Objective To evaluate the value of peripheral blood neutrophil CD_(64) level for early diagnosis of neonatal septicemia.Methods Thirty-six cases of neonatal septicemia were recruited into the study according to diagnostic criteria for neonatal septicemia:white blood cell count,C-reactive protein(CRP),platelet count,micro-erythrocyte sedimentatio rate(mESR) and blood culture;26 cases of hospitalized neonates with non-infectious diseases were enrolled as controls.The level of peripheral blood neutrophil CD_(64) was measured by flow cytometry.Results The level of peripheral blood neutrophil CD_(64) in septicemia patients were(60.37?22.70)mean fluorescence intensity(MFI),which were significantly higher than that of control group(23.14?5.10)MFI(P

Objective To isolate cancer stem cells from human colon cancer cell line CW-2,and observe the biological characteristics.Methods The percentage of CD44＋EpCAM＋ cancer stem cells which were isolated by multi-combination method was evaluated by flow-cytometry.The biological characteristics of the stem cells were analyzed by cell cycle analysis,in vitro invasion assay and in vivo tumorigenicity assay.Results The percentage of CD44＋EpCAM＋ cancer stem cells was 89.57%,and their capabilities of generation,invasion,tumorigenicity were higher than non-cancer stem cells（P 0.05）.Conclusion CD44＋EpCAM＋ cancer stem cells showed low generation,high invasiveness,high tumorigenesis,and they could be isolated by multi-combination.

Objective To investigate the risk factors for postoperative nausea and vomiting (PONV) in spinal anesthesia patients.Methods A total of 841 patients received spinal anesthesia were visited after operation.Data were analyzed using univariate analysis and multivariate Logistic regression to identify risk factors related to PONV.Results PONV occurred in 94 patients (11.2％,94/841).Univariate analysis showed that PONV was unrelated with gender,age,ASA classification,anesthesia mode (P ＞ 0.05),related with operation department (P =0.026),body mass index (P =0.020),education level (P =0.000),history of previous surgery anesthesia (P =0.005),history of PONV (P =0.000),history of kinesia (P =0.002),smoke (P =0.019),intraoperative using of tramadol (P =0.018).Multivariate analysis showed that operation department (OR =4.039,95％ CI 1.331-12.259,P=0.048),education level (OR =3.504,95％ CI 1486-8.260,P=0.015),history of PONV (OR =5.113,95％ CI 1.790-14.606,P =0.002),intraoperative using of tramadol (OR =5.316,95％ CI 1.091-25.908,P =0.039) were identified as independent risk factors for PONV.Conclusions The independent factors associated with PONV following spinal anesthesia include operation department,education level,history of PONV,intraoperative using of tramadol.Identifying patients who are at high risk for PONV will enable the formation of more timely management project.

OBJECTIVETo explore the effect of Peitu Shengjin Recipe (PSR) on nutritional states and immune functions of stable phase chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) patients.

METHODSTotally 62 stable phase COPD patients were randomly assigned to the treatment group (30 cases) and the control group (32 cases). All patients inhaled Seretide (50/500 µg), twice per day. Besides, patients in the treatment group additionally received PSR, one dose per day. After three months of treatment, the COPD assessment test (CAT) score, the index of nutritional states [including body mass index (BMI) , thickness of skin fold (TSF), mid-arm muscle circumference (MAMC), serum albumin, serum prealbumin], and immune functions (including IgA, IgM, and IgG) were compared between the two groups.

RESULTSBy the end of the treatment, the CAT score decreased more obviously in the treatment group than in the control group (P < 0.05). The improvement of BMI, TSF, MAMC, serum albumin, and serum prealbumin was better in the treatment group than in the control group (P < 0.05). IgM and IgG also increased more in the treatment group (P < 0.05). There was no statistical difference in IgA between the two groups (P > 0.05).

CONCLUSIONSAdditionally use of PSR could improve nutritional states and immune functions of stable phase COPD patients to some extent. Meanwhile, it also could improve their health related quality of life.

We describe the prenatal diagnosis and postnatal follow-up of a fetus with a pericallosal lipoma diagnosed by MRI. The pregnant woman was admitted to Zhongnan Hospital of Wuhan University in February 2019. MRI examinations with multiple sequences and imaging methods were performed prenatally at 31 +6 and 38 +3 weeks of gestation, and at two days and three months postnatally. The MRI images showed that the corpus callosum was normal and the lesion was located around the corpus callosum, with high signal intensity on T1 weighted imaging, medium-to-high signal intensity on T2 weighted imaging, and low signal intensity on fat suppression sequence. No abnormal blood vessels were found on susceptibility-weighted imaging and time-of-flight magnetic resonance angiography sequences. Based on the prenatal and postnatal MRI findings, the tumor was clinically diagnosed as a pericallosal lipoma.

Objective To provide anatomical basis for the free saphenous branch of descending genicular artery flap and evaluate its clinical outcomes for the hand soft-tissue defects. Methods Fifteen fresh cadavers injected with lead oxide-gelatin mixture for three-dimensional visualization reconstruction using a spiral computed tomography scanner. The origin, course and distribution of the perforators of descending genicular artery were observed.From January 2005 to October 2011,seven patients with skin defect on the distant limbs were treated.The flap size was 5 cm × 6 cm-11 cm × 14 cm,vascular pedicle length 5.4 (4-7)cm. ResultsThe saphenous branch was consistent. It arised from the descending genicular artery (68％) or femoral artery(32％).The diameter of the saphenous branch was 1.5(1.1-1.7)mm at its origin above 9.0(4.0-16.0)cm from the medial epicondylar.Seven cases of flaps all survived,the average followup of 28 months,close to hand flap of skin texture,some sensory recovery,two-point discrimination 8-12mm. Conclusion Free saphenous branch of descending genicular artery flap is a reliable option for the treatment of soft tissue defect in hands. The pedicles were invariable of anatomy, thickness of the flaps is comparable,and procedure is simple and time saving.

ObjectiveTo evaluate the diagnostic performance of bone SPECT and CT fusion imaging in bone metastases from pediatric neuroblastoma.MethodsTwenty-four pediatric patients with neuroblastoma were included in this retrospective study.All patients underwent planar imaging and SPECT integrated with CT.Lesion visibility,diagnostic certainty and diagnostic performance were evaluated with KolmogorovSmirnov test andx2 test.ResultsLesion visibility of SPECT alone,SPECT integrated with CT were significantly better than that of planar imaging ( both H =69.000,P ＜ 0.05 ).SPECT and CT fusion imaging,SPECT alone both detected five more bone lesions than planar bone imaging (77 vs 72).The diagnostic accuracy of SPECT imaging (62.34％,48/77 )was significantly higher than that of planar imaging (45.45％,35/77; x2 =4.416,P ＜ 0.05 ).The sensitivity,specificity and accuracy of SPECT and CT fusion imaging for diagnosing malignant bone lesions were significantly higher than those of planar imaging:82.35％ (42/51) vs 53.19％ ( 25/47),88.46％ ( 23/26 ) vs 40.00％ ( 10/25 ),84.42％ ( 65/77 ) vs 45.45％ (35/77 ; x2 =12.571,14.016,25.667,all P ＜ 0.01 ).The diagnostic specificity and accuracy of SPECT and CT fusion imaging were significantly higher than those of SPECT alone ( 53.85％,14/26 ;62.34％,48/77) (x2 =7.589,9.606,both P ＜0.01 ).However,there was no significant difference of sensitivity between the two methods (x2 =2.942,P ＞ 0.05 ).Diagnostic certainty by SPECT and CT fusion imaging was significantly higher than that by SPECT alone ( H =28.000,P ＜ 0.05 ) and by planar imaging (H =21.000,P ＜ 0.05).ConclusionSPECT and CT fusion imaging can detect more bone lesions in patients with pediatric neuroblastoma.It is helpful for diagnosing bone metastases from pediatric neuroblastoma.
