).3.Abnormal fetal outcome in GDM had significantly higher maternal serum AGEs levels than that in controls with normal fetal outcome(P

Chinese Journal of Diabetes 1995;0(04):-
Objective To survey the prevalence of diabetes mellitus in adults of urban inhabitants of Shanghai. Methods Of 9376 adults aged 30 years and over, 1137 whose capillary blood glucose concentrations≥6. 7mmol/L 2 hours after 100g steam-bread meal underwent to OGTT and measurement of height.body weight and WHR. WHO (1985) standard was used as diagnostic criteria, the results were compared with those diagnosed with ADA (1997) criteria. Results According to WHO criteria, the prevalence rates of DM was 4. 16 %,and the prevalence rate of IGT was 4. 26%. But according to ADA(1997) criteria, the prevalence rate of DM was 4. 76%. The prevalence rate of DM and IGT were significantly increased with increasing age in those aged over 40. The prevalence rates of DM and IGT were much higher in patients with BMI≥25 than in those with BMI

Alcoholic liver disease ( ALD ) , a chronic progres-sive disease, threatens human health seriously. An increasing number of studies have shown that gut flora dysbiosis plays an important role in the development of ALD. Intestinal microbiota maintains a steady state under normal conditions, regulating gut flora normal physiological function. However, chronic alcohol consumption produces intestinal bacteria overgrowth and dysbio-sis, including the alteration of the composition of intestinal mi-croflora, the increment of gut permeability and bacterial translo-cation. Subsequently, the host immune is activated, promoting the production of inflammatory cytokines in liver, which plays a central role in the development of ALD. Notably, the supple-ment of prebiotics or probiotics reverses the intestinal flora disor-der,ameliorating the clinical symptoms effectively in ALD pa-tients. The evidence impies that the modulation of dysbiosis may be effective in the prevention and treatment of ALD. This review summarizes the research progress on the mechanism of the devel-opment of dysbiosis-mediated ALD, to provide a theoretical basis for the research on intestinal flora and ALD.

Objective To understand and raise the level of osteopomsis-relied knowledge, attitudes and behaviors for prevention and treatment of osteoperosis(OP)in residents of a community. Methods A survey was performed with a questionnaires method targeting at the elderly residents in Changfeng community. The survey was conducted with a specifically designed questionnaire, followed by a second survey.during which health edueafion was stressed.Data were analyzed with SPSS 11.0 software. Results In 3524 residents.3367 responded positively. The ratio of male to female was 1:2.10.The average age of the respondents was 61.34 years. They demonstrated a low level of OP KAP.76.72% of them heard the term of OP,60.11% had a correct judgment of their own bone heahh,42.26% knew the cause of OP.and 37.75% understood the diagnostic method of OP.The level of OP KAP varied in different groups of targeted residents.Of all the questions.the understanding of the diagnosis ranked the lowest.2281 people participated in the second survey, which showed improvement in their OP KAP.The difference was statistically significant.1439 people auended the consultation.99.86% of them considered the activities necessary,96.92% expressed their satisfaction, and 98.54% planed tO take measures to improve their bone health. Conclusion The poor understanding of bone heaith status and the knowledge about prevention and treatment of OP is why it is widely spread in the modem society, which however Call be improved by education.

Objective To summarize the measures for nursing mechanical ventilated patients who suffered from respiratory failure caused by acute severe organophosphorus pesticide poisoning (ASOPP). Method Retrospectively, the nursing clinical data of 18 mechanically ventilated patients who suffered from ASOPP-induced respiratory failure in ICU from January 2013 to December 2014 were analyzed for summarizing the nursing measures concerning preventive extubation, airway humidification and sputum sucking, prevention of ventilator-associated pneumonia and final extubation. Result Sixteen ASOPP patients successfully recovered after hospital discharge and another two died from multiple organ function failure because of excessive pesticides. Conclusions Effective observation and nursing care of airways based on their characteristics in ASOPP patients including prevention of unexpected shedding , appropriate humidity of airways and prevention of infection of ventilator-associated pneumonia(VAP). All of these measures can reduce complications and contribute to the early recovery of patients.

Objective:Through statistical analysis the situation of Nanjing General Hospital scientific research articles to be embodied by the international authority retrieval tool, appraises the hospital scientific research level and the academic status, provides the basis for the hospital administratives in the development of medical department and the training of talent aspect. Methods:With the aid of the MEDLINE retrieval method, analyzes all the Nanjing General Hospital scientific research ariticles, the number of articles in Chinese or foreign language and their distributed situation in the domestic and foreign periodicals from 1996 to 2005.Results:The articles embodied in near five-year show increased year by year, especially for the English articles. But the rank from first to fifth periodicals were published in China, and the number of articles in Chinese was beyond it in foreign language. Conclusion:The results show the international communication and the articles in English are value more and more in Nanjing General Hospital. But it is need to increased the number of articles in the external periodicals, especially the periodical be embodied by 《SCI》.They will advance the development the academic status and scientific research level in the hospital.
