Being a matter of fact, disease itself is not diversified in Chinese and Western medicine, the only discrepancy between them lies on the different understandings. The implacable different cognitions of the two medicines on an identical fact just demonstrate some deviations from the truth. Since the thing researched is the same one, the diverge must be lessened when the cognition is pushing near the truth, hereby, the recognition for communicating is get ready. Besides, communication with other medicines is the objective requirement for Chinese medicine itself due to the insufficient auto-renewing in a long time, and interchanging with Western medicine is one of the very important ways beyond question. So, the problem needed to be taken into consideration is how to make it actual, but not whether it is the requisite.

Acupuncture with gold needle insertion is utilized in Oriental medicine, and the effect of therapy is represented by anti-inflammatory and analgesic function, But sometimes the needle is erroneously inserted into abdominal organs, and then it may cause dangerous complications. We report a case of multiple gold needles in the abdominal organs without having definete clinical symptoms.

In this article, I figured out 'tuberculosis' as prominent example of relationship between introduction of western medicine and change of disease term. Tuberculosis is one of the examples of incomplete substitution of oriental/lay/non-scientific disease term by western/scientific disease term in colonial society. Western medicine practitioner in Korea had started to find and treat tuberculosis right after Koch's discovery of the tubercule bacillus(1882). It was 'kyulhak' that includes germ theory and the newest medical knowledge, but 'heasobyun' which means coughing disease, and 'bujockjung' which means consumptive disease were also newly introduced as lay term. There also had been traditional term 'nochae', which already recognized as similar term of phthisis, redefined as only oriental medicine term after introduction of western medicine. Despite of reception of the term 'kyulhak' in Korean society, these terms were widely used instead of 'kyulhak' during the colonial period.

(1) A drug provider shall prepare an expense report on economic interests, etc. to be provided to pharmacists, oriental medicine pharmacists, medical personnel, medical institution founders, or persons working for a medical institution, within three months after the termination of each fiscal year, as prescribed by Ordinance of the Ministry of Health and Wealth, and shall retain the relevant expense report, books related thereto, and base data for five years. (2) Where deemed necessary, the Minister of Health and Wealth may request the submission of the expense report, books related thereto, and base data under paragraph (1). In such cases, a drug provider shall comply therewith without justifiable grounds.

This article reveals the similarities and differences between the two materia medica systems of traditional Chinese medicine and traditional Mongolian medicine by comparing the medicinal property theories of these two; our expectations are the mutual profits and complementation of the two traditional medicines from each other, a broader clinical use of natural medicinal herbs, and then, a development of traditional medicines.
