Objective To quantitatively analyze the energy loss (EL) in left ventricle with vector flow mapping (VFM) in hypertensive patients, and try to reveal the correlation of EL with cardiac structure and function. Methods Hypertension group:52 hypertensive individuals were enrolled in our study, divided into 4 subgroups:①14 patients with normal geometry(NG);②20 patients with concentric remodeling(CR);③15 patients with concentric hypertrophy(CH);④3 patients with eccentric hypertrophy(EH)(not enrolled in subgroup analysis).Health control group were composed of 32 healthy volunteers.LVEF,LVMI and E/e′ were measured. And the EL in left ventricle was measured at different phases and different segments based on VFM images. Results ①EL comparison:in the phrase of late diastole(DL),isovolumic contraction(IVC) and rapid ejection(RE),compared with the control group,EL in entirety and each segment of left ventricle in hypertension group increased (P<0.05);Compared with the control group,EL in entirety and each segment of left ventricle in each subgroup of hypertension increased (P<0.05);EL among different subgroups showed no statistically significant difference(P>0.05);②Correlation analysis:in the phrase of DL,IVC and RE,EL in entirety and each segment of left ventricle showed significant positive correlations with LVMI and with E/e′ (P<0.05).In the phrase of DL,EL in entirety and each segment of left ventricle showed significant negative correlations with LVEF(P<0.05).Conclusions EL measured quantitatively by VFM is more sensitive to reflect the changes of hemodynamic in hypertensive individuals.EL is closely correlated with cardiac structure and function.

At present, antibacterial drugs are widely used in the clinical treatment of infectious diseases. It is particularly impor-tant to focus on the safety of antibacterial drugs for the application improvement in the clinical treatment. The paper reviewed and sys-tematically analyzed the relative literatures in order to explain the pathomechanism of drug-induced renal injury caused by antibacterial drugs and propose some preventive measures. The study suggested that attention should be paid to the distribution and characteristics of the adverse drug reaction of antibacterial drugs to ensure the safe and proper administration of the drugs.

Objective To establish real-time fluorescence quantitative polymerase chain reaction(RFQ-PCR) for measurement of the expression level of a proliferation-inducing ligand(APRIL)and its receptors in children with non-Hodgkin′s lymphoma(NHL).Met-hods Specific primers and TaqMan probes of APRIL and its receptors had been designed, and fluorescence of the PCR products were detected continuously during amplification.According to the standard curves created by plasmid DNA,the expression level of target genes in clinical samples had been determined using software, and these results were presented as the ratios of target genes′ mRNA to ?2 microg-luobulin(?2M)′s mRNA.Results The detection range of RFQ-PCR was between 101-109 ng/L,the coefficient of variation values for both intra-experimental and inter-experimental reproducibility ranged from 1.68% to 5.97% and 6.40% to 10.58%,respectively.The results from 22 samples showed that the expression level of APRIL,B cell maturation antigen(BCMA) and transmembrane activator and calcium modulator and cyclophilin ligand(TACI) in peripheral blood of NHL were significantly higher than those in normal children(P

The potential effect of donor CD4+ CD25+ regulatory T ceLls on the suppression of rejection for allogenetic islet transplantation in vivo was investigated. CD4+ CD25+ regulatory T cells were generated by magnetic activated cell sorting and were ailogeneically transfered with islet transplantation in streptozotocin-induced diabetic BALB/cByJ mice. The results showed that allogeneic CD4+ CD25+ regulatory T cells prolong islet graft survival and normoglycemia in transplanted allogeneic diabetic mice.

Objective To evaluate the diagnostic value of CT and PET-CT characteristics in predicting the presence of epidermal growth factor receptor(EGFR) gene mutations in lung adenocarcinomas. Methods One hundred and sixty-eight lung adenocarcinomas cases confirmed by pathology were enrolled in our study. They were divided into EGFR gene mutations group (89 cases) and wild types group (79cases) according to whether EGFR gene mutation occurred. All patients underwent CT examination. Seventy-five patients underwent PET-CT examination, including 37 gene mutationsand 38 wild types. The demographic (the patients' age, the gender and smoking history), CT characteristics(lobulation, cavitation, spiculation, pleural-indentation, air-bronchogram, ground glass opacity/tumor ratio(G/T) and the maximum diameter of tumor(Dmax)) and PET-CT characteristics(the maximum standardized uptake value, (SUVmax))between these two groups were retrospectively compared. The independent sample t test was used to analyze the
difference between these two groups regarding the patients' age,Dmax,SUVmax. The χ2 test was used to demonstrate the difference between these two groups regarding the gender, smoking history and CT features including lobulation, cavitation, spiculation, pleural-indentation, air-bronchogram and G/T.The trend analysis between SUVmax and EGFR gene mutations was performed by usingχ2 test for trend. Results No significant difference was found regarding partial CT characteristics of lesions including lobulation, cavitation, spiculation, pleural-indentation, air-bronchogram (P>0.05),however, the Dmax of EGFR gene mutations group and wild types group were(2.53±1.39),(3.00±1.77)cm, respectively. The amount of G/T>50%in EGFR gene mutations group and wild types group was 21 and 5, respectively. Significant differences were found regarding the G/T and Dmax(χ2=9.538, P<0.05;t=1.974,P<0.05). The SUVmax in EGFR gene mutations group (37 cases) and wild types group (38 cases) were 5.13 ± 4.35 and 9.64 ± 5.12, respectively. Significant difference was found regarding SUVmax(t=4.104, P<0.05). The sensitivity and specificity in predicting EGFR gene mutations were 24%and 93%, respectively, using G/T>50%as diagnostic criterion. Receiver operating characteristic (ROC) results indicated Dmax=1.85 cm was the optimal value in predicting EGFR gene mutations, with the sensitivity and specificity of 76% and 42%, respectively. Meanwhile, SUVmax=6.85 was the optimal value, with the sensitivity and specificity of 71% and 73%, respectively. Moreover,χ2 test for trend showed that an obvious trend was found to associate SUVmax with the incidence of EGFR gene mutations (χ2=15.755, P<0.05). Conclusion SUVmax may be helpful in predicting EGFR gene mutations in lung adenocarcinomas with relatively high diagnostic value.
