1.The role of psychological stress and the hypothalamic pituitary adrenal axis in the pathophysiology of central serous chorioretinopathy
International Eye Science 2009;9(5):809-811
Central serous chorioretinopathy (CSC) is characterized by serous detachment of the sensory retina as a consequence of the focal leakage of fluid from the choriocapillaries to subretinal space through a defect of the retinal pigment epithelium(RPE). The exact cause of CSC is not well unknown. Psychological stress is thought to contribute to CSC, but the physiologic mechanisms are unclear. It is hypothesized that psychological stress can induce CSC through the mechanism of the hypothalamic-pituitary-adrenal (HPA) system. Psychological stress can adversely affect HPA axis and causes glucocorticoid levels to elevate. Increased glucocorticoids constrict choroid vessels, which leads to ischemia of choroids and damage vascular endothelial cells, thus causing vasopermeability to increase. RPE dysfunction will occur as a result of abnormalities in the choroidal circulation. The large molecules including protein may enter the subretinal space through the damaged vessels and RPE.

Objective To explore the histocompatibility and plasticitity of hydroxyapatite/high-density polyethylene composite (HMPE). Design Experimental study. Participants Forty-five rabbits. Methods Rabbits were randomly devided into HA/PE, HA and PE surgical groups, every group included 15 rabbits. Osteoeetomy of orbital rim and implantation (HA/PE, HA and PE materials were used) were performed on 3 groups of the rabbits. At 1st week, 4th week, 8th week, 12th week and 24th week of postoperation, we took out the samples from the rabbits separately in each group and did histopathologic and electron microscope examinations. Main Outcome Measures Physical signs of the implant combination with the bone. The bone cell appeared in the implants. Results After 12 weeks, the calcium salts deposit like bone plate with some osteoblast inside the HA/PE implants was observed. After 8 weeks, the calci- um salts deposit inside the HA plants was observed. In the PE implants, nothing could be seen but some fibrous connective tissue. Conclusion HMPE is an ideal repair material especially for orbital bone.

Objective To explore the preventive effect of early bowel intervention on the gastrointestinal dysfunction in patients with invasive mechanical ventilation. Methods Sixty patients with invasive mechanical ventilation were equally randomly divided into the observation group and the control group.patlents in the control group were treated by conventional nursing care, while Patients in the observation group were given the early bowel intervention including abdominal massage and stimulation of rectum. The two groups were compared in terms of gastrointestinal dysfunction.Result The rate of gastrointestinal dysfunction in the observation group was significantly lower than that of the control group(P<0.05).Conclusion The early bowel intervention may effectively promote intestinal peristalsis, protect the intestinal digestion, absorption of nutrients and mucosal barrier function and prevent gastrointestinal dysfunction in patients with invasive mechanical ventilation during enteral nutrition.

Journal of Central South University(Medical Sciences) 2013;38(11):1177-1187
Despite seminal studies in the 1920s by Warburg showing a characteristic metabolic pattern for tumors, cancer bioenergetics has otfen been relegated to the backwaters of cancer biology. Recent studies have shown that metabolism in the tumor tissue is far more complicated than we previously knew. Despite vigorous glycolysis, in fact, the tumor tissue still retains mitochondrial aerobic metabolism. Mitochondria is one of the main sites of the biosynthesis process of tumor cells. Recent studies revealed that abnormal fatty acid metabolism. Amino acid metabolism plays a key role in the tumorigenesis. The metabolic network in tumor cells was reprogrammed, leading to nutrition lfux reorganization and re-direction. Metabolism reprogramming in tumor cells facilitates the balance between the needs of energy supply and the synthesis of biological macromolecules. Targeting cell metabolism is not intended to interfere the energy supply of tumor cells but to affect the synthesis of metabolic rate, thereby inhibiting the proliferation of the tumor. hTe review focuses on the importance of metabolic reprogramming in tumor development and cancer therapy. We summarize what is currently known about metabolic reprogramming and establish a framework to understanding its contribution to the altered metabolism of cancer cells.

Objective:To analyze the current hotspots of international research on patient safety in recent 10 years, and to provide reference for the scientific research and practical management of patient safety in China. Methods:Based on Web of Science database, CiteSpace visual analysis software was used to analyze the related literature on patient safety collected from January 2009 to December 2018. Word frequency analysis and Co-word clustering were performed on research institutions, authors, countries, journals, cited literature and high frequency keywords. Results:At present, the international research on patient safety is mainly concentrated in European and American higher educational institution with Harvard University as the core; the core journals are The Journal of the American Medical Association, New England Journal of Medicine, Lancet and other journals with the highest international academic influence; the patient safety phase is excavated through keyword co-occurrence cluster analysis. There are 9 international research hotspots, such as safety practice management, safety index research, safety education and safety culture construction. Conclusion:The relevant research background and current situation in the international field of patient safety are in a mature and stable stage. The research team is mainly concentrated in developed areas such as Europe and the United States, and a more closely cooperative and shared research model has been formed. The research hotspot and focus are closely around the multi-disciplinary and multi-field research theme of "patient-centered" advocated by the World Health Organization, which is worthy of domestic researchers' reference and learning. Also, the research and exploration work cored on patient safety domestically needed to be further structured and promoted.

Microbiology 1992;0(02):-
In order to cultivate advanced person with ability,we should teach students some theoretics and more practical skill during microbiology teaching. after we using the measures “examining on theoretics and practical skill that must be mastering in the lesson”. Students had been more interested in microbiology, and advanced of knowledge. So “examining on theoretics and practical skill that must be mastering in the lesson” is better method in teaching of Microbiology in Occupation technique college.

Salinity is the main limitation factor for plant growth and crop production. Many approaches to enhance plant resistance to salinity by genetic engineering have been developed.Over-expressions of salt-tolerance related genes encoding proteins involved in signal transduction pathways, ion channels and compatible solutes synthesis for the stabilization of biological structures under salinity stress are the most often used strategies. The recent progresses in genetic engineering to improve salt tolerance in plants and the possible problems in researches was reviewed.

Objective To investigate the nursing points of the mechanical ventilated patients after percutaneous endoscopic gatrostomy (PEG). Methods The nursing approaches of 28 mechanical ventilated patients after percutaneous endoscopic gatrostomy in our department was analyzed retrospectively. Results The nutritional status of the 28 patients was improved to different degree after enteral nutrition (EN) support by PEG. Thereby, the nutritional requirement of the mechanical ventilated patients was ensured effectively. Among these patients, 4 patients could take food by mouth after taking off ventilator and extubation and stoma tube was pulled out, 15 patients were discharged carrying with stoma tube and convalescent care was continued, 3 patients died of primary diseases. Conclusions The PEG is a simple, safe and cost-effective approach of nutritional support for EN of mechanical ventilated patients. The key point of insuring EN of severe patients is intensive nursing and to prevent and reduce the complication of PEG.
