Objective:To study the effects of recombinant human platelet-derived growth factor-BB(rhPDGF-BB)combined with recombinant human transforming growth factor-β1 (rhTGF-β1 )on the expression of FAK mRNA of osteoclasts in the alveolar bone on the pressure side of orthodontic teeth in rats.Methods:Orthodontic tooth movement model was established in 160 male SD rats.The rats in experimental group were treated by injection of 10 ng rhPDGF-BB and 5 ng rhTGF-β1 in the buccal submucosal area of the mo-lar every other day from day 1 afterburner,while those in control group received equivalent volumes of PBS.The rats were sacrificed at 1,4,7,10 and 14 days(n=16)after appliance placement.Specimens were collected.Osteoclasts in the alveolar bone on the pres-sure side of the orthodontic teeth were observed by TRAP staining,the FAK mRNA expression was quantified by quantitative RT-PCR.Results:rhPDGF-BB combined with rhTGF-β1 significantly promoted an increasing number of osteoclasts on the compressing side(P<0.05),increased the expression of FAK mRNA at day 4 and 7(P<0.05),then decresed it to the control level(P>0.05) at day 14.Conclusion:Combination of rhPDGF-BB and rhTGF-β1 can increase the number of osteoclasts in the alveolar bone on compressing side,and promote FAK mRNA expression in osteoclasts.

ObjectiveTo investigate the value of a digital three-dimensional reconstruction technique in the treatment of hepatic alveolar echinococcosis (HAE).MethodsThe computed tomography scan data for 13 patients with HAE who were admitted to the First Affiliated Hospital of Xinjiang Medical University from February 2011 to October 2011 were reconstructed and analyzed by a three-dimensional reconstruction system to assess resectability,and to facilitate surgical planning and individualized virtual surgery.The results of preoperative analysis were compared with the results of actual operations.ResultsThe three-dimensional models of the liver were reconstructed successfully,and intrahepatie lesions and vessels were clearly displayed.One patient received an autologous liver transplantation,10 underwent hepatectomy,and 2 received percutaneous transhepatic cholangial drainage.Virtual operation planning was carried out for 11 patients using the three-dimensional reconstruction system.The mean volume of the liver to be resected was predicted to be 920 ml (range,339-2678 ml),and the mean percentage of liver to be resected to the total liver volume was predicted to be 45％ ( range,23％ -68％ ).The mean volume o[ the actual liver resection was 834 ml (range,315-2250 m[),and the mean percentage of actual liver resected to the total liver volume was 42％ (range,22％ -70％ ),which was consistent with the results of preoperative three-dimensional reconstruction.All patients were followed up for 2-8 months,and no severe complications such as liver failure,hemorrhage and bile leakage were detected.ConclusionDigital three-dimen-sional reconstruction is helpful in the diagnosis and treatment of HAE and effectively reduces surgical risks.

Objective Helicobacter pylori（ ）， To investigate the infection status of HP and analyze the correlation between HP Methods infection and serum bilirubin in railway drivers. A total of 2 731 railway drivers in Zhengzhou locomotive depot were - selected as study subjects using judgment sampling method. Carbon 13 urea breath test was used to evaluate the HP infection ， status. The metabolic indexes of HP positive group and HP negative group were compared and the relationship between HP Results （ ） ， infection and serum bilirubin was analyzed. The HP infection rate was 42.3% 1 156/2 731 . The older the age the ， （ ）， （ P ） longer the work years and the higher the body mass index BMI the higher the HP infection rate all <0.01 . The infection （P ） rate of HP in married people was higher than that in unmarried people <0.01 . The HP infection rate of smokers was higher - （P ） - ， than that of non smokers <0.01 . Compared with the HP negative group fasting blood glucose and serum levels of total ， （ - ）， （ ） - cholesterol low density lipoprotein cholesterol LDL C triglyceride and homocysteine Hcy were increased in the HP （ P ） （ - ）， ， positive group all <0.05 . The serum levels of high density lipoprotein cholesterol HDL C total bilirubin direct bilirubin （ ） - （ P ） DBIL and indirect bilirubin were lower than those in HP negative group all <0.05 . Logistic regression analysis showed that （ P ） HP infection was associated with low serum total bilirubin and low DBIL all <0.01 after adjusting for the confounding effects ， ， ， ， ， ， ， - ， - ， of age work years marital status smoking history fasting blood glucose total cholesterol triacylglycerol LDL C HDL C Conclusion ， ， ， and Hcy. The age work length BMI smoking and marital status are the influencing factors of HP infection in railway drivers. HP infection is associated with low levels of total bilirubin and DBIL.

OBJECTIVETo analyze and compare the volatile constituents from M. biondii and M. liliflora.

METHODThe volatile constituents were extracted by head-space solid-phase microextraction, and analyzed by GC-MS.

RESULTSeventy two constituents were identified from M. biondii and M. liliflora, the content of the 25 constituents in both samples were similar, while the kinds of the constituents were obviously different.

CONCLUSIONThe volatile constituents were different between M. biondii and M. liliflora.

An investigation of inappropriate feeding behavior and its impact was conducted in patents of 875 infants and toddlers aged 1-24 months from March 2004 to February 2008.The survey revealed that inappropriate feeding behavior included feeding sugar solution or sweet fruits daily in 72.1％ parents (631/875) ; adding yolk as the first supplementary food in 51.3％ (394/768) ; not allowing handgrabbing food or coarse food for infants over 7 months in 50.4％ (270/536) and 44.0％ (236/536) ; no meat eating for infants over 12 months in 36.0％ (54/150).And also revealed that 34.0％ (270/795) and 24.8％ (184/743) parents mixed rice flour or yolk with formula milk,respectively; 17.6％ (48/273) infant over 10 months only had cereal; insufficient or excessive water were used for reconstituting milk powder in 11.8％ (87/735) and 9.3％ (68/735),respectively.The results of investigation indicate that inappropriate feeding behavior among infants and toddlers are quite common and the reasons are various.

OBJECTIVETo compare the efficacy of different points combination in the treatment of menopausal insomnia.

METHODSNinety-six cases of menopausal insomnia were randomized into 3 groups, Xinshu (BL 15), Shenshu (BL 23), Sishencong (EX-HN 1), Shenmen (HT 7), Sanyinjiao (SP 6) were chosen in the restore interaction between the heart and the kidney group (group A, 32 cases); Zhaohai (KI 6), Jiaoxin (KI 8), Shenmai (BL 62), Pucan (BL 61) were chosen in the acupuncturing qiao mai group (group B, 32 cases); auricular Shenmen (TF4) and sensitive spot at the distribution area of auricular vagus nervus were chosen in the ear acupuncture group (group C, 32 cases). Six days made one session and the treatments were finished after 4 courses. The polysomnography (PSG) and Pittsburgh sleep quality index (PSQI) were employed before and after treatment to evaluate the alleviation of insomnia.

RESULTSThe parameters of the sleep latency (SL), rapid wave sleep latency (RL) and sleep efficiency (SE) were significantly improved in the three groups, and the differences were statistically significant (P < 0.05, P < 0.01). The SL and awaking time (AT) in group C [SL (401.08 +/- 16.54) min and AT (4.87 +/- 2.64) times] were significantly superior to those in the other two groups [SL (50.36 +/- 18.47) min, (54.87 +/- 20.92) min, AT (5.98 +/- 2.11) times, (6.13 +/- 3.04) times, all P < 0.05]. The S(3+4) (%) in group C was also significantly higher than those in the other two groups (both P < 0.05). It was indicated by PSQI that the sleep quality of group C (0.78 +/- 0.12) was significantly superior to that in group B (1.32 +/- 0.29), the total score and cured and markedly effective rate in group C [(4.34 +/- 1.43), 68.8% (22/32)] were superior to those in group A [(7.48 +/- 3.09), 53.1% (17/32), both P < 0.05].

CONCLUSIONEar acupuncture has a better curative effect than the restore interaction between the heart and the kidney group and acupuncturing qiao mai group, it is worth of being promoted.

OBJECTIVETo investigate the effect of Chinese herbal medicine for benefiting qi and nourishing yin to promote the blood circulation (abbr. as CHM) in promoting ventricular wall motion and myocardial contraction in acute myocardial infarction (AMI) patients after revascularization.

METHODSSubjects were 80 AMI patients after revascularization, of those, the 40 patients in the TCM group were treated with Xinyue Capsule and compound Tanshinon Tablet upon the basic conventional Western medical treatment and the other 40 in the control group were given conventional Western medicine alone, the course for them all was 3 months. Cardiac function indexes, including left ventricular ejection fraction (LVEF), wall motion indices, normal myocardial percentage (NMP), longitudinal systolic peak strain (LSPS) and rate (LSPSR), were observed by Doppler ultrasound under dobutamine stress at the 14 days after revascularization and the end of 3-month treatment.

RESULTSExcept the 5 cases (3 in the TCM group and 2 in the control group) dropped out in the observation period, the trial was completed in 75 patients totally. LVEF, NMP, minus LSPS of left ventricular anterior apex and inferior basement, minus LSPSR of anterior apex, middle, basement, and minus LSPSR of inferior middle, basement were more significantly increased in Chinese medicinal treatment group than those in the control group at 14-day after revascularization (P < 0.01). The treatment group, minus LSPS and minus LSPSR of the left ventricular anterior apex and the inferior basement were at markedly higher levels compared with the controls at 3-month after revascularization (P < 0.05). Minus LSPSR of the left ventricular anterior apex and the inferior basement in the treatment group at 3-month was higher than that at 14-day after revascularization (P < 0.05).

CONCLUSIONCHM combining with conventional Western medicine treatment could improve the left ventricular contractive function and wall motion in AMI patients after revascularization.

AIM AND METHODSTo determine the relationship between the nuclear envelope nucleoside triphosphatase (EC 3. 6. 1. 15, NTPase) activity and the phenotypic modulation of vascular smooth muscle cell (VSMC), the NTPase activity was detected during restenosis after de-endothelialization in vascular wall. The activities of three enzymes involved in carbohydrate and nucleic acid metabolism were also investigated by spectrophotometry.

RESULTSThe activity of NTPase increased continuously and associated with the process of intimal thickening. Western blotting showed that expression of SMalpha-actin, as the marker of contractile phenotype of VSMC, decreased continuously. Osteopontin (OPN), the marker of synthetic phenotype of VSMC, was up-regulated during the process. These suggested that intimal injury induced phenotypic modulation of VSMC. The activities of 5'-nucleotidase, adenosine deaminase and succinate dehydrogenase increased and reached their peaks on 7 days after de-endothelialization. The changes of three enzymes were associated with proliferation in VSMC.

CONCLUSIONThe efflux of mRNA and the changes of enzyme activity involved in carbohydrate or nucleic acid metabolism may be the biochemical basis in the development and progression of restenosis.

Objective The aim of this study was to investigate the relationship between obesity [measured by body mass index(BMI), waist circumference(WC), waist-to-hip ratio(WHR)]and arterial stiffness on community populations in Beijing area. Methods In a cross-sectional study of 2664 subjects(1379 men and 1285 women)aged(53.19 ± 15.73 years, mean±standard deviation), BMI, WC, WHR and other cardiovascular risk factors, were measured and carotidfemoral pulse wave velocity(cfPWV)was measured to assess the arterial stiffness. All the data were analyzed with linear correlation analysis, univariate analysis and stepwise regression method to explore the relationship between obese indexes and arterial stiffness. Results We noticed that a showed the existence of positive correlations between BMI(r=0.0829,P＜0.01)and cfPWV, WC(r=0.2659, P＜0.01)and cfPWV, WHR(r=0.2749, P＜0.01)and cfPWV, in univariate analysis,cfPWV was associated with WC≥85 cm(male)or ≥80 cm(famale)(P＜0.01), WHR≥0.90(male)or≥ 0.85(famale)(P＜ 0.01). Stepwise regression analysis revealed that WC was an independent risk factor of cfPWV, other than age, gender, systolic blood pressure, HDL-C, OGTT2h etc. Conclusion Our findings indicated that obesity was an independent risk factor of cfPWV, which was an early marker of cardiovascular and renal diseases, among community population in Beijing area. There were different relationships between obesity measurement parameters(BMI, WC, WHR)and cfPWV.

Objective To explore the influencing factors and relationship of serum 25 (OH) D levels between late-term pregnant women and newborns. Methods A total of 600 pregnant women and 600 newborns were selected in Lishui Maternal and Children Health Institution during 2016 and information were collected by questionnaires. Serum 25 (OH) D levels in pregnant women's venous bloods and newborns' cord bloods were tested respectively before and after delivery. Results Serum 25 (OH) D levels in 600 pregnant women's venous bloods before delivery were (36.25 ±14.92) nmol/L and 75.16% (451 pregnant women) had lower serum 25 (OH) D levels. Serum 25 (OH) D levels in newborns' cord bloods after delivery were (29.59±16.13) nmol/L and 82.50% (495 newborns) had lower serum 25 (OH) D levels. The relationship of serum 25 (OH) D levels between pregnant women and newborns was significant (r=0.892, P<0.05) . Vitamin D supplementation during pregnancy in pregnant women (400 IU/d) 25 (OH) D level was higher than those of not (P<0.05) . Serum 25 (OH) D levels of pregnant women were influenced by seasons (P<0.05) as higher in summer and autumn and lower in spring and winter. Conclusion Serum 25 (OH) D levels of pregnant women and newborns in Lishui were lower and different among seasons. Serum 25 (OH) D levels of pregnant women could have influence on serum 25 (OH) D levels of newborns. It should be encouraged to increase vitamin D intakes and outdoor activities, especially in spring and winter.
